I've never been a James Bond fan specifically because of the over the top humor and campiness, so when I saw Casino Royale I was amazed by how good it was.
Having said that, I didn't like Quantam of Solace as much. It just didn't have the same gusto. Something was missing.
Now we have Skyfall. It's a much smaller in scale movie than the average Bond film I think, but man does it deliver in action, story, and acting. Daniel Craig is still the predatory killing machine he's been in the past Bond movies, but this time he does seem to have real empathy and there are shades of the humor that the previous movies have had. There are even puns!
Javier Bardam is FANTASTIC as the villian. When I first saw him with the blond hair I thought he was going to be just too silly to fit in the Craig Bond world, but having seen the movie, his performance is electric, and I really dug how smart his character seemed, while at the same time being very crazy.
Overall, I loved Skyfall. It's much better than Quantam of Solace...maybe not quite as good as Casino Royale.
