Mockingbird Lane (Munsters Remake)

Postby King Snarf » Sat Oct 27, 2012 4:38 am

Okay, so who watched this. I just checked it out on nbc.com, and DAMN is it good. It's a little bit darker than the original was, but it's still pretty damn funny. And Eddie Izzard as Granpa Munster is just absolutely, inexpressibly wonderful.

It is also sadly the only episode barring ratings success. The series was killed at launch

Well, the rumor is that nbc is looking at the ratings from last night (and possibly the hits for the video online) and will possibly order more episodes if they like what they see. It did give Grimm a noticeable lead-in boost, apparently, and the reviews I've seen have been mostly positive.

It was interresting. Different. I'd watch more, though.

I'm pretty sure he was wearing his own wardrobe too :)

Eddie Izzard's Grandpa was by far the best part. If the show makes it for a full season (I doubt it), I may watch it just for him.

Pretty much my sentiment...

There was something missing from the show, but I haven't quite put my finger on it yet... Marilyn and Freddy were portrayed very well... Grandpa was a blast... Fred and Lilly could've been better... The pacing was a bit off, but passable... It's like the show hadn't quite found its identity...

...But I'd liked to've seen more... The show might've developed into something worthwhile and fun...

I think the pacing may have been the director's fault. But then, I'm not a fan of that guy...

I liked it, but I think even if picked up it will not survive long. The first episode wanted to a Dark Family Show, and I just don't see Dark and Family working well together in main stream.

My favorite scene was the Army of Spider making the silk dress, Amazing and Creepy at the same time.
