10 Pages

Postby BerkaZerka » Sat Jul 31, 2004 11:46 am

I’m not disappointed that all the Spam threads are being purged (actually, because of it I get the dubious honor of being a ‘Firebrand’ 4 times in a row ). I am however, a bit taken aback by the giving and then retaking of the JUDGE thread. I’m not defending the validity of it’s content (pure Spam) but I feel it was a bit harsh to give it to us and then zap it away again.

Therefore, I’d like to offer to the administrators the following policy suggestion:

Why not allow a single thread of ‘value-light’ content (in the Sidekick’s Lounge) that everyone is aware will be purged (and rebuilt) every 10 pages?

This way all our humor, haikus, bad poetry, and lighthearted insults will have a place, and not spread like cancer throughout the other threads. The bandwidth will remain low and we will not feel bad when it’s zapped, because we’ll know in advance that ‘Page 10’ approaches.

We could call it ‘10 Pages,’ ‘Tasty Spam,’ ‘The Exploding Thread,’ whatever. Please consider it and let us know, thanks.

PS – What does everyone else think?

sounds like a reasonable plan to me.

Oh, and by the way, I don't use drawbacks in my game, just complications.

Frankly, that sounds like a great idea!
... and then the destruction began.

I hate all of the spam threads with a passion.
Sorry.

Then let's get rid of them and have a thread you won't accidentally visit.

BTW - for someone who claims to hate spam threads as much as you do, you sure do have a lot of posts on them of late.

Yes, a handful or so is certainly "a lot" in comparison the numbers others have posted.

See? Two posts to reply to one (and on a thread endorsing spam) - that's what I'm talking about. (and you say you hate spam) You're good...

I don’t mind Trapster. As a matter of fact, you are my post-boosting mentor. I learned from the best!
