Don't mind if I do!

Nice work everyone, perhaps we'll get the opportunity to collaborate again sometime.

I can't believe we had to "wait" until #54 for that one !

Okay, why stop here?

#55) Tales of the Terminus The Terminus! The All-Consuming Void at the End of the Omniverse! The Devouring Dimension! The Dominion of Lord Omega, who, with his Annihilist Generals and Legions of Omegadrones, seeks to grind down the entire Omniverse to dust and feed the remains to the Doom-Coil, one Universe at a time! Come, dear reader, as we follow the efforts of the sole true force for good in the Terminus, the Furions, as they battle Omega's Legions, seeking to thwart his efforts at consuming worlds, and their ultimate goal of removing Omega, once and for all...

Yeah, that one's already been done-with the exact same title. See number 40.

The Freedom Multiverse options made me think of this:

#56) Freedom's Reach: It's superheroics meets high fantasy, as Lord Thunder, Raven Darkcloak and the rest of the Freedom Guard protect their city from the Azure Empire, the shadowy forces of Kan-Tor, and other threats! Back up feature: World of Verecia, featuring such characters as the Eldritch One, the teenage apprentices of the Academy of the Art, the White Lady and the Sentries who guard Freedom's sister city, Green Gemstone.

That's actually only 55. You'd think a bunch of gamers would be better with numbers....

Okay, here's my revised, alternate title 55 concept...

55 (revised) ) Shards: Unsung Destiny - 10 years ago, the Shiva Comet narrowly missed Earth's orbit, and it's trail harmlessly rained minute crystals onto the planet, most of them primarily in Asia. These crystals, now known as Shivan Shards, have unveiled the ability to grant a wide range of powers. This title follows the adventures of Toshiro, a Handler, and Kaneda, a Rider, first battling other Shard-Focusers for prestige, only to find themselves embroiled in a massive conspiracy led by the Skyfire Cartel.

There's a note in the Shards setting write-up that says you can add it to the Freedomverse.

As the self-appointed editor (since this whole thing was my idea :P ), I'm going to veto the Shards series, much as I would any series spun out of Lockdown, and I loved the HELL out of Lockdown. I had a hard enough time with the Freedom Friends suggestion....

Okay, I can take a hint. One Last Attempt, then.

55) The Hand of Horus - John Farrow was never the most eager of College Students, so when his Archeologist uncle Henry invited him to a trip to Egypt to help with an excavation project, John only agreed to because it would help improve his Grades. He expected nothing more then carrying boxes and digging in the dirt, so when serpent-folk and strange monsters attacked the base camp, it was a bit of a shock, especially when his uncle was killed in front of his eyes, ostensibly on Set's orders. Then he discovered his Uncle used to be the human host of the Egyptian deity Horus, and had secretly kept Horus' Ankh, he begged to Horus to avenge his uncle's death. And Horus granted his request in a rather roundabout way, by empowering him as his new Host. Now John Farrow fights Set's minions as the new Horus the Avenger.

Well I couldn't resist the title, since it's just so perfect for Silver Age: If it's any comfort I imagine that the series owes as much to The New Frontier as it does to Challenge of the Superfriends.

It's also a nice way of summoning up the stereotypical mental image of the period, all the better to examine and reconstruct the tropes associated with this Age of Comics.
