Rest in Peace, Michael Clarke Duncan

News outlets are reporting that he died today at the age of 54, stemming from complications caused by a heart attack he suffered earlier in the summer. :(

I'm shaken from this. He wasn't that old. I'm absolutely stunned.

I give my best to his friends and family.

Wow, that's really unfortunate. R.I.P.

awwww man.. thats a bummer for sure.

at the very least, i can take solace in the fact that we will hopefully be seeing tons of his movies on Cable to honor/mourn his passing..

and Slammin' Salmon had better be one of them..

"then how come, when i say it, it sounds like Meat Drapes?"

It made me sad, too. He will be missed.

From all I have read, Mr. Duncan had a tough road to success, going through long periods of back-breaking employment and being nearly flat-busted in L.A. as a struggling actor; sadly he only had about 12 years of success at his craft. But at least his talent was eventually recognized and celebrated. Wonderful a man who could have been typecast in thug-roles ended up winning dramatic, comedic, and even romantic roles.

I haven't read of anyone ever having a negative experience with him.
