Jacob Hunter

A word of advice, Jacob Hunter does not want to hear about how you used to watch the James Bond movies growing up. He does not want to know which one is your favorite. He does not wish to tell you which one of the actors is his favorite. Yes, it's Connery then Craig then Dalton then Bronsen then Lazenby and Moore is at the bottom (which is not to say Moore did a bad job). He does not wish to tell you about all the women he's been with. Yes, he's been with quite a few of them and they're quite fetching. Still, he is not a relentless hound dog and they were all quite willing. No, he doesn't use a Walther PPK (that was the other guy). Oh and finally, wearing a tuxedo anywhere BUT a luxurious casino on a mission is a stupid idea.

The latest in the long line of Jacob Hunters is as mysterious as they come. Unlike the previous holders of this title, he is not particularly dashing. He can be charming but he's more of the "kick you in the face" sort of secret agent than the martinis and caviar. Jacob Hunter also has a past that is as mysterious to the Foundation for World Harmony as it is to him. He has the ability to keep up with SAS operatives, is of indeterminate age (anywhere from a prematurely graying 30 to extraordinarily well-preserved fifties), and has absolutely no difficulty in killing someone who gets in his way. Since Dame Michelle Holmes made the controversial decision to bestow the title of Jacob Hunter on a man they fished out of the Thames, he's proven to be one of their most efficient and brutal officers.

Like Dame Michelle Holmes herself, this particular Jacob Hunter has a greater allegiance to world stability than tireless pursuit of goodness and light. Having killed over two hundred people since his activation a decade ago, he's not a particular great believer in moral absolutism. He veers towards the light more than the dark but he's positively somber compared to his predecessors. While this might be compared to his current Eon movie double, Jacob Hunter goes well beyond that. He's very much a man looking for something to hold onto and the only time he feels alive is during missions - a fact which disturbs him greatly. If he's the sort of man who feels nothing when killing people but only gets a rush out of battle then he's not sure that whoever he was before he lost his memory is the sort of person you'd want to know.

Yes, he's seen the Bourne movies. Christ Almighty, do we have to go through that as well?

One amusing factor about Jacob Hunter is that he does a substantial number of missions unrelated to the kind of "hard wetwork" that most regular agencies do. Yes, Jacob Hunter has been involved in numerous missions against everything from Drug Lords to gangsters. He's also been involved in a spectacular number of missions involving the House of Serpents and Rogue Metamen. Jacob Hunter's ability to remain stoic even facing a costumed man on stilts is a quality Splotch has commented on. Of course, the joke loses some of its humor when it's quite likely Jacob will put a grenade up the posterior of said costumed man on stilts. Bluntly, Jacob Hunter does not consider there to be anything colorful or amusing about criminals (costumed or otherwise). His hard-line approach has earned him the enmity of just about every single one of the Patriots save Ashley Morgan.

Jacob Hunter does have one particular organization that gets under his skin just above any other and that is P.H.A.N.T.O.M. More than his codename's historical enmity with that organization, Jacob Hunter has an irrational hatred of that organization and is interested in wiping it from the face of the universe. Unlike Black Wing and other superheroes who focus their efforts on eliminating Death Mask III and the Iron Khan (to no effect), Jacob is just as content to try and wipe the organization out from the bottom up. The Foundation for World Harmony has actually commented that Jacob's hatred seems personally motivated and wonder if it's more than just the loss of his filing clerk girlfriend, Vanessa Piece. It may, in fact, have something to do with his previous life that has remained impenetrable to even the Foundation for World Harmony's most experienced agents.

Amusingly, Dame Michelle Holmes is extremely fond of the current Jacob Hunter despite his (many) faults. Part of this has to do with the fact he's one of the most intense individuals she's met since Jack Washington Junior and still remembers that man fondly despite his ultimate fate. Jacob Hunter also maintains a grudging respect from Colonel Victory and Stephen Shepard. Ironically, Stephen disagrees with him as part of the Patriots primarily because it's his JOB to protect United States interests against Foundation hot-head intrusion. The irony, being a Foundation agent and a bit of a hot-head, not lost on him. Death Mask III has since started to notice him because he's the first normal human being to have ever survived his vengeance other than his son - a fact he's disturbed by to no end.

A final note, Jacob Hunter is a man on the edge. He's gone "off the grid" twice to carry out missions of personal vengeance, including a horrific killing spree of close to thirty Black Hand-related slavers involved in the sex trade. Describing the kind of terrible things he did to these monsters would take this board from its PG-13 family-friendly roots to hardcore R territory. Jacob Hunter is rapidly coming to the conclusion that the Foundation for World Harmony can't offer him the kind of anger satisfying vengeance he craves. Either a hero will be able to pull him back from the brink so that he rededicates himself to the cause of law and justice or he will embrace his darker side to become the scourge of criminals everywhere.

A most remarkable and excellent write-up to start off the third thread to bear the noble title of Halt Evil Doer!

So very much continuing within the vein of excellence long since established by Charles Phipps, in other words. Congratulations on producing what I think must be nearly half-a-thousand pages of excellent work, by the way. :D

As to the most recent incarnation of Agent 13, suffice it to say that he terrfies me in a way only possible for the local incarnation of James Bond-as-written-by-Garth Ennis and leave it there (for now).

While I contemplate how I might begin adding a contribution to this splendid new thread, beyond my best wishes and finest commentary* might I ask if you have any information lying around about past incarnations of the Agent? (I recall that there was a fair bit of information given about the first Jacob Hunter - aka Jacob Holmes - and a write-up of the least admirable of the lineage - well, he basically became a Bond Villain and certainly was no saint beforehand - but would like to learn a bit more, should you have the time to give it).

Please?
Inspiration has in fact just struck me, but I'll need to make an effort to ensure that relationship progresses from 'slap-and-tickle' beginnings to 'genuinely productive' conclusion. Hopefully more anon, at some later date.

If I might add my 2 cents...the entire setting is awesome!
You managed to graft so many different aspectsand references onto it and still retain an original setting that continues to amaze me. In fact, my own setting, Earth 47, is greatly inspired by your fantastic work, though I fear I could not even begin to live up to the example you set regarding consistency, originality and execution.
Please keep up the great work, I go here every day hoping to read something new on your threads.

I imagine that Jacobs revenge against the slavers was pretty much like The Slavers arc in Punisher: MAX. Very very dark.

The Many Faces of Jacob Hunter

In the world of Halt Evil Doer!, both Ian Fleming and Sax Rohmer were personal friends of the original Jacob Hunter. They met through mutual friend (and in Fleming's case - related) former wetworks man and future thespian Christopher Lee. While Jacob received a reprimand for allowing so many of his adventures against the Iron Khan and, later, communist Russia to be shared with the world - the approval rating of the Foundation shot up because of his actions.

Due the popularity of both book series, the Foundation for World Harmony developed a policy of allowing certain missions to be declassified and shared with the public in broad strokes. This backfired during the 1960s when the public was saturated with the ridiculousness of its spies adventures and several were actually killed due to the fame that they had incurred. It lead to a dramatic scale-back during the 1970s and 1980s, though it helped establish the present-day policy of many heroes to allow their adventures to be chronicled by Amazing! Comics.

Here is a short list of the inspirations for the public persona of Jacob Hunter, Agent 13. The man that most individuals associate with Ian Fleming's (and later Cubby Broccoli's) legendary creation.

---

Jacob Hunter I (real name: Lord Jacob Holmes): The son of Mycroft Holmes and father to Dame Michelle Holmes, the original Jacob Hunter was more David Niven than Sean Connery. A dapper member of the English aristocracy, the original Jacob Hunter had his faults. He was something of a snob, mildly racist, and sexist to an absurd degree. His many adventures against the (then-depowered) Iron Khan and the Black Hand took him and his Watsonian partner Doctor Peters were a tremendous success - even though he ultimately failed to prevent the Iron Khan from regaining his mystical might.

Later, Jacob Hunter was divorced by his wife for rampant adultery and focused his efforts against SMERSH. The subservice Pro-KGB activities ultimately ended with his assassinating a legendary Cuban gunman named El Dorado before retiring and accepting a lordship, contrary to the Fleming story. Sadly, he perished in a car accident close to two decades ago.

Bizarrely, the Foundation for World Harmony has refused all investigation to it being anything but.

Colonel Victory: (real name: Karl Victory) Much to his personal pride, Colonel Victory points out the Connery bond was inspired more by him than by the original Jacob Hunter. The fact that, at eighty plus years old, he looks damn near identical to a 60-something Sean Connery helps cement this connection. Of course, this may be in part due to the fact that Colonel Victory and Sir Connery are cousins rather than any mystical connection.

Born in Scotland to an American mother and a Scottish businessman father, Karl Victory showed up at 16 years old at the Steel Commando's side volunteering for duty. His parents had been killed by the German bombing and he was itching for some payback. Annoyingly able to follow Jack Washington despite everything, he trained voraciously under the Liberators and became a surprisingly capable wetworks operative. Colonel Victory attributed it to the hard upbringing he'd endured.

A hard working class hero, Colonel Victory was the sole survivor of the Liberators thanks to Death Mask III and diligantly attempted to live up to their legacy by founding the Foundation for World Harmony. Unfortunately, Colonel Victory has forever had difficulty playing politics. This is why nearly the entirety of the Foundation defected with Jack Washington Junior to become the House of Serpents in the 70s and it took his successes against it during the 80s to get the agency restored to its former glory.

Unlike other inspirations for James Bond, he's happy to point out he fought Doctor No's inspiration and which girls were similar to the ones he's been *ahem* with.

Jacob Hunter II: (real name: Geoffrey Lazarus) The ill-named Geoffrey Lazarus had only one mission as Jacob Hunter, which brought him directly against Death Mask II and his plot to poison all the world's agriculture and cause widespread famine throughout the Free World. He made the mistake of falling in love with the half-English sister of Leeanna Raines (one of the early Foundation heroines). Suffice to say, virtually everyone knows this story and the tragedy that befell her.

Geoffrey followed Death Mask II to Japan and strangled him in his castle, only for the man to escape. Geoffrey then promptly resigned from his position as a secret agent and spent the remainder of his career in Hong Kong - eventually becoming a close associate of Bruce Lee. Geoffrey's son Lazarus went on to become a secret agent himself, eventually being blinded and becoming The Midnight Swordsman. Geoffrey, himself, disappeared on a plane ride to Tibet years earlier.

Jacob Hunter III (real name Edward Pole): Edward Pole was the second of Jacob Hunter's replacements, taking over the role in the 1970s. A decidedly English agent, Colonel Victory didn't like him from the start but was overruled by the Prime Minister when it was stated they needed the intimidation factor of Jacob Hunter to carry on his legacy.

Edward Pole was a master of appearing harmless and easy going while actually being capable of shocking acts of brutality. Holding the codename of Jacob Hunter well into the 1980s, he grew weary of the constant demands that the job placed on him. After crippling Death Mask II by dropping him down a smokestack, allowing him to be disposed of by his son, Edward Pole accepted a job with PHANTOM as their European Councilman.

While shocked by his betrayal, Dame Michelle Holmes has yet to seek revenge on Edward Pole. She believes, correctly, he's the preferable alternative to another one of Death Mask III's cronies. That doesn't prevent Edward from exerting massive influence over the new European Union through a combination of blackmail, bribery, extortion, and murder. Edward is a surprisingly loyal subordinate of Death Mask III, being fully content to live the luxurious lifestyle of a rich playboy-crime lord than trying to take over the organization.

It is, sadly, due to his influence that PHANTOM has its semi-legitimate reputation in Europe.

Jacob Hunter IV (real name: Timothy Stone). Something of a hyper-intensive crackpot, at least according to his coworkers, Timothy Stone took to the job with a manic energy. Eager to prove himself worthy of the position despite being a famous agent already, Timothy had the problem of becoming too emotionally involved with both the women in his life as well as his friends at the Foundation. When his American Foundation coworker, Alexander Ryan has one of his legs bitten off by a shark, he responded by systematically targeting the cartels involved.

Jacob actually served some jail time before Alexander Ryan extradited him to the United States. Jacob eventually became a consultant to Alexander Ryan's Liberators 2.0 project that became the inheritors of America Force One (which inspired a series of video games as Alexander's own adventures were chronicled by an American techno-thriller writer - before becoming completely fictionalized with the Ryan Presidency). Timothy's current whereabouts are unknown.

Jacob Hunter V (real name: Bruce Harding): Timothy Stone's rival for the position of Jacob Hunter, Bruce had a somewhat unseemly joy at getting it. Bruce Harding, unfortunately, got the position right as the Cold War ended and the position seemed largely irrelevant. Terminating another candidate for the Jacob Hunter position (Agent 6), Bruce didn't win himself many friends at the Foundation for World Harmony. Part of the issue was that Bruce had a serious addiction to the "martinis and caviar" image of Jacob Hunter and did his best to live up the life whenever possible.

Still, Bruce was a capable enough officer in the Jacob Hunter position. He was also willing to make use of more advanced technology than any of the previous Hunters. His involvement in preventing a war between China and Khanate was, perhaps, his crowning moment of glory even if Bruce believed "the movie was stupid-beyond stupid." Bruce Harding holds the distinction of also being the only Jacob Hunter to actually be FIRED from the position due to his attempt to sue the agency for royalties from his adventures.

Bruce has since entered politics and made a almost-successful bid for Prime Minister in the wake of the Blair administration's collapse.

---

Alexander Ryan, Junior: Michael Spectre's chief rival for the position of American Foundation Head. Alexander Ryan is a second generation CIA analyst well into his sixties now. He's notable for the fact that he saved the Prince of Wales from a PHANTOM backed IRA off-shoot, negotiated the defection of a highly placed Russian nuclear submarine, and successfully PREVENTED the nuclear destruction of Baltimore by the Death's Head organization (operating through Muslim terrorists of all things). Alexander Ryan, amusingly, worked extensively with Jacob Hunter like his father and has been involved in far more missions than he ever desired to be. He's most famous, probably, for successfully defending the President of the United States from Red Spider plane-jackers (which the movie adapted him to actually being the President of). Alexander has, repeatedly, been approached by Alexander Timons to run for the Oval Office but has refused every time.

This may have been a mistake as in alternate timelines, he ran against George W. Bush in the primaries, won and became one of America's most beloved Presidents. He is currently the American Sub-Director of the Foundation for World Harmony and building a case to expose Michael Spectre's House of Serpents ties. As noted, he possesses only one leg now but the cybernetic graft created for him by the Foundation functions almost as well as the real thing.

IIRC Ian Fleming was actually a member of Royal Navy Intelligence during WWII. No reason needed to build a fictional bio for him.

Actually, it was meant to be a nod towards his RL intelligence roots and how MI6 = the foundation in many respects, presumably he was just "dual-wielding"

I always was tickled by the whole Christopher Lee was actually a WW2 commando thing, though.

Well everyone knows that the only reason they didn't cast Sir Chrisopher as James Bond was because there's such a thing as making a film TOO Awesome . . .

Charles, thank you for posting all this and I'll try to comment on it, but I also wanted to post that I will be on holiday for the next week or so and will probably not be able to comment or post anything further until I return.

Jacob Hunter: The Men, Their Myth and That Legend

Post by Libra » Sun Apr 10, 2011 4:48 pm

Jacob Hunter I

One must note that Jacob Holmes, while very much to the manner born, was also the very first of his family to claim his title by birthright - his father Mycroft having received the title for dedicated service to the state, having come from the gentry, not the nobility - and young Jacob would suffered considerable slander (and rather worse that slander) at the distinctly Conservative bastion of the Establishment to which he was sent for education.

He departed that establishment to be largely educated by his renowned Uncle soon after, but alas only after he had resolved to adopt and profess the beliefs of the British Upper Class to an extraordinary degree of intensity, chiefly due to a lack of appetite for mockery and as a defence against what was for him intolerable torment. While not in the least justifying his somewhat outmoded beliefs, one suspects it rather explains his stubborn adherence to them.

It should be noted that the severity of his sexism (to some degree at least) stems from his lifelong attempt to emulate his Uncle's renowned detachment from the charms of the fairer sex being perpetually undercut thanks to an appetite for such charming distraction inherited from his Father (much to his utter frustration).
It should also be noted that the good Doctor Peters resented Nigel Bruce's portrayal of Doctor Watson to precisely the degree that he resembled it; this was considerable.

Initially recruited by Jacob Hunter to some degree at least as a salve to that man's inferiority complex (as someone around whom he might feel confident in his own intellectual superiority, he found Doctor Peters' company quite soothing), the Good Doctor would repeatedly make up with sheer dogged tenacity, physical toughness and a seeming invulnerability to fear or embarrasment whatever he might lack in intellectual sophistication.
Colonel Victory

It should be noted that as far as Colonel Karl Victory is concerned HE looks like Ernest Hemingway, while his cousin Sean just happens to have been lucky enough to resemble HIM (even if he does say so himself).

I'd also like to note that it seems quite likely that it was Colonel Victory's FATHER who was the American, a businessman with connections to the Clydeside ship-building industry who stopped off in Edinburgh to take a look at the 'Athens of the North' and found romance with a lady of small means but a charm as considerable as her nephews would be, albeit of a more feminine sort. The two married - unfortunately, given that this was only shortly after the First World War and that awful memories had not had time to fade, Colonel Victory's father was a German-American businessman.

Despite changing his surname from 'Sieg' to Victory (emulating the Windsor family, amongst others almost equally high-placed) he still found his welcome in Scotland somewhat wanting and his business dwindling as a result. He and his wife therefore removed themselves to America, where they found less bitterness based on painful memories and where their firstborn son was born.

Time allowed memories of the First World War to fade, the rift between Mrs Victory and her relatives was gradually healed, along with Mr Victory's relationship with his former business partners, sufficiently so that the family eventually returned to Scotland, in part so that young Karl could become acquainted with his motherland, not long after the Munich Agreement was made.

Kept from returning to America by the outbreak of hostilities and his father's renewed interests in the Clyde shipbuilding industry, Karl Victory saw firsthand the difficulties of life for the working class in Fountainbridge through his association with his mother's family - and was actually with them when his mother and father were killed during the Clydebank Blitz in 1941. Having resolved to avenge his parents and been denied entry into the British Army due to his youth, his American citizenship and being too cheeky by half to the recruiter, he was obliged to resort to his second choice - chasing down the Steel Commando, already operating in Europe with the Liberty-Men even before the US declared war later that year and informing him that he'd just acquired a partner in Nazi-busting and Spy-Smashing.
It should perhaps also be noted that Colonel John Karl Victory seems to have passed that appetite for Adventure and his aptitude for trouble-making to Jack Washington Junior, his informally-adopted son, rather than J.W. Victory his own natural son - who loves his father but long ago declined to allow himself to be advanced by his father or to indulge himself with those of his father's weaknesses which he had inherited.

Well, except for that fondness for females, but in GENERAL Victory's defence he tends to marry them, either first or at least eventually.
It should also be noted that Colonel Victory refused to permit himself to be promoted beyond that rank, mostly he tended to regard the prospect of promotion as some kind of conspiracy to spoil any remaining chances he might have of fieldwork* - his son General Victory preferred to regard promotion as increased responsibilty, rather than increasingly restrictive.
*Rumour has it that his precise words were "I'll accept promotion to General Rank the day they let me race into the Pentagon on a motorcycle, barechested and with a femme fatale waiting to meet me. If they let me pot-shot some of the stuffed shirts I'll let them make me President!"
Jacob Hunter II (Geoffrey Lazarus)

It should be noted that Lazarus refused to use any name other than 'Jacob Hunter' after his wife was killed in, of all things, a drive-by shooting. Having himself been nearly killed, struck by several bullets from the volley which killed his newly-wed wife, Death Mask II assumed that he was in fact dead and took considerable amusement from the fact that his notorious enemy had been killed via something so mundane as a volley of gunfire.

Right up until his enemy made good use of his second life to throttle him almost to death, not long after Colonel Victory (during the course of an only tangenitally-related operation) smashed the most expensive single operation P.H.A.N.T.O.M had executed to date.

It was a very, very bad day for James Moriarty.
On a more positive note, Mister Lazarus seems to have become derived comfort from certain oriental philosophies in which he had become educated during the course of the period he had spent in Japan, learning how to pass himself off as - not a native - but a foreigner who had spent a lifetime in the country.

In fact he seems to have become at least an associate of the White Lotus Society later in life, his son (by a Japanese woman he had married) would go on to become a full member. As a further interesting foot-note, the Midnight Swordsman would become a friendly rival to Lone Wolf (though the friendship was strained on at least one occasion as a result of a deception perpetuated by Supreme, the two reclaimed it and cemented it in the course of one of the finest beatings Supreme has ever received).
Jacob Hunter III (Edward Pole)

Pole still freely uses the name 'Vincent Templar', the professional sobriquet which he had created for himself before he was ever Jacob Hunter, part of a gentleman-thief and freelance agent persona he'd adopted as a means of publicising his skills, all the while hoping to be snapped up by one of the Great Powers and employed as their agent to mutual profit (preferably in his favour).

Despite being more of a thief than he was a gentleman, the plan worked perfectly.

The ease and grace with which Edward Pole integrated himself into the PHANTOM hierarchy is quite easily explained by the fact that he was ALWAYS coldly mercenary - having in fact been employed AS a mercenary soldier on at least one occasion prior to his acceptance of the role of Jacob Hunter - and larcenous to boot; these qualities are sadly seen as more of a benefit than a vice in the Espionage community, so long as they are disciplined. Having been obliged to subordinate satisfaction of these tendencies to his duties as a Foundation Agent for decades, he eagerly adopted them once again upon his retirement from that agency and sought whatever means of satisfying them which could offer him the best price.

Unfortunately this was PHANTOM - which sweetened the offer with the opportunity to make all Europe dance to his tune, no questions asked, not even minimal scruples required. How could any pathologically charming lair, raconteur and cold-blooded mercenary refuse?

Jacob Hunter IV (Timothy Stone)

It must be noted that Timothy Stone had in fact tendered his resignation prior to launching his vendetta against the Drug Lord who had assaulted his friend - along with his cartel and any other which happened to catch his eye or otherwise get in the way; he caused so much havoc, in fact, that he was only released from prison after being extradited to the United States to stand trial for crimes perpetrated on American Soil in the course of that rampage - he was pardoned, but only after he had already effected self-release from Alcatraz (where he'd been secretly held in solitary confinement, as a temporary means of avoiding the scrutiny of enemies who might infiltrate the active prison system).

Had he not later assisted a very clandestine part of the US Government during the course of an operation again Domestic Terrorists holding The Rock, it is quite likely that the pardon would not have stuck; becoming a high-priced, highly intense and quite absurdly stressed mercenary in the aftermath, a complete psychological breakdown seems to have been averted only by a chance meeting with (of all things) a rather nice suburban American Couple.

His recovery greatly aided by his being entrusted with being trusted as a consultant for the Liberators 2.0, he was last seen somewhere in the Greek Islands, apparently in search of something ... or someone.
I must confess that this mention of the Liberators 2.0 has rather piqued my interest Charles; I can guess that they are a fairly new team, quite probably incorporating Metahuman soldiers as well as more conventional officers, very probably as the most hands-on part of his efforts to build a case against Michael Spectre.

I would actually love to hear more about them, if you have anything further to share, please?

At any rate I feel that I can safely say the veterans of America Force 1 would likely see a lot of promise in these youngsters; that they refuse to admit it except under extreme duress or the guise of humour seems almost certain.
Jacob Hunter V (Bruce Harding)

It must be noted that much of Harding's admittedly-excessive satisfaction at being given the role of Jacob Hunter after the departure becomes more understandable when one realises that the job was HIS - given his mental stability was greater than that of Stone - or would have been had he not been committed to a rather surreal Foundation operation charged with monitoring a reality-warping young lady.

His repeated frustration makes his satisfaction more comprehensible, though not necessarily more laudable.

It should also be noted that he himself took no satisfaction in the execution of Agent 6, a double agent working on the outskirts of PHANTOM who had been obliged to forget which side actually commanded his allegiance in order to survive and suffered increasingly mental instability, unable to distinguish between his real personality and that which he had assumed for the mission, suffering a catastrophic mental break after an incident during which he sustained horrific scarring to one side of his face.

To this day it is a matter of frightening uncertainty as to whether he intended to destabilise the geopolitical situation of the planet so that he might prove his bone fides to PHANTOM or simply create a political climate which would once again favour the Foundation.

As for his being fired from the position, his attempted suit against the Agency represented more of a last straw, it's frustration with Harding stemming as much from the fact that the man had disappeared with a rather impressive haul of portable precious items (captured from The Iron Khan's 'private collection') and an American colleague, the former of which was never seen again and the latter of whom became Mrs Harding - although only after a celebration of Mr Harding's spectacular success which lasted for a month, during which not a trace if him could be found.

After the failed attempt to become Prime Minster, Mr Harding declared that he would now finally seek out an honest profession - his career as a gentleman thief has to date been an illustrious and highly lucrative one, as certain members of the Highest Society would really HATE to point out (an ex-Foundation officer robbing them blind they could cope with revealing - the fact that he and his wife made them look STUPID in the process is something they'll take to the grave).
PREVENTED the nuclear destruction of Baltimore by the Death's Head organization (operating through Muslim terrorists of all things).
Count Reich would like to note that they were Iranian Muslims and therefore orginal-article Aryans - not to mention dead-on certain to start a Geopolitical Crisis of startling proportions had that busy-body Ryan not thoroughly talked EVERYONE into submission.

Count Reich thanks Orkus every night that Do-Gooder didn't become President - Orkus, unimpressed, just orders him to get back to work and stop play-acting his way through the daily routine of a Mortal.

I now want to see HED versions of the classic Bondian henchmen like Jaws, Oddjob, Red Grant, and Mr. Wint & Mr. Kidd.

Why not try and come up with some yourself? I'm sure that Charles would enjoy hearing your ideas on the subject as much as he seems to enjoy my own contributions! :D

Ronald 'The Czech' Cartwright
AKA: Radek Kolar (birthname), Roger Wright, Milos Navratil

One of SMERSH's top field agents throughout the 50s and early 60s. Cartwright was actually born in Omaha, Nebraska to Czech immigrants. His parents americanized the families names soon after he was born. His parents were heavily involved in politics particularly socialists causes. When Germany invaded Czechoslovakia in 1938, Ronald left America to go join the Czech resistance. Cartwright being a natural athlete survived the war and joined the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia helping evict ethnic Germans from Czechoslovakia. Soon, Cartwright was recruited into the KGB and given training to be a field agent. Cartwright's favorite weapon is a piano wire garrote the he keeps hidden in a wristwatch.

Cartwright makes an excellent field agent. He speaks English with a mid-western accent. He also speaks fluent Czech, Slovak, and German. He often poses as an American when out of the Soviet Bloc. Cartwright is tall and muscular with brown hair and brown eyes. Other then his garrote, Cartwright is a good shot with a pistol and rifle and is trained in sambo. He is not an intelligence agent though, his work is assassination, abduction, and recovery.

Nice one, Phrozen.

I have been thinking about your request all day.

I'm debating keeping them Bond realistic versus full on HED!
