Freedom Force Music

Postby Mitchell » Wed Sep 08, 2004 7:18 pm

Just trying to finally beat the original Freedom Force, and I have something bugging me...

HOW CAN I GET NUCLEAR WINTER'S THEME!

It's just so...GOOD!
I want to see everything there is, and then I want to see more.

Gah! That's come up a couple of times before. You can extract a particular file from one of the data folders and convert it to a zip file to get all of the sounds and music from the game (it is a rather large file). I've done it but I don't remember what the file is called or exactly where it is. Try doing a forum search on Freedom Force and see if you get anything.

EDIT: I found it. Here it is, Mitchell:

Pampero wrote:A friend in the Freedon Fans.com board explained how to get the soundtrack music

"Find Sounds.ff. Rename it to Sounds.zip. Inside, in the folder musak, will be all of the music used in FF in mp3 format.

Edit: Don't forgot to put it back to Sounds.ff after you're done, I think

The Nuclear Winter theme is always in my playlist"

Copy the Sounds.ff file and paste it to whatever folder you want to put it in and rename that copy Sounds.zip. That way Sounds.ff will remain in your game folder and will still work when you play the game.
"You can't stop me! I'm the Fed-Exorcist! I'm like the Magneto of styrofoam!"

Nuclear Winter has a fantastic theme. Was it in the demo version of the game? Cuz if it was, I've loved it since then, if not I've loved it since I got the game itself. :)

And yet, when I did post that, not a simple 'thank you' came...

My mother told me that it wasn't polite to complain when someone doesn't thank you... If you are willing to do something for someone for no gain whatsoever expect no gain... If you are doing it for a gain say so up front.... and besides just becauseit wasn't mentioned doesn't mean that it wasn't appreciated.

I would have thanked you, but I either did not own the game at the time, or I did not see the post...

Does anyone want me to post the song on the net, in case they don't own the game?
