Star Wars Episode 7 in 2015

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this. I mean more Star Wars stuff would be awesome, but does that mean we'd loose the Expanded U in favor of new continuity?

Almost certainly yes.

I kinda can't remember why that matters though. I used to care... But... Meh?

I'm on board with this being a great thing. I have high hopes for Disney making some great Star Wars movies that will inspire again. Plus these movies will not be without Mr. Lucas input, with $2 Billion in stock in Disney, he may be the largest or at least one of the largest single owners of Disney stock. If he wants involved somehow I don't think anyone could stop him from being involved.

Disney has Pixar, Muppets, Marvel, Indy, and Star Wars, does anyone know where I can start worshiping our new Overlords?

Really does not make sense to allow Dark Horse to continue to publish when you have a comic publication arm.

I doubt they will entertain a quality argument.

I'm just not sure how I feel about the whole thing to be honest. I can see Episode 7 being wonderful in the right hands, but I can also see Episode 1 all over again. I'll just reserve judgment.

But the thought of Pixar and Star Wars makes me giddy, as well as the crossover opportunities with Disney's other properties, ESPN, ABC and Marvel. I picture the Modern Family cast at a football game where Mickey's team is down a touchdown to Donald's team with time running out, and Mickey drops back to pass with The Hulk baring down on him. Yoda comes in, stops him with The Force giving Mickey enough time to fling a Hail Mary pass to Spider-Man in the end zone, but Boba Fett swoops in with his jet pack and picks off the pass to end the game as Chris Berman calls the whole thing!

And in the background, Leia is yelling at Han for getting too flirty with Snow White.

This is my take on the matter. The only point of interest for me is that this, along with the Marvel acquisition, could mean for some very probable and very RIDICULOUS crossover shenanigans in a future Kingdom Hearts installment.

I tend to agree with this as well, I stopped caring about SW a while ago. My biggest fear now is that somehow Disney will make a good enough sequel to possibly rekindle my fandom.

I am... cautiously optimistic.

Disney, with the Avengers, showed themselves to be respectful of a beloved property once, hiring a competent director to make something that a load of people liked.

And since they've (apparently) booted Lucas out of the director's chair...

This appears to be happening as predicted. I read on AICN that Clone Wars season 6 is in production and Season 5 will be the last to air on CN.
