Space timeline

PART 4

2008- Orkus invasion____________________________________________________________
Taking advantage of the post-crisis chaos the Arcane attempt to steal the magic of 7 seemingly random planets before their efforts are detoured by the Galactic Guardsmen, the Void Patrol and ORBIT.

Steel Commando, Defender and Prof. Paradox retrieve the Omni-Eraser from the Weaponers in a dimension over the planet of Qward.

Golden-Age hero Bulletproof knocks out Captain Thunder and uses the Omni-Distruptor to erase Orkus's astral form weakening the Dark lord for a smackdown from Divinos, Protonik and Minotaur but erasing himself from existence in the process.

 Heroes Black Wing II, Mar-Ann, Gauntlet, Copernicus and Patriot(Paragons ver.) piloting the starship Antares use a temporarily activated Acathii gate to drag an interior devasted Abbadon into Null space. By deactivating the gate before the 548 second cut-off point they were able to trap Abbadon inside the void between universes and prevent the Rha'Zha'Keth from escaping into reality. Unfortunately due to their accelerated speed the Antares was depoisted at least 3 galaxies away in the Pegusus constellation.

65 Exterminator robots escape Earth and fly into deep space.

 The starship Seeker 3000 enters from beyond the galaxy

The Arcane are prevented from draining an eight planet by the quick actions of the fledgling Alpha Guardsmen.

 Captain Mercedes Val of the Lor Navy is assigned to Earth as it's liason. Though she was hoping on working with the Freedom League along with Daedalus and Psuedo she is instead assigned by AEGIS to safeguard Project Pegasus.

The Missing Year_______________________________________________

 Saeduun/Voth war ends in creating the Maelstrom

All Grue in the known galaxy fall into a week long coma allowing for many of their enemies to either annex or raid their territory un-mollested or discover sleeper agents within their ranks.

One of the Tsavong Masters devolves into a monsterous beast and goes on a planet wide rampage, on a related note many of the Tsavong warriors seemed to have undergone a boost in their intelligence. The other masters find this information equally alarming and perplexing.

:arrow:All Orbit patrolled worlds are taken hostage by their AI troops and a massive bounty is put on Yril Dx's head.

:arrow:The Vree uphold their tradition for mischief by introducing an additive that turns any creature that consumes it blue for several days to the food supplies of several Republic, CoAP and LoAW planets.

:arrow:The Arcane attempt to make a foothold in the mystical universe of Otherworld

 Jonas Simbacca turns down the offer to join the GPA but shows his support by offering his hideout as their official meeting place earning the rank of Phantom Lord.

Admiral Roh-Mel is put in charge of a salvage operation charged with extracting the remains of the Ori mothership from the event horizon of system 692b. Since this is a covert operation of course every other stellar super power in the quadrant is either aware of it or attempting something of their own.

:arrow:All the major powers in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants sign a treaty to disignate the Maelstrom as a militarized neutral zone, allowing for science and research teams to further investigate the dangers of the anomoly.

The Galactic Gamblers start taking bets for how long before the next big disaster strikes the galaxy.

 A small delegation from the Saeduun meet with the Lor Republic to discuss their psychic potential and that of the Zhondi Consuladant from the Outer rim Marches.

 All Orbit Client worlds are sealed off from the Galaxy at large to stop the Starro incursion from creeping in. Roused from his slumber Kalamus takes advantage of the chaos to conquer some of the weeker enclosed worlds.

 A cloaked figure petitons the Psions to create for him a "masterpiece" from the coma prone forms of countless recovered Grue metamorphs.

The povety stricken world of Atraxis is scouted as the official headquarters of the Alpha Guardsmen.

Divinos and Battle Czar join forces to stop the Forever Knights from stealing the remains of Battle Czar's old ship that has drifted into Mar's orbit.

:arrow:instability within the Republic over current policies and the mysterious "Future Profile" leads to the creation of new factions. One of which commissions the droid builders of Genosis to begin work on a weapon that will match the Dominion's Transwarp Canon while another starts research to create a mass produced version of the Saeduun's super weapon.

The Grue Meta-Mind begins mass-production of multiple meta-grue.

:arrow:A beweildered wife attempts to free her husband from the prison dimension in Dr. Dungeon's costume releasing several monster's in the process.

This attracts the attention of a few Gatesmen located in the vacinity, who remedy the situation by recapturing the escaped prisoners and locking down the damaged costume.

Earth is placed on a probational period and expected to build up it's forces for an eventual war in 300-700 years time should they fail the next test. The US Government and most of the hero comunity are left rather confused.

Shanga the Star Dancer and her mate the former WWII hero the Blue Diamond are spotted waltzing among the moons of Jupiter.

The Grue Meta-Mind un-characterlistically creates the War-Grue as a detorrent against future hostilities with the as yet unknown Crog Imperium.

 Lobo, Dirty Wulf, Lunatik, Nathan the "Megaman" and the Sky-walker of Starron wake up from a week long bender in a prison cell in the Labyrinth. Agree to work for ORBIT in favor of getting bail and the charges dropped.

The Lor and Tsavong seeing an increase in Grue activity around it's borders start increasing their own forces.

Research vessels have their first encounter with creatures from within the Maelstrom called Growlers.

 Mandolorian mercenaries foregoe traditional 1st Contact precedures and offer their expertise to the nations of Earth. With the combined efforts of UNTIL, the Freedom League and the Global Guardians the station and it's Arc-light canon are destroyed, though they were unable to find the location of Viper's secondary site.
Unknown to all party's involved, the station was not fully destoyed and is later retooled into a orbital space platform dubbed the Torchlight by the FoWH.

 Dib in his overzealous nature to defend against the unknown accidently shuts down both the FoWh and SWORD orbital defense grids. Guard is forced not only to apologize but place him under controlled supervision(read: babysit).
Scorpio 6, Aegis, and what's left of Argent take this opportunity to covertly infiltrate the recently discovered Observer research node un-molested for their own gains.

:arrow:The Trials of Knowledge begin after Black Wing II's (implied)refusal to return the tidbit of universal knowledge he picked up from the Universal Library(what he took and how he's to return it are never made clear) results in the creation of a living figment of his imagination calling itself White Wing. A number of challenges are set into motion to see if he is worthy of the information he un-intentionally took. Meanwhile a team of pan-dimensional beings in the form of mice try several failed attempts to get at the unknown information locked in his subconscious.

 A time traveling Doctor Chronos stops the Timelord Omega from stealing Doc Aeon's body.
Omega is a psycho at the end, but you've got to hand it to the poor guy. He really just wants to be out of the Annihilation Zone or wherever he's trapped.
 Several farm worlds belonging to Thran "guest" races are ravaged by a swarm of genetically enhanced insects.
Damn, giant locusts!
 The Ori's attempt to convert the inhabitants of Brunis III to Origin are interupted by a Necromunger conversion force. The Prior's attempts to slay them by force or plague is rendered moot by the fact that they are partially or already dead and leads to the prior's eventual capture and forced conversion.
The Ori versus Riddick's gang. Now THAT's quality fanfic!
 A combined fleet of CoAP member world ships, Thundarian warbirds and Thran Allegiance Warmasters engage a lone Ori mothership. Though the whole fleet is decimated the Thran are able to cripple the ship and use it's own shields against it by collapsing a star and traping it in it's event horizon.
Roh-Mal wouldn't exactly call that one a win, guys.
 Galactic Guardsmen Sherman is contacted by the Vorlons and told to seek the elder one Loriean, one of the few beings that's old enough to know the full history of the Ori and the Ancients.
Earth should really stay out of space, it's DANGEROUS out here. Loriean would probably have this to say, "Everyone sucks, especially them."
 Ymir and an assorted grouping of Galatic guardians and Star knights manage to use a device that seals off the Supergate re-routing it's path into it's own power source a blackhole
Ah, it's good to be Thor with the knowledge of Bruce Banner.
 Ymir manages to trick the Orici into sending Mrrdyn's Sangral into the Ori Galaxy thus severing their masters connection to the physical universe or destroying them in the process, though the Orici manages to escape and 2 more Ori motherships manage to enter through the gate the Ori have now been rendered leaderless.
How does Ymir feel after destroying an entire race of evil religious fanatic demigods?

"Eh, I felt like a sandwich."
 Orbit sends a response team into the Ori Galaxy to find the location of an ancient anti-Ori weapon called the Ark of Truth
GO FORTH heroes!
 Doc Tomorrow's plan to assist the heroes by giving them the location of the Ark of Truth is sidelined when he is forcefully summoned along with Doc Aeon, Doc Epoch and the Clockwatcher by the Ellimist to stop the efforts of humanity's far-future descendants the Therians from invading into the 20th century.
Where was the Doctor at this time? "Oh, I thought they could handle it."
 The Lord Marshal converts the Orici then consumes the collected energies of her masters, further increasing his power.
He's also not a twit, too. So he's got that going for him.
Star Knight and the Galactic Guardsmen Mar-Ann, Shepard and Wynessa return to Earth after recieving a priority alert from both the Freedom League and the Patriots.
DUN DUN DUN.

"Hey! That's ours!"

Oh, that's not good.
The Grigori decree that all Guardsmen will not interfere with the duties of the Alpha Guardsmen unless specificly ordered.
Smart guys.
All Grue in the known galaxy fall into a week long coma allowing for many of their enemies to either annex or raid their territory un-mollested or discover sleeper agents within their ranks.
Man, I hate when that happens.

"GRAND Admiral..."

Oh quiet, Roh.

But funny, funny line.
The Galactic Gamblers start taking bets for how long before the next big disaster strikes the galaxy.
Depends on sales.
A cloaked figure petitons the Psions to create for him a "masterpiece" from the coma prone forms of countless recovered Grue metamorphs.
"Ewwww," says one of his daughters.
Divinos and Battle Czar join forces to stop the Forever Knights from stealing the remains of Battle Czar's old ship that has drifted into Mar's orbit.
"You could get a cyborg clone of you created from just leaving those things around!"

Doctor Dungeon always deserved his very own special beatdown.

Oh yeah, in no way will that go well.
:arrow:The Antares and it's crew finally return to their home galaxy. Marr-ann relaxs on Earth before returning to High Galactia to submit her report to the CGC.

Prince Loathsome is given a weapon by a cloaked individual called a Yellow Element Battery and told to do with it as he pleases.
You can just HEAR the manical laughter.
Ultramind attempts to take over the cloning stations of Kamino
I wonder if the Jedi will be founded by White Lotus Society mystics from Earth getting caught in Space.

Re: Welcome to the "Working Title?"-verse(Entropic Masters)

Post by ultra8 » Fri May 20, 2011 1:32 am

What ever Happened to.......
The Entropic Masters

After losing their leader and their base of operations, the Entroptic Masters are in a cranky mood. Those who didn't have worlds for their personal use have had to make do with the nearest planet or dimensional plane much to the chagrance of those already living there. Losing Abbadon has also attracted the attention of other powerful beings from this universe and the next, who would have never even contemplated coming here due to Abbadon's presence.
“Nature abhors a vacuum.”
François Rabelais
Belial: Finally got his heart's desire, a challenge worthy of his skill...a massive fight between him and earth's forces made up of Hercules, Thor, Gligamesh, Samson and a strike team composed of Deadpool, Black Dragon, Agent X, Superior, Wolverine, the Wilson Family, Weapon X-2, Deadshot, the General and the rest of the Deadly Dozen.
The battle lasted a good hour well after the intial fighting had died down. Had not exhaustion and the arrival of Protonik and the Sentinel not dulled his brain and wits he probably would have stayed and continued.

Lilith: Sits in her newly acquired castle in the Abysal realms recovering and plotting her revenge against those who ruined her lifestyle, most especially the heroes of Japan. Not only did they sucessfully repel legions of her children but when she pulled a manuever that should have crushed their morale, pulling an "Aku" and throwing the oldest of them-Prismatic Warriors IchiGo, into a tear in time it only served to rile them more and made them fight harder. Their combined attacks slaughtered 3 of her strongest generals and to add injury to insult, PW IchiGo returned from their exile in not only a much bigger and meaner Super Robo but accompanied by 2 more giants and promptly sliced off her arm in an attack that would have destroyed her if not for her final General shielding her from harm.

Morwen: Came to an understanding with her sister Serena, "you stay on your side of the hemisphere I'll stay on mine". Since then she's been wondering from one luxious spot to another charming hearts and turning heads and causing her share of trouble and mistchef in her wake. She's even managed to charm the heart of Kid Omega to a degree that he actually raised an island from the pacific just because she asked him to find her a private yet exclusive beach to bask in.

Mike Drake: Died..(but he's better now) when Deadpool stabbed him with an ornamental dagger so that he could fulfill 2 important goals 1) sever the mystical link between him and Orkus sending it's lifeforce back to sender and 2) cheese him off enough that he'd be distracted away from Serena Mass' spell.
He's currently enjoying some much needed vacation time and like's the fact that he's demon free though wishes that the 2nd lease on life didn't come with a large streak of gray hair or a scar that looks like a smilely face. On the plus side he got a cool dagger out of it, though it does seem to have attracted a lot more attention from the Netherworld and other parties.

Diavalos:His non-interference was surprisingly easy to buy by the Time Collaboraters, though they know they'll be hearing alot of grief about it from Doc Tommorow and the Van Helsings once they find out what they used as collateral.
Namely the Limbo stone and it's prized occupants the original Dracula and Van Helsing.

Louhi: Fougt against Ymir and Athena over the skies of Canada while trying to release the Great Beasts from their imprisonment, so they could help her in her efforts to block out the sun. The arrival of Flights Alpha through Gamma and the solar powered hero the Ray turned the tides of battle in their favor.
Before she could flee or be captured she was saved/kidnapped by a being called the Lord of Endless Winter and whisked away to a realm called Avidarel of the Sundered Star.

Thantoss: With his forces he invaded Freehold and Empire City until Splotch and the Guard's Sentinel lead him away from the city while evading Demon Drones and Doom Dragons.
He has sworn eternal vengence against the Sentinel for not only single handedly defeating him but doing it in such away that it made him look bad(the fact that he was defeated by an otherwise unknown entity(at least to him) is a great insult an offense to his pride).

Toldaz the Destroyer: After his Dragon pets were put out of commision by the Doom Society's Flute of the Dragon Piper, Toldaz went on a rage filled rampage across the mid-western United States forcing the FoWH to dust off the old Battle Force 2000 Future Fortress to stop him. Though they were not able to stop him they did hold him off long enough for the Assault satelite SkyArk to fire it's binary fusion generator severing one of his heads and stunning him long enough for the mobile assult team Legionnaire and the Order to arrive.
It took the arrival of Project: Giant-Killer's Jack and Jill severing 3 more of his heads before his fight or flight instinct forced him to retreat.

Quasimodo: Had planned to finally destroy France "for those lies printed by Hugo" but was stopped by a team of FoWH agents and a mix of France's super and science heroes who used an un-finished transmatter gate to suck him up and deposit him in another dimension. Which dimension they aren't completely sure(it was unfinished), but Blackwing II was surprised to encounter him again inside the Triangulum Galaxy as one of the new vassals of the Acheron.
Unfortunately his new boss is just like his old boss minus the perks.

Brother Blessed:
After trying to start a religious war before the invasion had fully reached Earth, his plans were stopped by the combined efforts of Merlyn, the Global Guardians and the John smith Society. Though they were unable to land a killing blow he was last seen being devoured by a Giant demon-magnified Kalak the Mystic. Whether he survived after Kalak's defeat is any one's guess.

Morgath the Unspeakable:Used his magic to quite literally be in 3 places at once. While he lead an assualt on Russia and Europe he also was leading an assualt on Otherworld to gather it's magic all while the "true" him was underneath Los Dios preparing a ritual which would have given him absolute power.
He is Currently sealed within his own gate but is very much conscious of the world around him. He can see everything on both sides of the gate and what he see's would make him laugh, if he still had a mouth to laugh with.

Orkus:
After having his astral body destroyed and rendered magic-less though still far stronger than any mortal. Orkus suffered a much more terrible fate then the rest of his kin. Due to Dr. Destroyer crashing and detonating his mobile-island fortress Destraya III inside Abbadon and Dr.Void teleporting high explosives and out-dated terrordrones to destroy the turrets and munations factories, Abbadon wasn't able to unleash it's full power and thus continue to weaken the Queen of Horrors, his mother.
Now trapped inside the sea of universes the Queen of Horrors is spending some quality time with her insufferable offspring and looks to not be a critical danger atleast not til 2031.

Planet Eaters, the Planet Trade and the Devourer of Worlds

ImageImage

The Planet Eaters
source: Monsterpocalypse
A species of giganic monsters of unknown origin that arrive on planets via comets and meteor showers. Their names are pretty self explanatory, they eat everything in sight(specifically man-made structures) till they reach their fill then burrow into the planet to sleef it off. Rinse and repeat until the planet literally splits apart and they ride the debries to their next meal.
It would be easy to label the Planet Eaters as evil or demonic, but they really are no more evil than a domesticated animal that turns on its trainer or a wild animal that attacks a hiker.
It’s just their nature. I’m sure they would be fine with a live and let live policy, as long as you could live in their tummy.
They're considered more of a nucence by the more advanced civalizations because they're a pain in the but to get rid of. Their physical make up allows them to survive the vacum of space and their harden shells can withstand the heat of stars.
Their at least 30 or more on Earth scattered about Michigan, Japan, Mexico and Canada. All attempts to evict them from the planet have proven rather difficult, though Raven Industries and the John Smith Society have been working on something for the past few years that may be effective.
Shadow Sun Industries is so far the only company on Earth to capture and regularly contain a live speciman(albeit a small one), itself recovered after a failed plan by Unity to unleash one on Tokyo only for it to eat they're entire base instead.

Sun Eaters
source:DC
A Sun-Eater is a living nebula with the ability to drain whole stars of all their energy; this snuffs out the star and causes its solar system to freeze (and all living beings in it to die). The resulting nova from the dying star flings the the sun-eater to the next solar system and so on. The Sun-Eaters were created by the alien race known as the Controllers as a way to destroy entire worlds that they judged to be too "evil." Each Sun-Eater was kept in a dormant state until needed, watched over by a Controller.
Over the eons some rogue ones became wild and become a part of the galatic ecology migrating from one part of the galazy to the other
A planet called Minosyss once hosted a Sun-Eater factory hidden deep inside it's core at one point but has since vanished without a trace.

The Scourge
source: Cosmic Threats
The rapidly breeding, death-bringing species of reptilian-insectoids known rather simply and minimally as “the scourge” has been around for as long as even the most ancient of interstellar civilizations can recall. Their insatiable hunger is matched only by their ability to eat and metabolize just about anything and their biological need to reproduce. The Scourge eat anything in their path only stopping to lay anywhere from 1 to 2 dozen eggs(depending on how much it has consumed since the last spawning). If they are unable to eat or reproduce they die due to their own hyper-metabolisms.
They travel the universe in swarms that ebb and wane, riding on cosmic flotsam and jetsam in their hibernation sleep, awaiting an opportunity to awaken and feed. As their need to feed forces them to reproduce in turn, the swarm continues to grow and expand until, inevitably, their entire source of food is gone and they are forced to feed upon each other and cast themselves off into space again, beginning the cycle anew. Entire sectors of space have been lost this way as the scourge eats (literally) entire planets down to their core with an exponentially increasing speed that matches their reproduction.

Because of the terrible danger even one such creature represents, harboring them under any circumstance
carries a death sentence in just about every corner of the galaxy that has ever encountered them, even amongst some of the more peaceful and liberally minded races.

Image
Omfinis the Feeder
source: Cosmic Threats
A monsterous planet sized creature of unknown origins that journeys the cosmos flying around at sublight speed in search of food. Predating any surviving civilization’s history, Omfinis has always traversed the vacuum of space in a ceaseless hunt for food. Asteroid rings, comets, spaceships, and even entire planets are all on the menu if they are in Omfinis’s path.
Terrifying and awesome though Omfinis may be, it is little more than an animal and so it cannot be reasoned with and it has no concern for any living things that may be slain by its feeding. It’s unknown what Omfinis truly looks like, as millions of years of feeding on planets and the like has allowed the resulting detritus (cosmic crumbs, if you will) to be pulled to its mass by its gravity, covering Omfinis with a second skin of such materials. In fact this second skin has resulted in the evolution of an entire eco-system much like you’d find on other life-sustaining worlds, although it is extremely hazardous and always changing for lack of stabilizing elements such as an orbit and moon.
Survivors without the means to go elsewhere have managed to settle upon the creature as a last resort. Although Omfinis’s secondary skin is hardly welcoming(it’s covered in deep fissures, magma flows, deadly weather patterns, and all manner of nasty, adaptive beasts evolved to survive in such an environment) communities and even small kingdoms have developed, with nomadic cultures being far more common
due to the frequent environmental shifts and upheaval on the surface.
Just how far down this skin reaches before the true Omfinis is reached is not known.
Many heroes have faced a moral dilemma as any attempt to destroy the creature(if such a feat is possible) would lead to the countless death of those surviving on the monster planet's surface.

Image
The Pioneer
source: Cosmic Threats
Claiming to be the harbinger of an interstellar race otherwise unheard of, called the Y’igg’ildan, the artificial life form known only as “The Pioneer” tirelessly scours the galaxy for planets that suit a series of programmed variables for the purpose of finding planets for its enigmatic masters to settle. When such a planet is found, the Pioneer begins the process of using the local resources to construct mammoth automatons that will then utilize the remaining resources to replicate and terraform the planet to Pioneer’s protocols, after which they will self-destruct by reducing themselves back to their base elements.
Not only does the Pioneer have no concern for any life forms already living upon the targeted planet, but the terraforming alters the environment into one that has thus far proven uninhabitable and deadly to every other known race. The Pioneer will defend the process at any cost, mercilessly and efficiently laying waste to anyone or anything that would impede it.
As such, it is understandable why there is an interstellar bounty on this creature’s head and why even the slightest rumors of a sighting will throw entire sectors of space into a panic.
Over the centuries there have been a handful of beings claiming to have destroyed the Pioneer, including interstellar armed forces, super-heroes and even a villain or two. If true, the Pioneer’s constant return would indicate that it either has incredible recuperative abilities, allowing it to regenerate from even molecular remains, or there is more than one model out there, stalking across the stars and leaving
lifeless planets in its footsteps.

The Planet Trade
source:DBZ and assorted Ultraman villians & scifi/fantasy series
The Planet Trade was founded by a multitude of powerfull alien races after it was discovered that they shared common interests, business senses and realized they were all unable to kill one another. The planet trade organization employs and enslaves powerful races to take over suitable planets so that they can be sold to the highest bidders. If said planet happens to already be inhabited, depending on which branch is in charge of the renovation, the inhabitants will either find themselves conquered, destroyed or manipulated into moving.
Though reviled by the galaxy at large, they provide an inscrutable yet necessary service, particularly since the Necromunger Invasion left many civalizations planetless or displaced. For the right price they find and procure suitable planets for paying clientel as well as added mercenary services. Though many planetary organizations and governments would denie any association with them many covertly seek out the Planet Trade's aid.
The organization works as an Empire-Corporation owned by King Cold and his associates Yando Yapool, Mutalor, Tsuifon, Q-, Anchira Seijin and Mazaron and operated by his two sons, Frieza and Cooler and thousands of possible other Family members. The infamous saleswoman/thing Contessa De Worm was once a member until her habit of wasteful prospecting lead to her dismissal and near termination.
The organization is broken into 4 branches, one main and 3 supportive- which are stationed through out several galaxies. Each branch has different policies and ways of procuring planets. Though the heads of the branches often clash over the specifics of their prospective clients, as long as some form of profit is made or resource is acquired in the process the main branch doesn't care as long as something gets done.
Clan Cold uses the standard loot/pillage and scorched earth tactics to make their sales, while Empire Yapool uses more subtle negotiations, politics and strong-arm tatics to ensure their profits. The House of Deva are legendary for simply talking people out of their home worlds and onto to new ones(which are either barren or depleated hand-me downs or look suspiciously like the world they just left). They are also known for destroying planets that they believe are not suitable for sale or could prove a danger to them in the future.

There are hundreds if not thousands of races enslaved or allied to the group, and are employed in different ways depending on their strength or skills. Many of the more formidable races are forced into the organization with the threat of their own planets' destruction if they do not comply. Groups that are shown to have great fighting abilities, are given many freedoms for showing their worth by conquering and destroying planets. All three leaders are also shown to have their own select armies, workers, and technicians. High ranking members are shown the mercy of being named right-hand men in return for their loyalty. They, like many others, are known to enjoy their work of pillaging and murder with no remorse and perfect efficientcy. Some members are hired specificly for combat creating super elite groups for specific missions or to do their leader's personal dirty work, such as the Ginyu Force, Cooler's Armored Squadron or the brother duo of Abo and Kado. Many of the members of these elite groups are more than capable of going toe-to-toe with Mithran level opponents with relative ease.
Image
The organization uses many different types of technologies. These include Scouters, devices that are used mostly for calculating the individual Power Level of biological creatures, humanoid plant creatures called Saibamen that are used to test an opponent's fighting skills and also act as advanced shock troops, blasters and arm cannons for races that lack or are unable to use energy manipulation. Sphere shaped space craft called Attack Balls are used as the primary means of interplanetary travel and were given to them by the Arcosians, former clients and arms dealers. Many other advanced spaceships are seen in use as well. Warrior class members, such as the Saiyans, Magma, Nackle, Bas-jin, The Litts, Ryn, Alpha, Ubese, Makyans and countless others are always seen wearing different types of light-weight, high impact armor and this armor is used as something of a uniform by the organization.

They treat Galactus like a patron saint, as through his endless hunger they are never want for customers. Abbaddon and the Entropic Masters less so since they have a tendancy to never leave survivors and so no new potential customers.

The Planet trade had long kept out of the Milky Way due to an agreement with the Grigori after a long stalemate between Clan Cold and an early Mithran/CoAP taskforce. The deal was that they wouldn't seek business inside the galaxy as long as the inhabitants didn't make business for them. 3000 years later the deal was broken when a Malvan emperor petitioned them to find a planet to store his vast belongings.
Since then their activity has been more active and only checked by the number of other larger galactic powers in the area which would make a full invasion not cost effective enough to warrant it(at least not yet).

Galactus
source: Do you really gotta ask?
The Devourer of worlds, wielder of the Power Cosmic and essentially the Universe's equivalent to Godzilla. Galactus is a cosmic entity that maintains his existence by devouring planets that have the potential for supporting life, and as such utilizes a Herald to scour the universe in search of suitable worlds. The first and oldest living entity in the universe, Galactus is one of the few beings in existance that actually knows what it was like before the Big Bang-possible even before that.
By the galaxy at large he is treated like a natural disaster,
"a living force of nature; an inevitable, planetary catastrophe that there is no reasoning with, no bargaining with and no escaping."
Very few beings have managed to slow him down let alone stop him once he's set a planet in his sights. The Entropic Masters fear him, the Planet Trade revere him, the Elders of the Universe avoid him, the Celestials ignore him and both the Grigori and the Institute try to stay out of his way.
He wields the Power Cosmic and can employ it to produce nearly any effect he desires, from the molecular restructuring/transmutation of matter, the teleportation of objects(even an entire galaxy) across space or time, the erection of nearly impenetrable force fields, the creation of interdimensional/intra-dimensional portals to even creating sentient life or restoring dead planets and populations to life in every detail.

It is said that Galactus is one of the three essential entities in the universe keeping the cosmic entities the Celestials in check. By destroying planets -actually "eggs"- he prevents the Celestials from overpopulating the universe. Others say his continued survival keeps a greater universal threat in check or balance. Some even say that it's his destiny to consume and eventually one day release all his collected and stored power, causing a new big bang and transforming his herald into the Galactus of the next universe.

Although not an abstract, non-corporeal being, Galactus is a living force of nature set to correct the imbalances between the conceptual entities Eternity and Death, and as such his true form cannot be perceived by most beings; each species perceives Galactus in a form they can associate with or comprehend, either in a form similar to that of their own race or as a deity of their own religion. Galactus has also appeared as a humanoid star when addressing fellow members of the cosmic hierarchy.

Galactus employs advanced science capable of creating the Ultimate Nullifier, an object of tremendous power capable of destroying and remaking the multiverse, and the immense Möbius strip-shaped, solar system-sized ship Taa II. Galactus retains the Punisher cyborgs in his service, and has appointed a number of beings to act as his Herald, with each bestowed a small fraction of the Power Cosmic.
As the Heralds are indirectly responsible for the destruction of many worlds and in turn extinction of many species, Galactus suppresses all feelings of guilt and remorse in those of his Heralds who have a conscience. Despite this, some of Galactus' Heralds - such as the Silver Surfer and Nova(Frankie Raye) - have rebelled and left their master.
His current heralds are the ruthless Red Shift, the ethereal Stardust and the fallen Jedi knight Darth Vader.

Cosmic Teams & other Peace Keepers

Lets take a look at some of the Galaxy's most powerfull protectors.

Galactic Guardsmen
"I Vow to defend all being’s rights,
I pledge to protect civilization’s lights,
Through darkness, shadow and nights,
Against evil I will wield the Guardsman’s might!”
They are the protectors and stewards of the CoAP's collection of worlds and 1st line of defense against the dangers roaming the galaxy. Founded by the Gregori the Galatic Guardsmen defend the some 300,000 planets of the CoAP through the use of powerful amulets and armbands that allow them to both communicate with just about any sentiant life and utilize the very enegy of the stars themselve to repel or attack. The Amulets also allow them to move via warp space to anywhere in the known galaxy.
The Galactic Guardsmen have undergone a membership drive during the Missing Year and Marr-Ann's disapearence. They've managed to gather many noble new recruits though some have been questionable(Malvan),troublesome(E'Croatian) and contraversial(Xenovore) to say the least.

Relations
Most Guardsmen hold the Star knights in great respect and find it a high honor to work with them. Though they share a moderate respect for the Gatesmen, they feel that there efforts would be better spent keeping their eyes inward towards the people they protect instead of outward for the enemies that may or may not come. They dislike ORBIT's justice for profit approach to peacekeeping but even they have been forced to admit that they're doing a good job. CELESTIAL's actions vary from questionable to brilliant depending on the Guardsmen asked, the same goes of the former Gauntlet Corps just substitute the organization as a whole with individual members.
Due to location and distance the Guardsmen have very little interaction with the Spaceknights, Silverhawks or Celestial Legion.
Opinions on the Alpha Guardsmen varry from approval to reluctance to distrust all depending on who is asked.
They have a shaking relationship with the Alpha Guardsmen at best and find it more troubling that the Gregori have pretty much ordered them not to interfere in Alpha Guardsmen affairs. The Guardsmen have varying opinons on the matter as some see it as much needed help while others can't shake the feeling that they're being replaced.

Alpha Guardsmen
"None shall escape the Alpha Guardsmen's Judgement!"
A top secret project even among the ranks of the Grigori's The Brotherhood of Creators, the Stage 3 Alpha Watchmen are the next step in the evolution of galactic law enforcement. They combine the efficentacy and drive of the Autochrons, the teamwork and organizational skills of the Klorags and the improvasional and problem solving skills of the Guardsmen into the perfect peacekeeping force.
They are not bound by the passions of the heart or the ambitions that plague normal guardsmen and through the guidance of the Fraal no longer querry to the out-dated system that stems the Galactic Guardsmen from going to action.
Powered by the light of Starvos the Immortal the Alpha's can negate or commandere the abilities of any regular guardsmen effectively shutting them down.
They are the defenders of the often neglected CoAP Outer rims and one of the major offenses in the up-coming Ashuran-Thundarian War.

The Legios or Stage 4 guardsmen- the 5 most powerful Alphas culled from 5 different planets and the first to undergoe the original conversion process so many centuries ago. They've been experimented and upgraded so many times that even if they could be reverted back to normal they're bodies or minds wouldn't be able to survive the process.
They have triple the power of a single Alpha, a secondary core that powers a backpack like armament called the "Law bringer" and the psionic capacity to pop the strongest Lor Mentat or Saeduun Paladin like an over-ripe grape.

Ted Smith- An american mechanic kidnapped during the 1920's on route to his home in Kentucky. A direct descendant of Alexander the Great and 19th great-grand cousin to Doc Aeon.

Worsel,- a dragon-like being from the planet Velanti and descended from a legendary philosopher known as Codmel.

Tregonsee- an enigmatic alien from the system of the blue-white star Rigel, dabbled in early quantum theory to lack-luster accalim.

Nadreck from the planet Palainian- strangest of the three a court reporter for a dusty old town.

Virgilia Samms, the Red Lens- a humanoid from the planet Uegos, a combat specialist that was kidnapped during her eldest sister's wedding day.

Relations
The Gregori would very much like to know how a project that was never approved for operation in the first place could see such wide spread activity. Needless to say the Brotherhood are sweating bullets; not only are they in danger of being found out but when last they checked they had mothballed the entire project decades ago and only had 5 surviving experiments to begin with. How the hell did so many get created and who made them.

The Alpha's have little interaction with other peacekeepers outside of CoAP territory.

Star Knights
For justice, honor, truth, and right,
evil beware — the true Star Knight!
The shining knights of the galaxy, the Star Knights roam the galaxy looking for trouble and righting wrongs. Under the guidance of the living computer Mentor, the Star knights are equipped with highly advanced armor and energy weapons that are powered by a piece of ancient Preserver technology called a Starstone. Unlike the Guardsmen who are given a planet or a single system to defend, each knight is given a large sector of space and charged with it's protection and upkeep.
They are one of the most respected peacekeeping groups as well as the most wide spread and are usually allowed a wide reign by most of the bigger powers in the galaxy. Though many have claimed that this has left them spread a little too thin making them less effective for a major crisis should it rear it's head.

Relations
They have a peacefull association with the Galactic Guardsmen as many of their rank also come from planets within the CoAP and are welcome within most areas of their space. They are aware of the Gatesmen and the Celestial Legion but have rarely interacted with them. They tollerate Orbit, are uneasy of Celestial and pity the defunct Gaunlet Corps. They've never worked with the Silverhawks but have a friendly history with the Spaceknights, though they find them stubburn in their refusal to hand over Blackstarr.
Only three of their number have seen an Alpha Guardsmen in action and that image has left them very worried.

Gatesman
"You are in violation of this planet's local laws and statutes.
Please prepare to be detained until the time when the local law enforcement officials can read you your rights and proper warnings."
Protectors of the planets and systems that make up the Myriad. The Gatesman's uniforms allow for protection from the elements, space travel through slipstream network, energy manipulation and heightened ability. But what they are most famous for is the gate relay that allows them to open portals into a number of different dimensions from the infamous Hellworld, the natural galactic storms of Delta space, the white filled void of Containment or the star travelling Drive to Centrus an access point connected to their headquarters in the heart of Myriad space.
At any given time there are exactly 999 active within Myriad space or patroling the Nexus (the myriad's name for the region of space which Earth is located within) for signs of interstellar threat. All Gatesmen are expected to follow the laws and regulations of the local planetary authorithy as well as Myriad policy when able.

Relations
The Gatesmen have very little knowledge of the Star Knights and rarely work with them unless they're in Nexus space. They have a moderate respect for the Guardsmen though they feel the Guard could strive to do more and not just sit around and babysit their homeworlds. There interactions with other stellar peace keeping forces have been limited to only galactic level crisis like the Starbane incursion on Gyrr-y'rr.
Gatesman 439 was the current agent in charge of Earth's system and was chosen for his integrity and the fact that out of all the races that make up the Myriad he's the only one that even remotely appear's even close to human.
Though he get's along fine with most of the other heroes and peacekeeping agencies, he's pretty much a stick in the mud and stickler for protocal that make's him hard to work with on a regular basis.
AEGIS and the FBI really wish he would turn over any apprehended fellons to their handlers instead of teleporting them straight to the Supreme Court just because it happens to be the highest court in the land.
Gatesman 182 and 247 have also been stationed in earth's system due to the Deathmask Incident.

Great comparisons.

I'll have more comments but this is just a great write-up period.

I love how the GG have a bit of a bad reputation but they're the biggest game in town.

Silverhawks
"Wings of Silver, Nerves of Steel."
The guardians of the galaxy of Limbo, the Silverhawks are a group of interplanetary policeman that have been modified for the harsh and often chaotic enviroments of Limbo. Their bionic bodies are covered by a full-body close-fitting metal armor that only exposes the face and an arm, the armor is equipped with a retractile protective mask, retractile wings under-arm, thruster on elbows, and laser-weapons over the body.
Launching from their satellite base Hawk Haven, the SilverHawks fly in to action against the seemingly never ending war against the far-spanning criminal forces of the Monstar Mob and other interstellar criminal organizations.

Relations
Have teamed up with the Spaceknights on a few occasions and are familiar with the Star Knights and the Star Sherifs.

Image
Spaceknights
The original Spaceknights were an elite group of cyborg humanoids from the planet Galador, created to battle the Dire Wraiths. Rom was the most well-known member to appear off-planet adventuring all over the galaxies fighting fear and injustice and combating the mechanations of the ever-ellusive Dire Wraiths.
The current Spaceknights are a mixture of the still surviving original members, their descendants and eager new recruits that patrol the Golden galaxy protecting it from whatever would dare break the peace. Instead of the traditional mind to machine body transference common among the 1st and 2nd Generation Spaceknights the current generation makes use of an advanced exo-armor with neuro-refexes that runs on bio-energy. They're faster and more manueverable than the G1's but lack their sheer power stats.

Relations
They've worked with the Silver Hawks on the few occasions that have required them to enter the Limbo Galaxy or the Klynn and have a friendly relationship with the Star knight's dating back to King Rom's earlier adventures in the Milky Way.

Void Patrol
“We are the Void Patrol. We don’t recite any pretty vows.
We’ve got just one simple creed: We will never abandon a
world to die.”
The Void Patrol was founded after Highly decorated veteran Galactic Guardsmen Rantal Dor quite the Guard in disgust after the Grigori refused to order a defense of his homeworld Hetua IV when it was invaded by the inscetoid hordes of the Swarm. After he was offered a Cosmic Sword by the Djinn to become one of the chaotic Void knights, he used his knack for engineering to develop a process that would allow him to use the sword without being corrupted by it's power. Then using his new found powers sought out others tricked by the Djinn and freed them, many allied themselves with him to become part of his new police force.
The Void Patrol exists to undermine the powers and original purpose of the Djinn's Cosmic Swords and to outclass and eventually replace the Galactic Guardsmen seeing them ineffective in their duties of safeguarding the inhabitants of the galaxy.

Relations
They don't believe in ORBIT's monetary based philosophy but never turn down an offer for their help nor their resources. They highly respect the Star Knights and go out of their way to help them in anyway they can. They see the gatesmen and Celestial as curious but with their hearts and actions in the right place.
Up til the Necromunger/Ori Invasion they and the Guardsmen were at eachother throats and had specific orders to kill the other on site. Now they have a temporary peace, how long that lasts is up to chance though they have started to follow ORBIT and Celestial's example in preparing for the day when the Alpha or regular Guardsmen become a threat to the galaxy.

O.R.B.I.T.
Operative Response Boundaries Intervention Taskforce
"We may do it for pay, but at least we won't ignore a cry for help or Justice like other associations."
ORBIT is a peacekeeping organization that provides security and protection for profit to many planets in the Alpha quadrant. They aren't liked by alot of people but even they garner some form of respect.
Founded and lead by the Yoddian/Onn/Ultramind hybrid Yril Dx, ORBIT has contracts with over 135 different worlds and actively patrols them for any signs of threat or disturbence with a massive fleet of advanced AI controled guard-bioroids. For any cases that require a "hands on approach" it enlists the aid of many local and traveling space heroes as well as some more questionable rogues to safeguard it's clients.
Yril learned long ago that it's a good idea to keep a core group to handle any immediate threats as well as a few back up groups to handle the heavy hitting or messy work just in case the core group is indisposed. It's also practical considering how often his organization has been undermined(His former computer replaced him and drafted it's own team) or turned against him(Starro invasion).

Relations
Being based in the Alpha quadrant it has worked with or against just about every known organization. They work better with the Void patrol and tollerate the Star knights. They have a bit of a rivalry with the Galatic guardsmen as many guardsmen patrolled worlds have hired them for added protection due to fear of another Ori/Necromunger invasion.
They've been currently upgrading their tech in the event that something bad happens regarding the Alpha guardsmen.

Image
CELESTIAL
"To bring an end to all armed conflicts and prevent anything on the scale of another Annihilation event from ever happening again"
A private paramilitary organization dedicated to the elimanation of war and protecting the galaxy from further galactic threats. They were created from a collabaration between ORBIT leader/founder Yril Dx and Peter Quill(The Star-lord) after the latter's failed attempt to stop the Voth/Saeduun war's catastrophic climax.
The group has been personally selected from the best and brightest the galaxy has had to offer and even cherry picked from some of the best organizations. Thanks to Peter's leadership and training and Yril's resources and technology as well as some added assistance from interested parties, CELESTIAL has been crafted into an effective and well-honed machine.
The team operates from the mobile hq/assualt ship Blue Dream, one of the only ships capable of using Quantum-slipstream and there by the fastest ship in the quadrant. They are more pro-active than most organizations actively searching for trouble and taking it out before it can become a bigger threat. So far their most notable success was ending T'yak/E'Crotian war(though many have critized the tactics used in the operation) and they managed to gain a large amount of notoriety in helping to prevent the Pharon from invading open space. However they've also gained the aire of the Lor Republic for destroying a research facility on Aquas and leveling weapons manufacturer on Caprica.

Relations
Most groups aren't sure how to place them; on the one hand they do alot of good trying to put out fires before they start but on the other hand they show no respect for boundaries and jurisdiction, not to mention they actively use weapons and technology designed specificly to shut down other groups. The Grigori have an active warrant for their arrest so they can question them on how they got their hands on a Quantum slipstream engine.

ImageImage
The Star Sherifs
Guard the regions of the Outer Rim called Wild Space or the frontier. They are relatively smaller than most other groups and are usually the first to deal with extra-galactic threats. Lead by the chivalrous Saber Rider the star sherifs are one of the last line of defense for the un-aligned planets, colonies and settlements that make out the Outer rim.
These brave men and women make use of their personal skills and training to combat the pirates, outlaws, and would-be conquerors that roam the otherwise law-less regions of wildspace. When skill isn't enough the sherifs dawn strength and speed enchancing power-suits and combat/rescue vehicles to fill the gap.

Gauntlet Corps
A now defunct peacekeeping force founded by the the Mihral Dominion that operated within the Beta Quadrant and in the more active traffic lines of the Alpha Quadrant. Using advanced technology in the form of gauntlets they could fly at faster than light speeds, manipulate energy and generate nearly inpentrable forcefields.
The corps were the 2nd most respected after the Galactic Guardsmen and the Star Knights in turn, until Earth's resident member uncovered the organizations hidden agenda. That the corps was just a clever ruse to get an agent in every sector of the galaxy so they could gather intelegence spread the Mihral's influence to all corners of the galaxy. This starling turn of events lead to the corps cracking down the middle with those who believed in the corps feeling betrayed and disillusioned and those who were loyal to the Mihral taking their side and joining their forces.
Many of the members have either thrown in their cards with the local star forces or have become hired mercenaries. A scant few still patrol the starways keeping the peace and trying to keep their memory of what the corps ment to them alive.

Impressive collection of do-gooders and heroes.

I liked the Vril Dox character too.

Is there an equivalent to the Galaxy Rangers or is it too early in the timeline for them?

Honestly, other than the opening intro I've never actually watched the series(course that's never stopped me before 8) ), though I could include them with the rest of the teams I'm includung in Prt 3 or save them for a Heroes of the Future entry. It's a big galaxy to play with so I may lean to the former.

Cosmic teams part 3
The heroes that protect the fringes of the galaxy and that beyond yet.

Ultimon
Ymir:Sheesh! I mean I've fought my share of giant monsters but don't you Ultra-guys fight anything small?
Valgas:Obviously you've never been to this part of the universe before. This is one of the small ones.
Ultimon Alpha:Indeed. This is meerly a Krom hatchling, the adolescent and adult ones are quite larger and even more furoscious.
Ultimon Kelta: (forms an energy blade)And if we don't find a way to force it back through the rip it made in the dimensional fabric it's parents are going to come looking for it. And trust me you do "not" want something like that making a nest in your galaxy.
The Universe's top monster killers and galactic protectors. Hailing from the Nebula of Light the Ultra Garrison protects the innocents of the universe from the darkest of evils.
One of the reasons they don't appear as often is mainly because 1) they're spread thin defending the universe, 2) they don't involve themselves in galactic politics short of a major crisis and 3) half the things they fight make threats like the Swarm, the Drul and the Sun Stealers look like baby kittens by comparrison, they're usually also the size of small moons.
Earth is what they consider a Minus Energy Nexus or in lamen's terms a weirdness magnet- a planet that attracts or generates unusual phenomena. Since such planets also sometimes lay along universal laylines the Ultra Garrison trys to keep an eye on and even check up on them when they can.
The Order of the Ultimon is a group dating back to the Meji-era, when the planet Shorka exploded some of it's monsters made it to Earth. Eventually an agent from the Ultra Garisson was able deal with them, but just incase they or something like it returned he gave some of his energy to a select few humans and trained them in it's use. Those humans would go on to become Ultimon(Ulti-mate Mon-ster killers) those who would fight off the many secret invasions and giant monsters that would plague Japan and the rest of Asia to the present day.

The only real difference between the 2 is that the Ultimon are mainly human and tiny compared to the Garisson's giant warriors who are capable of controling their size and shape. Also Ultimon are only local to their home planets or sectors while the Garisson is spread out among the stars.

Nova corps
The Nova corps were a legion of heroes and warriors dedicated to the defense and protection of planets in the care of the planet Xandar. Until it was blown up , not once both twice. Leaving the collected energy and knowledge of it's civilization nowhere to go but into the head of it's newest and youngest(and most importantly the sole surviving) recruit Richard Rider or as he's known to everyone one else Nova the Human-rocket(Earth) or Nova Centurion Prime(the rest of the galaxy).
At their peek the Nova corps had a centurion patroling at least every major system strecthing over 5 different galaxies. Currently the corps is a scattered sampling of maybe 20 active members including Nova, Void Navy Commander Ko-Rel, Qubit, Piika, Fraktur, Irani Rael, Morrow and recently returned Air-Walker.

All Nova Corps Centurions derive thier powers from the Nova Force which in turn is monitored by the Xandarian World-mind located in Rider's body which are small in measure compared to the massive amount stored within him. All Centurions gain enhanced strength, flight, injury resistance, and a specialized uniform with life support capabilities as well as energy projection and absorption and the ability to execute powerful gravimetric pulses to open intergalactic stargates.
Since the creation of the Malestrom by the Saeduun/Voth War they have currently moved their base of operations the mobile planet Nu Xandar into a stationary orbit near the anomily's opening.

Image Image
The Lightning League
A group of travelars dedicated to to finding the lost scientist Audric and finding away to stop the ever expanding threats of the malicious biological plant-based machines called the Monster Minds.
Lead by Audric's son Jayce and supported by his friends and (under)paid mercenaries, the Lightning League seeks to find the other half of a magic root that was united well finally end the Monster Mind's reign of terror once and for all. Unfortunately the other half of the root is on his father's person and said father has been keeping one step ahead of both friend and enemy alike ensuring that the root never falls into the Monster Minds leader Saw Boss's vile grip.
Currently their exploits have been kept outside of the Milky way galaxy, save for the occasional rumor and legend, but the time for when they may appear might be sooner than anyone thinks. The Giant vines that the Monster minds headquarters travels on and which spread their influence(quite literally) have been spotted right at the very borders that bridge Wild Space and the outer colonies of the Lor Republic.

Image
The Guardians of Hope
Lead by the former Guardians of Ao Ganthet and Synd of the nearly extinct race of immortals called Maltusians, the Guardians of Hope channel the power of the emotional spectrum to inspire and generate hope.
The newest and the smallest of the known groups the Guardians are only numbered at 4 members due to the interview process for new members taking almost 3 months to complete and then requiring the new member to go out and screen a potential new recruit who in turn will seek out his own recruit.
All Guardians are armed with a blue power bracelet, fueled by the emotion hope. While hope is the most powerful of the seven emotions, Blue Lanterns must be near an individual with strong willpower to tap into their own bracelets' full power. Otherwise, their are only capable of the default abilities of flight and a protective aura. This is a result of the fact that the power of hope is nothing without the willpower to enact it. Blue rings must be fueled by true hope in order to operate at their user's command.

Image
The Ion Guard
Some of the remnents of the Gauntlet Corps that decided to stick to their oath to protect and police the galaxy.
Using some ancient technoloy taken from the living crystal singularity Noi and combining it with the tech designed into their suits, the Ion guard has managed to double their gauntlets energy output as well as give them the added ability to channel gravitational energy into an impact weapon. Now calling themselves the Intergalactic Ordinance Network(ION) Guard they use their new power to continue where they left off and battle the forces that would extort or control the galaxy.

Image
Celestial Legionaire
The scathered upholders of an ancient and nearly extinct race and protectors of the galaxy at large. The Gaothotem in repentance for the death and destruction that they inadvertedly caused after they betrayed their allies and neighbors the Titonathor durring an intergalactic war between them and Zettex, gathered and converted their entire population into pure energy and thought and expelled it into the universe. Seeking to find those filled with goodwill and intent the Gaothotem empower beings with great power and try to steer them into the defense of the universe.

A celestial Legionaire is a symbiosis of Gaothotem essence and host, a recipient gains flight, cosmic power and eons of knowledge and wisdom in return for allowing the Gao-thotem to inhabit their body and thus giving it a way to manipulate physical objesct and an outlet to attone for it's species collective guilt. Unfortunately the process is one way and once a creature becomes a host there is no way for the Gaothotem to exit the body short of death of the host body. Also since the process is completely voluntary should the host decline the offer the Gaothotem is essentially trapped in the host for the remainder of it's lifetime.
When they know death is upon them, Legionnaires seek a (hopefully) worthy host to be near for when the moment comes since it'll be flying blind without Gao Tho’s telepathic selection scan to verify if the nearby host is of a virtuous nature. But this has occasionally resulted in unworthy (or even villainous) beings undergoing the secondary transmergence and then abusing their power, usually driving the Gaothoem essence insane in the process.
There are currently only 3 and 1/2 active members in the Milkyway. The curious case of earthling Brian Saunders who's managed to become the galaxy's 1st Celestial Legionaire even though the original host RoKeea managed to survive the transmergence, the review/instructor Droog and the villianous Marauder who seeks to slay them all and take their Gaothotem essences for his own.

The Galaxy Rangers
The Galaxy rangers were an interplanetary police force created in 2089 after a pair of alien ambassoders came to Earth seeking allies and aid against the infringing forces of the Crown Empire. Giving them advanced hyperdrive and bionics technology Earth's BETA(Beauru of Extra Terrestrial Affairs) created the Series 5 implants- bio-energy adapters that could enhance anything from human strength to man-cybernetic interface.
Durring a mission to stop a rogue supertrooper from stealing a rare ore deposit the main team of the group were hurled into the past. While adventuring and trying not to disrupt the timestream they in-advertedly inspired a gathering of colonists and settelers who would go on to start their own group of defenders in honor of the heroes that saved them.
While the originals would eventually find their way home to their own time, their successors have taken up their example and now patrol and protect the un-lawful regions of the galaxy. lead by the ex-Gauntlet Corps member Fisher and joined by the crazy scientist Mavo, shape-shifting Astrea, Sagar's champion and weilder of the legendary Powerstar, Corporal. John Blackstar, the former Galactic Guardians- stout Tuskador and sharp-witted space pilot Icarius and the newly recruited Space Ghost from the Ghost planet and Sherif BraveStarr and Deputy Thirty Thirty from the crime-sieged colony of New Texa.

Rom & The Wanderers
A group of intergalactic travelars and adventure seekers.
Lead by a Spaceknight that may or maynot be the legendary and missing King Rom, they roam from one side of the galaxy to the other helping people, meeting new things and of course getting into their share of trouble.
The group is made up of Rom(?), space surfer Rahj Repties and his neice Remi masters of wind weaponary, Toka-ju a tiger-like alien that carries the soul of it's former owner in a cybernetic clay helmet around it's neck, and Pejge an alien sage that communes with nature with the help of it's pet Mii.

Based off an image I saw in an old Champions 2d ed. world resource book.
Starventures
A group of warriors, rogues and revolutionaries who search the cosmos for a way to free their homesystem from the tyranny of both the Malvan Empire and the Skorn Imperium.
Lead by Commander Augile a winged Augarian from Malva II and an assortment of freedom fighters from all over the Citadel system, the Starventures try to keep the peace in the otherwise law-less regions of space between Dominion controled space and the vast but usually neglected outer territories of the Malvan Empire. They are one of the sole forces stopping the Skorn and other warlords from bulling and conquering the weaker planets and systems of the Gamma Quadrant.

Image
The Purple Rhinocerous Express
The PRE was put together by an alternate version of Ben Tennyson (now calling himself Alien 10), after he was stranded in this universe while chasing a mysterios armed agent who had managed to defeat the rest of his team and had used it's own Ultimatrix to steal his normal human mode before escaping using an alien device called a Ghost Box. Now traped in an alien only mode without access to his normal human form or his other teammates he was forced to seek help from this universe's younger version of himself and his family. While giving him support in his hour of need he was dishearted to see that many of the things he relied on on his home universe either haven't happened yet or don't exist, such as there's no interstellar branch of the Plummers just an Earth based one and comrades like Kevin 11 unfortunately never sided with the goodguys.
Deciding that the only way he was going to find his thief was to search the galaxy for him he burrowed a ship and headed for the stars tracking the other Ultimatrix's faint signal. Along the way he wound up picking up taggerson and allies as his exploits grew.
So far it's been 2 years and even though he's stopped several conflicts and defeated many petty warlords within Nexus space and the Beta Quadrant, even returning to help his younger self stop an invasion by a race he's never heard of, he's no closer to finding his quarry aside from one sparse meeting where he'd managed to escape. And even farther from figuring out who's pulling his strings.

Awesome write-up as usual, ultra8.

* The Nova Corps are, as always, pretty dang sweet.

* I love the Lightning League. I still have the Wheeled Warriors Instrumental on my page.

* Rom Space Knight was a great series, it's a pity Marvel can't bring him back due to copyright.

* Purple Rhinosaurus Express is just awesome as an inclusion.

* I'd totally join the Blue Lantern Corps if I was in the DCU.

* Plus, ULTRAMAN!

Mojoverse
A dimension where all beings are addicted to the gladiator-like television programs produced by MojoTV run by its namesake and ruler, Mojo.
It's not really known whether Mojoverse is an alternate reality or a different dimension. It is said that the Mojoverse and it's inhabitants are unique to the Multiverse, so there's supposedly no alternate versions of Mojo or his subordinates.

The 2 most important rules you need to remember about the Mojoverse.
Rule number 1there is only one Mojoverse(Thankyou mercifull God) and Rule number 2 that doesn't necessarily mean there is only one Mojo.
In fact the pot-bellied gieger-isk tyrant has actually been replaced or dethroned so many times that only his 2nds incommand Major Domo and Spiral are the only ones that know for sure how many times it's happened, and they pretty much stopped carring after the 3rd or 4th occurence. Really as long as it doesn't affect their paychecks or their very existences they seldom lift a finger to bring his rightfull lardness back to his executive authority.
So far there's been Mojo the Sequel, followed by Mojo the Trilogy and the not as popular Mojo Trinityand Mojo Clear. Durring the TV wars with MUV it was the robotic imposter Mojo the Next and the very badly constructed and Totally obvious imposter Mecha mojo during Flognel Network's sweeps weeks which involved the real mccoy living the life of a fat investment banker from Blancville,Tennesse. Next came Mojo the Sequel: Revisted, Mojo Lite, Miami Vice Mojo(long story), Longshot's rebellion, Mojo Part Deut, Longshot's rebellion part 2, The X-babies rebellion, Spiral's rebellion, Dark Mojo, Mojo Raising, Ted Turner's takeover(even longer story), Ronald McDonald(don't ask), Don Knott's takeover(now availble on iTunes), A mystical tv using wizard version(that's a story for another author), the time Mic Jager got drunk and woke up the ruler of the Mojoverse and the high profile contract dispute that followed. Now the current ruler was the insidious being Mr. Veech with his plan to rid Mojoworld of all it's mindless entertainment and replace it with more educational (yet still evil) entertainment. But that was before the X-babies and an assorted cast of other tv-stars defeated him and blasted him into a blackhole between old infomercials and television sign offs.

Currently the X-Babies are the current rulers though they spend more time adventuring in their home show than running the place. Major Domo pops up every now and then to make sure the machineary is still working and Spiral other than sending them on there trips doesn't care who's running things.

 It's been awhile but I'm finally back in the groove(more or less), unfortunately I've got a back catalogue of ideas and some stuff that needs some fine tuning. Oh well moving, work and school will do that.
