Super-Intelligence and Understanding

I had someone direct me to Understanding. It's a neatly wrapped short story about super-intelligence, told from a first-person perspective. As is, of course, necessary, there's a lot of handwaving involved in expressing the super-intelligence, but it is nonetheless an intriguing read for inspiration on how a super-intelligent and super-rational person might react. It even has a hero and a villain, although, I am left uncertain at the end as to which is which.
