Dr Null: Battle on the Bay Bridge is a free adventure from Lame Mage Productions. It's a short stand-alone scenario perfect for an evening of gaming, particularly as an intro for new players or for trying out M&M Second Edition. It also introduces the nefarious Dr Null, who will return in Day of Dr Null, an upcoming release from Lame Mage Productions.

Image

Image

We've experimented with a few elements in this scenario, mostly focusing on GM craft and how the game runs at the table: Action Shticks to increase dramatic heroic moments, maps with annotated game statistics for easy references during play, Silent Sound Effects to bring power descriptions to life, and a GM fast reference sheet with critical info all in one place so you don't have to shuffle too many pages behind the screen.

Download free from YourGamesNow and RPGNow, or skip the storefront and download direct from our web site. Download it, play it, and let us know how it works for you.

Teen A.N.G.S.T. is coming!

Postby Shadowchaser » Thu May 25, 2006 11:56 am

Just wanted to give you folks a heads-up- My first M&M Supplement is in the works. As soon as we have the cover art done, I'll add it to this announcement, but I wanted to start letting everyone know right away:

Teen A.N.G.S.T. is a team of Teenaged supers designed to drop right into any Super-hero campaign. They can be heroes, or villains, depending on the actions of your players(and the GM's whims, of course!). A two-page spread gives you the nuts, bolts, bells, and whistles of each character(10 characters at last count!), with power levels set at 9 to 10 for most of them. Also included will be a series of mini-encounters for the GM to flesh out and tell a complete story arc, introducing and developing the key characters in the team!

Art in the book will include pieces by artists who have worked on the actual M&M rulesbooks, including the Mastermind's Manual, and the Core Rulesbook, as well as other local Atlanta artists. I'm so excited, I can't wait to start bringing you more news! Stay tuned for more info!

Day of Dr Null was designed to make it easy for you to run a fun and action-packed game. It includes our new Battle Tracker to make running city-wide mayhem a breeze, plus all the old Lame Mage favorites: heroic Action Shticks, outlined Revelations, Fast Reference Sheets, Silent Sound Effects and punched out dramatic moments, and a horde of GM Craft tips to give you an edge at the table.

Dr Null: because no situation can't be made worse with science.

The Sting of Death: An M&M Superlink Adventure

Postby James Thomson » Fri Jul 14, 2006 4:01 pm

Author: C. Richard Davies
Publisher: Plain Brown Wrapper Games
Length: 114 Pages
Expected Release Date: Monday, July 17, 2006

Death’s Sting is coming back. This fiendish sorcerer was one of the world’s premier forces of evil back around the fall of the Roman Empire. He died more than fourteen hundred years ago and the world breathed a sigh of relief. But of course nothing lasts forever. Not even oblivion.

These days barely anyone remembers Death’s Sting, but that may be about to change. Two surviving cults still worship him. One in America and another in Romania. Both are aware that the master will soon return from beyond the grave, but neither one knows precisely when or where. He will be very weak, at first (a mere PL 15 villain!) and he will need protection.

The details of the time and place of his return are contained in a book called the Lieber Malodourum. Our Heroes are drawn into this terrible matter when the American wing of the cult raids the bank where a modern occultist stores it in his safety deposit box. Before long, they too will know what dark doings are afoot, and will set off to Transylvania to destroy Death’s Sting the moment he reappears. First they are going to have to smash the American wing of the cult and rescue an innocent girl from their clutches.

Just as our heroes are about to leave for Romania, the country erupts in violence and a cabal of military officers (all of them secret worshippers of Death’s Sting) seize power in the very part of the country they need to visit. And Death’s Sting will return to the world of the living in just two days! Can Our Heroes possibly stop him in time?

To make matters worse, the PCs and the cultists aren’t the only ones who want to find Death’s Sting. Sixty years ago, another, equally monstrous force of evil, the Third Reich, sent a team of Ubersoldaten into the future to intercept Death’s Sting at the moment of his return and steal his power for their own nefarious ends. The Nazi “Special Unit” will step out of the time doorway at any moment, ready to wreak havoc on the world once more.

Oh grave where is thy victory? Oh death, where is thy sting?

A seven-part, 114 page epic adventure, this book contains additional notes on the Romanian armed forces and intelligence services, as well as dozens of NPCs.

Death of Dr Null, the fourth Second Edition M&M Superlink adventure from Lame Mage Productions, is now available.

Devious booby traps, atomic doppelgangers, tentacled horrors, and giant robots (well just one, but it's a really really big one). Oh, and an alien invasion - just a little one.

Image

Image

After Day of Dr Null and Dr Null: Battle on the Bay Bridge, it's the big finale of the Dr Null saga, so we pretty much had to pack it with good stuff:

Save the dam: Everything you need to run superhero action at a dam. Annotated diagrams, environmental hazards, and detailed Action Shticks to making saving (or destroying) the dam exciting and involving. Use it in this adventure, or steal it for another game.

Invade the base: Built to play comic book style, not as a dungeon crawl with capes. Includes nefarious traps designed as interactive encounters, not wandering damage. Find out what Dr Null has been cooking up in the lab.

Also includes all the old Lame Mage favorites: heroic Action Shticks, outlined Revelations, Fast Reference Sheets, rules annotated maps, Silent Sound Effects, detailed scenario variants so you can run the adventure how you want, and a horde of GM Craft tips to give you an edge at the table.

Available at YourGamesNow and RPGNow.

Evil Genius #1: World Domination is a collection of five world-threatening adventures for M&M Superlink Second Edition. Or as we like to call it, a fistful.

Image

Image

What are those adventures?

High Noon - Beams of light focused by orbiting crystal clouds cut massive trenches across the countryside.

The Cornfields - Genetically altered seeds spawn towering mutant plant-giants, striding out of the farmlands and towards the cities.

The Brain-Taker - Disgraced scientist Gordon Bockhurst builds a device to drain the mental energy from whole cities and take it for himself, giving him superhuman intelligence and deadly telepathic powers.

Luck Be A Lady - The infamous Crimson Claw uses Shang-gong mysticism to steal luck from gamblers to give himself the power of the celestial gods.

Ice Age - In a final stroke of revenge, Dr Null uses the Earth’s own gravity to push the planet out of orbit, sending it farther from the Sun and plunging the whole world into a new ice age.

Want new Action Shticks? Try the Evacuation Montage, Intercept the Missile, Crowd Control, Airplane Mayday and Hanging By Your Fingernails.

Even though these scenarios are written using a particular villain, the crux is the mastermind plot, so you can easily swap in any mastermind you prefer. Don't want to use Dr Null? Replace him with any other scientific supervillain, or even a non-scientific villain who has kidnapped the world’s foremost scientists and secretly put them to work. Each scenario also includes plot variants to give you even more choices for how to use them.

Available now at YourGamesNow and RPGNow.

Save the world, over and over and over again. Well, five times anyway.

Evil Genius #2: Crime & Punishment is a collection of four adventures for M&M Superlink Second Edition. Robbery, extortion, kidnapping, and general mayhem, plus the price you pay for doing all of the above.

Image

Image

Crime does not pay, but there's always someone who didn't get the memo:

Deep Runs the Dreadnaut - The armored Dreadnaut plants mines in the city's harbor, holding the seas hostage until his demands are met.

Great Armored Car Robbery - Armor-plated battlewagons stage daring daylight bank robberies. They're not robberies of armored cars, they're armored car robberies!

Doing Time - After thirty years trapped in a moment of frozen time, an innocent man blames the heroes for his unfair imprisonment. Now it's their turn.

Fame is Fleeting - In a bid for fame and fortune, Speed Demon sets out to rob more banks in a single day than any criminal before.

Want new Action Shticks? Of course you do! Try Hit by a Car, Take Out the Guns!, Sinking Ships, Gasping for Air, and Playing in Traffic. Want advice on how to run a good crime game and avoid dead end detective work? Got it.

Available now at YourGamesNow and RPGNow.

Remember, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
