Speed

Maybe have a chart converting power ranks of flight, superspeed and running (with info on super flight, etc.) into mhp somewhere in Gimmick's Gadgets. (it would save some of us LOTS of time during character creation!!!)

At first I was like, "What's mhp?" then I slapped my forehead and said "Oh... mph... good idea."

Yes, I like this idea.

Speeeeeed table

Postby SassyRonin » Thu Oct 28, 2004 6:59 pm

If one of you wants to do all the math (Running alone, Super Speed alone, Running + Super Speed, etc.), one way or another I can make sure the table appears in Gimmick's Gadgets for speedy reference.

If nobody feels like figuring this out for all the different combinations at all the different possible ranks (I know I sure don't) to include in a static table, I can eventually find the time to write a program to figure this out on the fly when you fill out a form.

Does Running stack with Super Speed? I didn't think it would.

Do you just want the mph for sprinting or do you want everything broken down?

The powers Running and Super Speed stack for figuring the ground speed. :)

They also stack for determining PL limits according to Steve.

Since Super Speed has Running as one of it's effects...

I think that writing up super speed as Super-Dexterity [Extras: Running, Fast Tasks; Cost: 6] would be a more effective manifestation of the power. Mechanically it's identicle save for the new bonus to Dex related skills. Why doesn't Super Dex count for the Throwing Mastery feat?

Did you ever get that email I sent you with the figures? Were they correct/ official?
I have what I need for my games now, but others may not! Let me know if I can help or if you need me to send them again.

If it helps, a buddy of mine figured out that 10 ranks of Super-Flight will get you from on the ground in/near Seattle to the Sun's Corona in 18 seconds (3 full rounds).

Really??? I thought it took the light from the sun about 8 minutes to get to the Earth (and thats traveling at light speed, or space flight +1)!!!

You'r friend may want to do the calculations again, or maybe he was talking about Space Flight???

Anyway, I'd really like to see this chart posted on Gimick's Gagets!
S.R., I thought I sent you the info already, did it check out or what?

As of right now our group is using that worksheet now, but I have yet to check to see if the math really checks out or not...
