Just got the Champions supplement covering the master villains. Lots of good stuff, and I even love the new look on Mechanon. Anyways gonna cover that now.

Champions Villains 2

Augury: Connie Smith was a housewife stuck in an abusive relationship when her time manipulating powers were awoken by a possible future self. Determined to use her powers for good, she became the heroine Augury, and a member of the hero group the Northern Guard. After she received visions of the teams existence leading to the destruction of Canada, the team disbanded and Connie had a nervous breakdown. She eventually received visions of a superhuman who needed her help, so she teamed up with the arch Criminal Borealis (Described in the Canada entry from the first thread.) While she does serve Borealis, the true target she seeks to aid is...

The Landsman: A creation of Teleios the Perfect Man. The Landsman is an eight foot tall genetically engineered man who Teleios abandoned in the wilderness to see if a blank slate could develop and grow on its own in the wilderness. The Landsman became a conduit for the land, the mystic heart of Canada, who imbued him with a mind and will of his own, as well as geokinetic powers. Borealis tracked down the super man and recruited him. In combat Landsman summons Earth to surround him, turning him into a massive stone giant powerful enough to Fight Novendecim to a standstill, Landsman ranks as one of the most powerful beings on Earth.

The Destroyers: The Super powered minions of Doctor Destroyer, the Destroyers were first formed by Doctor Destroyer to fight his greatest enemies, the Atom Family. They have since battled other hero groups.

In addition to Gigaton and Rakshasa, the team includes many members, including:

-The Bronze Brigand: A Foe to Rustbelt, The Bronze Brigand is a metal skinned brawler who can warp metal.

-Fourplay: A woman who can assume the form of four different elementals.

-Hammerhead: A super strong aquatic villain cloned by Destroyer from the DNA of a Mexican supervillain named Breakwater.

-Thoughtcrime: Another member of the infamous Medina family with potent psychic powers.

-Falchion: Thomas Falkirk was ignored all his life: By his family, by his employers, all because he was a low level meta who generates a psi field that prevented people from noticing him. Recruited by Thoughtcrime, Falchion was trained as a killer and learned to harness his powers all while Thoughtcrime molded him into a remorseless killer. Falchion is a master swordsman in addition to his powers.

-Meteor: Ricky Murdock was a punk kid from Florida when he was struck in the chest by an Omlevex meteor. Unable to be removed, the meteor shard became fused into his chest, granting Ricky Enhanced strength, durability, and super speed.

-Spectra: Diana Tremain was a scientist working in the field of Zero Point energy, hoping to harness it as a power source. Syndrome, not about to let someone else master "His" secrets, sabotaged the project, causing it to explode and, predictably, mutate Diana, giving her the power to transform into a being of energy and warping her mind. Imprisoned in an AEGIS hospital, she was busted out by Doctor Destroyer and became one of his lieutenants.

-Tarantula: Rick Rivenbark is the twin brother of Allison Rivenbark, AKA Arsenic, one of Miami's few active super heroes. Always a petty crook to his sisters good ways, when Rick developed metaman powers he became a super villain. Rick can alter his, and other peoples, orientation of Gravity. He can use it on himself to walk up sheer surfaces or on the ceiling, or on others to dizzy or trip them up. One day he made the mistake of robbing a company that was a front for Doctor Destroyer, and was given a choice: Serve or die. He's been serving destroyer ever since.

Kigatilik: An ancient God of cold and the darker, more unforgiving aspects of the frozen North. Kigatilik exists to bring slow freezing death to all. A foe to all those who would provide warmth and aid, the so called "Slayer of Shamans" Is in particular a foe to super heroes, and is a menace to all the super heroes of Canada.

Kinematik: One of the new heads of the Metahuman supremacy movement following the fall of the red King, Kinematik actually hails from the same parallel Earth as Dauntless and Relentless. Determined to see the advancement of metakind at the expense of so called "Normies", Kinematik has already attracted numerous supervillains to his side, including the villains Blindside and Overdrive. Kinematik has the power to manipulate momentium and Inertia, and has fine enough control he can use it in a variety of ways. Needless to say, He's number one on Amon's hit list, and vise versa.

Fossil: The son of Mexican Migrant workers, Raimundo Alvarez was recruited by a traveling preacher when he noticed his ability to heal. In truth, Raimundo was a Ossokinetic, someone with the power to manipulate bone with his mind. One night a plant from the Church of Seven Thunders condemned Raimundo as a metaman and nearly had him lynched till Kinematik stepped in and saved him. As a result, Raimundo, now Fossil, is Kinematik's most loyal ally. In addition to healing, Fossil can animate skeletons, cause crippiling injuries, and grow armor and claws from his own bones.

Mechana: the so called "Bride of Mechanon", Mechana was an unsuccessful attempt by Mechanon to build a new Centurian Machine loyal to him. Generally a weaker version of the mad machine, "she" is still a loyal lieutenant and often leads his mechanized minions.

Subedar: Another creation of Mechanon. Subedar was designed after observing a battle between Xiao and one of his killer robots piqued Mechanon's interest in regards to bladed weaponry, creating the ultimate knife fighting robot.

Victrian Walker: Originally meant to be a new model for Mechanon's form, it was quickly scrapped since it lacked manipulators and was very top heavy. Mechanon built one as a minion and never bothered making anymore. The Victrian Walker is basically a mobile weapons platform, armed to the teeth with weaponry. It can basically obliterate anything Mechanon or one of his lieutenants aims it at.

Doctor Phillipe Moreau: The grandson of the original Moreau, Phillipe, like his cousin Etienne, took up their grandfathers diabolical experiments. His first successful experiment (funded by PHANTOM) ended up creating the hero Dr. Silverback. Later creations would be more loyal. Phillipe eventually turned to using his Beast Men to commit crimes to fund his research, becoming one of Europes most infamous masterminds. He also does work for PHANTOM to create super soldiers and monsters.

Professor Paradigm: Phileas Burcato was a genius Mathemetician who is convinced that there is something "Wrong" with reality. What he is unsure, so he was determined to find out. Half a decade later and after acquiring some reality altering power armor (powered by fragments of the now destroyed cosmic cube, hey, Talos had to do SOMETHING with it), and a gang of like minded minions, Paradigm is now determined to "fix" whatever is wrong with reality, and possibly kill us all doing it. Among his "Paradigm Pirates" include villains Tesseract and the Avant Guard.

Displacer: Billy Harding is a metaman with the ability to merge our dimension with part of other dimensions, creating overlaying topical effects (for example, he can alter weather, terrain, or even fill rooms with noxious gas or deadly lava). Sheltered by his fearful family most of his life, he was discovered and recruited by Paradigm, and became one of his most loyal followers.

The Shadow Destroyer: the Shadow Destroyer is the James Harmon IV of Multifarian Earth, the Parallel Earth where Past, present and future exist as one which was created when River Song initially refused to kill the Doctor at lake Silencio. In this insane and fractured "Timeline" (if it can even be called that), Harmon was a dark mystic who was rescued from his doomed universe by the Shadow beyond time itself, given a mystical equivalent of Doctor Destroyers armor, he briefly impersonated the master villain on Earth for a time, until the Real Destroyer returned and, with help from the Champions, ousted the imposter. Shadow Destroyer and his allies are still at large.

Corundum:Shadow Destroyers chief bodyguard, Corundum is a powerful stone golem made in the shape of a beautiful woman.

Oubliette: Another golem created by Destroyer, Oubliette is a being of living shadow made to be the ultimate assassin.

Karkaradon: The Lemurians of the Multifarian Earth, the Karkaradon are a race of Shark Men who served Shadow Destroyer. When the Multifarian earth was undone, Shadow Destroyer managed to save a handful of them to continue serving as his minions. They are currently mingling with the deep ones, and menacing the Atlanteans as they rebuild their society under the seas.

Shadow Colossus: Shadow Destroyer's most powerful creation, the Shadow Colossus is a 15 foot tall golem made of crystal and charged with Qliphotic energies, which is can release as a devastating blast.

Skarn the Shaper: A powerful and insane dark lord, Skarn was once three seperate wizards who ruled over their home realm equally. When two factions of the triumverate began to war among themselves. the third cast a spell binding them together into a single being of massive power and insanity. Thus Skarn was born. Skarn merges any realm he conquers into the Congeries, and constantly warps and shifts the realm according to his bizarre aesthetics and idea of perfection. Skarn actually means well, but is utterly insane and unpredictable. He is also oddly honorable and loves sport, and spared Earth 409 After Divinos beat him in Arm wrestling. Time will tell if he leaves Earth in peace though.

Arthon: Skarn's eldest son, Arthon is a master sorcerer, but lacks his father's tremendous strength. He is an arrogant tyrant and is always scheming to increase his power.

Torvost: Skarn's second son has his physical strength but not is magic, The Congeries greatest warrior and party animal, he is actually an old friend to both Ymir and Dimensional Pirate Fandango.

Brell: Skarn's youngest and weakest child, Brell is a master shapeshifter. She knows she can't compete with her siblings, so she spends her times out among the people of the Congeries, trying to help them cope with whatever madness her father has unleashed that day. As a result, she is much beloved by the people of the Congeries. She is a former lover of Fandango from his pirate days.

Slun: the so called "Most evil Man in Russia", Yaromir Blokhin was studying for Ministry in St. Petersburg when his psychic powers emerged, warping his mind. Patterning himself after an Archbiship, Slun has used his powers to blackmail, mind control, and intimidate himself to the top of the Russian Underworld. He has attempted to enslave Troll several times to be his servant, but has yet to be successful.

Franklin Stone: The CEO of ACI ( Advanced Concept Industries) Franklin Stone was always a ruthless corporate raider, which led him to get into bed with SHADOW as a silent partner and acting as their silent partner. Stone was old friends with Kenneth Kane and is also a member of PHANTOMS highest society.

Doctor Yin Wu: One of the Iron Khan's court sorcerors, Yin Wu summoned the army of mythical creatures which aided in conquering the region of China that would one day become the Khanate, and created the Pill of Immortality which made him immortal. Today Yin Wu is a high ranking member of the Black Hand, along with his four sons.

The Four sons of the Dragon: Yin Wu's Sons believe they are the children of Yin Wu and a being from the Imageria. In truth they are four Homunculi created with the aide of Doctor Azoth (who was a student of Yin Wu and an old friend of). They are all loyal to Yin Wu, and a deadly fighting unit.

-Copper Spear: The eldest and most noble of the four sons, Copper Spear wields an enchanted Spear with deadly ability.

-Golden Axe: The Big guy of the team, Golden Axe is a brawler with two magic axes and a pet tiger. He is often looked down upon by the others for his perceived stupidity (He's not really dumb, he just likes fighting), and his sentimentality towards his siblings and his pet.

-Iron Whirlwind: A cold arrogant psychopath. Iron Whirlwind delights in questioning his brothers orders and tried to undermine him whenever he can get away with it. He wields a pair of enchanted swords.

-Silver Hand: The most evil of the brothers, Yin Wu tried to make him stronger than the other brothers, but ended up leaving him with only one working hand as a result. To compensate, Yin Wu made him a new hand made of silver, mystically enchanted to drain his victims life force with a touch.

regarding Shadow Destroyer, I feel it worth mentioning that his defeat and impersonation of Dr. Destroyer is the main subplot of champions online, as more and more NPC's and bits of lore draw attention to the deception and his mad goal to take his place amongst the Kings of Edom, before culminating in the Resistance adventure pack, where you take a direct hand in his downfall.

its my headcanon (now modified by the above info) that after his defeat by the heroes and Dr. Destroyer and being dropped through a Qliphotic rift, he eventually wound up on Anti-Earth, where he killed Offender, took his place among the Conquerors and is rebuilding his power base from... whatever they call detroit there

on a similar note, the Starbreed's creator, Professor Pandemonium, really sounds a lot like Doc D

He most likely is his version of Destroyer.

Anyways, what really piqued my interest in Shadow D was the fact he was from a universe where past present and future are happening at once. Which instantly made me think of the wedding of River Song. I figured Sidereal River is aware of Shadow Destroyer's existence and feels that stopping him is partly her responsibility.

Well, there's the TSAB, the Time Space Administration Bureau, which has Riot Force Six, IOW, the Cast of Nanoha.

Okay, bit of clarification:

The first of these champions villains I did was volume 3, the second one I did was Volume 1 and this one is volume 2.

Circle of the Scarlet Moon: The Circle of the Scarlet Moon is a cabal of mystics which was formed in the late 18th century with the express purpose of acquiring power and influence. during the Golden Age they were absorbed by the Pact, and the circle became the primary representatives of the Pact in North America. While most Circle members lack the mystic power of your average member of the circle, they possess vast political and financial power.

-Archdruid Airetach: The highest ranking member of the Circle in North America, and often considered the American equivalent to Silas the Elder, Eric Marburg was a crooked businessman who stumbled into the pact after dropping in on one of their rituals looking for blackmail fodder on his boss. He eventually rose through the ranks, both magically and in business, till he was the CEO of an investment firm and the Archdruid of his lodge. Airetach is a powerful but subtle spellcaster, and is as powerful a mage can get without becoming a superhuman level caster. Airetach also owns two artifacts: A letter Opener dedicated to Celtic Sea Gods which can drown a man on dry land, and the severed head of a business rival which can reveal future business information to Airetach.

-Markita Duquense: Born Markita Sanshin, Markita is a second generation member of the Pact, the daughter of Russian Immigrants (A former KGB mystic who was smuggled out by the Pact when the Battle Czar began purging Russian Mystics during his war with the Crone). She was a master of Astral Projection, and travelled the Imageria in search of power. She also worked the sex Industry where she met her future husband. When she became pregnant, she decided to seek the blessing of various evil entities throughout the Imageria to bless her birth to ensure a powerful mystic: Bloody Mary, Princess Glaysa, and even The Crone herself came to her beckoning, but so did a fourth, Morwell the Queen of stars, who doubled the blessings given by the other three. As a result, Markita gave birth to twins: Pamela (who would become the villainous Talisman), and Beth (Who would become the heroine Witchcraft.) Beth's defection is a great source of humiliation for Markita, and she would do anything to bring her daughter back into the fold... or eliminate her.

-Roger Duquense: Another descendant of Pact Mages. Roger lacks any real magical talent, instead making up for it for a knack for politics and business. He is also a slasher whose killed more people than Jack the Ripper, armed with a mystical axe and several other nasty trinkets.

Deathstroke: Damian and Adrian Dumorte were a pair of Alaskan metamen who used their powers to kill their abusive stepfather after years of torment. The duo formed a villain team known as Deathstroke with several other villains, and attempted to enter the big time of villainy. They made the mistake of working with a villain who eventually turned out to be Overshadow. When they discovered Overshadow was using them as his patsy, they helped the Sentinels take him down, at the cost of the lives of most of the team save the two brothers, who ended up in the Raft till the breakout. They are now laying low, and looking to rebuild their team.

-Requiem: The elder brother, Damian possesses possesses potent sonic powers. Once an arrogant blowhard, he has become much more mature and serious since prison, and is thus more dangerous.

-Frost: Adrian is an ice manipulator, and is still a greedy, smart mouthed, sarcastic jerk. His bad attitude has earned him many enemies in the villain community.

The Futurists: A villain team on the rise, the Futurists are a pair of mercenary villains who met while working for PHANTOM, and got to talking politics. Eventually they decided to team up lead humanity to a better future, whether they want it or not.

-The Fiend: Niklas Krueger is the son of German Aristocracy, and a metaman with the power to inflict pain on others. Originally a villainous mercenary, he decided he could be doing more with his life and joined with Morticus to form the Futurists. While he does want to help the world, he is also a vicious sadist who uses his powers to hurt others cause he feels it gives him power.

-Morticus" Ethan Martin was a CIA agent sent to eliminate Poppy fields in Afghanistan when he was badly scarred by an acid bomb deployed by PHANTOM. When it became apparent the CIA was not going to help repair his face, and in fact that they had burned him. Becoming bitter and angry, he got a hold of a cold war Swiss bank account and used it to purchase a suit of power armor from the Foundry and took the name Morticus, since he considers himself the death of the corrupt society that nearly destroyed him.

Red Winter: The National Superteam of the Burning Protectorate, Red Winter was formed by Battle Czar with aid from the mad scientist Queue. Red Winter are heroes in the same way the Einherjar are heroes, and often get in battles with other super hero groups as often as they fight villains or disasters. Red Winter did gain some fame by helping drive back Grandfather Winter during an invasion last month.

-Soviet Guard: Stephan Stepanov was a minor soldier selected to be a test subject for Queue's attempt to recreate Captain America's super soldier system. To the surprise of all, it was a total success and more, creating a super strong and durable super soldier. Dubbed the Soviet Guard, Stephan is the team leader and answers directly to Battle Czar. He is fanatically loyal to Battle Czar and his ideals.

-Drago: An assassin and trained interrogator during the Czar's reign in the Protectorate, Evgenii Drago was badly injured during the tumultuous transition after Battle Czar took over the country, rebuilt as a cyborg by Queue, Drago decided that he may as well work for Battle Czar, and was placed on the team.

-Hammer: Natalya Fedorovna was a young solder of the Protectorate who was chosen as a subject for superhuman augmentation. She was outfitted with a special arm mounted Piston in the shape of a hammer which enhances her punching power, allows her to project air blasts, and create powerful ground strikes. She is married to fellow teammate Sickle.

-Red Dawn: Fyodor Mikhailov is a Protectorate scientist who is fascinated with weapons systems and developed the Red Dawn Mechsuit. Since its pilot required dangerous cybernetic augmentation to use the weapon, Fyodor volunteered for the job himself. Red Dawn is easily the most powerful member of Red Winter, since his armor is built with Mithran tech.

-Sickle: Vasilli Vasilev is the grandson of the Golden Sickle, a Golden age Russian super soldier who fought in WW2 and was killed by the villainous Necrull. Vasilli became a loyal agent of Battle Czar, and was invited to join the Burning Protectorate as a researcher when he took it over. After an injury took his hand, He had it replaced with a cybernetically enhanced sickle, so he could carry on his Grandmothers legacy. Sickle is the husband of fellow teammate Hammer.

-White Wolf:Adrik Smirnov was a simple villager until one day he made the misfortune of insulting one of Baba Yaga's hags, who cursed him with Lycantrophy. Seeking a cure, his family sought out Battle Czar, who decided to recruit Adrik is a super agent. Years of using his monstrous wolf half have caused White Wolf to become increasingly inhuman and bestial, and eventually he will be unable to return to his human form at all.

The Sylvestri Clan: Probably one of the most infamous members of the Pact, the Sylvestri clan are an Italian family of Satanists and dark mystics who actually serve the interests of the Ebon Dragon itself. They are presently at war with the Giovanni, a clan of Vampire Necromancers also native to Italy, following a botched marriage attempt between members of the clan (Actually ruined by the interference of the Covenant.) The family also has several extended sub families, including the Germanic Liefeld family and the Scottish Macfarlane clan.

-Patriarch: In the Sylvestri clan, the first among all evils is Giacomo Sylvestri, once an Italian count. Years of being unable to father a child, and finding his latest wife in the arms of a young guard, Giacomo tried to take his frustrations out on a fortune teller who had promised he would have "More sons than Jacob." In truth, the fortune teller was a Pact mage, who arranged for Giacomo to sell his soul to the demon Astaroth in order to gain a son. He did, but eventually his evil nature provoked the Pope to send agents of the Covenant to wipe him out. Mortally wounded, he sacrificed his beloved son to the demon Marbas in order to be healed and gain immortality. Eventually Giacomo worked his way up to being a powerful mage and a direct servant of the Ebon Dragon, who forbades him from using any magic save infernal magic, and can punish him with pain or power loss whenever it strikes him. Giacomo must periodically sacrifice one of his descendants to maintain his immortality, and thusly all his family is terrified of him.

-Astralle: Perrenon Sylvestri wanted mystical power, but didn't want to sell her soul to get it. Instead, she contacted the seven planetary demons, offering to take them as lovers in exchange for minor boons and mystical powers. She occasionally dresses up as a conventional supervillain and takes the name Astralle, or the Alias Perry Wood when she needs to go undercover. Astralle possesses a wide variety of infernal spells.

-Cornellius Liefeld: In his youth Cornellius rebelled against the mystical ways of his family, instead opting to become a scientist. Eventually though, he succumbed to the allure of magic and became an alchemist, using it in his work as a chemist. Liefeld is not on the same level as Doctor Azoth of Hoenheim of the light, but he is still a potent Alchemist, he is also addicted to heavy toxic metals.

-Bocal McFarlane: A child prodigy, Bocal was already summoning minor demons by the time he was sixteen. He eventually applied his genius into the rare and dangerous field of Biomancy. He eventually won a place in the inner circle of the Sylvestri by announcing his most ambitious project ever: To change himself into a living Avatar of the Ebon Dragon which it could use to directly effect the world. Work is slow, but every year he becomes a littler larger and a little less human, and soon he will become a vessel capable of handling the Ebon Dragons power.

The Vandaleurs: One of the oldest surviving mystical families, the Vandaleurs can trace their routes back to 11th century Constantinople. Over a hundred people claim membership in the Vandaleur lineage, but only less than a dozen actually practice any form of magic. Unlike the Sylvestri, the Vandaleurs are not predisposed towards good or evil.

-Adrian Vandaleur: The elder of the Vandaleur family, the thousand year old mystic is one of the most feared and respected figure in the mystic world. In his life he has traveled everywhere and done just about anything. While not as powerful as many people think, he wields almost godlike power over his own descendants: Able to deflect their magic, strip them of their powers, and warp them through unbreakable curses.

-Eduard and Anaise Vandaleur: A pair of insane, incestuous twins, Eduard and Anaise were driven mad after unsuccessfully trying to plumb the depths of the imageria. They now see the world as their personal plaything and use their magic to wreak havoc on anyone around them.

-Chatoyant: Mariel Ganteaume had no interest in her family or their claims of magic until a car accident took her legs. Unable to find anyone in the family who could heal her, she instead turned to the art of Astral Projection, she sought out the cult of Tezcatlipoca, and convinced a junior member of the cult to teach her to astral project into the form of a Jaguar. After escaping the dark Gods wrath, she returned to Quebec and became a mercenary for her family, using her power to astral project into the form of a jaguar to steal, spy and attack for her family members.

-Tobias "The Toad" Vandaleur: While not a powerful mystic, Tobias Vandaleur is very knowledgeable, with knowledge of countless spells, artifacts and creatures. One night she was visited by Adrian Vandaleur in secret, and offended the family patriarch with his arrogance. To teach him humility, Adrian turned Tobias into a humanoid toad. He hides from the world, but offers his services as a loremaster to anyone willing to pay. He seeks to gain more knowledge in the hopes he can prove his worth to Adrian and get him to remove the curse.

Champions: On Alert

Ao'Qephoth - An extradimensional parasite with a thirst for arcane power, Ao'Qephoth has set it's sights upon this dimension in hopes of devouring the strength and lives of it's greatest champions. A powerful being in it's own right, Ao'Qephoth can project magical blasts of shadow-like energy that drain the target of it's strength, weakening them until it can drain it's victim dry at it's own leisure. Cold, calculating, and forever hungry he has established a cult upon this world, manipulating the desperate, mad, and even depraved into doing his bidding. Ao'Qephoth hungers... and only the lives of this dimension's inhabitants can sate it.

Devana Hawke - Is a super-powered do-gooder constantly throwing a monkey wrench in your schemes? Need them taken down quietly? For the right price, (and if she's interested) Devana Hawke will take on the assignment. Not one to simply go in guns blazing, Devana will take her target down at the most opportune time--usually when the target is at their weakest, physically and mentally. Whether it means orchestrating situations to break down heroes or get to them through their loved ones, Devana always completes her assignments by any means necessary, particularly those that nderestimate just her accuracy and lethality as an archer.

Freon II - Cory Caldwell was your every day refrigerator repair man until one day he was repairing a broken fridge in the Champions Headquarters. After Cory was done, Witchcraft cast a spell to cool the fridge faster but it backfired and caused a magical explosion. After the smoke cleared Cory Caldwell had been transformed into FREON. Now hideous in his metallic exterior he swears vengeance against all heroes... especially Witchcraft.

Kenina Blaze - Kenina was pyromaniac. She loved setting things on fire just to see the souls of the flame dance in front of her. So when Dr. Destroyer offered her the ability to shoot fire at will of course Kenina accepted. After the good doctor was finished she became the one woman wildfire known only as Kenina Blaze.

Hrodgeir the Unending - Long ago, in the annals of time, there was a great viking warrior known as Hrodgeir, a vicious combatant who hungered for naught but victory and battle. Driven by bloodlust, Hrodgeir swept across land and sea, seeking any and all challengers to test his axe against and leaving nothing but the fallen in his wake. To his fellow warriors, he became known as Hrodgeir the Unending, for no matter the challenge, and no matter how many wounds he gained or blood he shed, it seemed as though nothing could stop him.

Now, many, many years after his apparent death, Hrodgeir rises again to serve the will of Balder the Beautiful, driven once more by his lust for battle. In an age of powerful heroes, perhaps Hrodgeir the Unending may finally meet his end!

Madam Mayhem - the self-proclaimed daughter of Doctor Destroyer, however there is no evidence whether her statement is true or not. Regardless of her claims, what is known is that her superhuman intelligence, incredibly advanced power armor and robotic minions make her extremely dangerous, and after a few weeks of her appearance she has quickly risen in UNISON's Most Wanted list; for several acts of Extortion, Larceny, Arson, Blackmail, Conspiracy, Destruction of public and private property and several counts homicide.

Madstone - The mortal races are not the only ones who make deals with greater beings for power. Demons also yearn for greatness, but even they are susceptible to corruption. The Madstone was once a sucubus in service to Temblor of the Crowns of Krim. She became tired of skulking around as a glorified lapdog to Dark Seraph and took a more proactive interest in her own affairs. She sought out the power to break free of the Stone Crown and found it in the Heart in Man's Dementia. Though no longer bound to the Crowns of Krim, the corruption of the Qliphothic Realm shattered her mind and transformed her body. As The Madstone, she revels in senseless destruction and sows chaos wherever she goes. She has no plans or far reaching ambitions. All she wishes now is to break everything in her path.

Rockjaw - When he and his squad mates were ordered to go behind enemy lines to sabotage a secret research facility, Captain Ivan Walker didn't expect to come back alive and didn't mind giving his life for his country. What the Captain could not foresee was the presence of VIPER on the scene, and the sudden appearance of a superhero in the middle of the base while his squad was setting up explosive charges.

The ensuing battle wrecked havoc in the facility, destroying containment on some of the most dangerous bio-weapons being engineered there. A fateful blow from the superheroes to a VIPER Brickbuster ended up collapsing the whole building, setting up the explosives prematurely in a giant ball of fiery death. Officially, no one made it out alive that day, but the truth is far more disturbing.

Broken by the death of his squad mates and fueled by a newfound hatred of superheroes, Captain Walker survived by an inch of his life. The cataclysmic explosion and the powerful chemicals released during the incident caused irreparable damage to his body and mind, transforming him into a horrible mutant creature. But the real switch from loyal soldier to insane villain came when his superiors recovered his body on the scene and imprisoned him for use in their own secret research before he escaped and began his personal war as Rockjaw. (actually Project Icarus, but Rockjaw is too far gone now to care)

Oh yeah, Great Bridge is awesome. Its basically every anime cliche and parody they could think of, from Ranma to Pokemon, made into villains.

And now we look at the first of four Villains and Vigilantes I picked up today. I actually clicked it by accident, but after reading the description I decided to get it. Glad I did cause its the best of the four books I picked up today. Now lets look at some of the villains of Japan.

The Great Bridge

Bakanaru: Kochihawa Koji is often considered the Japanese Smashface, and with good reason. He's a huge superstrong brute with a brain the size of a pea, wielding a makeshift hammer as a weapon. Bakanaru is incredibly powerful, and no Japanese Hero has ever done more than slow him down. Luckily his stupidity means he usually just steals food, video games, manga and porn. If he had a brain (Or was directed by another villain), he might be a legitimate threat.

Stingray: Mitsugi Ayaka was a former Athlete who grew bored with life in the private sector and became a mercenary criminal, Armed with a suit of power armor and a high tech Motorcycle which can form into a second layer of power armor. The origin of the armor and Motorcycle is unknown, but resembles technology designed by Raven International.

Misaka and Eiji: Kitsune Misaka and Tanaka Eiji are a pair of Japanese High School students. Both of then Otaku's and outcasts among their peers, which made them close friends. One fateful day, Misaka and Eiji came across a tiny Omlevex meteor, which while not powerful enough to give them powers, did imbue their school uniforms with power. When worn, it turns Misaka and Eiji into beautiful animesque superbeings. Misaka becomes a FISS, and Eiji gains Super agility and Ki manipulation powers, which he focuses with a wooden sword. They promptly decided to use their powers to get back anyone who ever tormented them. They are friends to Doc Otaku and have aided him on capers on occasion. They also have weaknesses related to anime: Misaka is fearful of men seeing her panties, and Eiji suffers a nosebleed when he see's panties.

Kumagi: A half dragon girl from another dimension. Kumagi looks like a normal girl, but can transform into a humanoid dragon at will. She was tricked into our world through a magic potion from one of her cousins. She currently travels around, trying to find a way home, and along the way taking her frustrations out on anyone who gets in her way and stealing to survive.

Lidia: A cyborg of unknown origins, Lidia was found after the Invasion in a wreckage of unknown origins. It is presumed that she was kidnapped and modified by the Invaders, but her true origin are unknown. She was kept and studied by the Japanese Government for a time, but eventually escaped and is currently on the run. Lidia has artificial eyes, arms, and respiratory and circulatory systems, giving her enhanced strength, senses and endurance. She also has mechanical wings and is a master of the sword.

Mai: A Vampire girl living in Japan, Mai broke away from her clan and joined the Japanese branch of Vampire Nation, becoming the face of the Eastern branch. Unlike Harmony, she is still an outlaw (The Japanese Government is less tolerant of monsters than the American), forcing her to associate with PHANTOM and the Yakuza.

Matsugi: A young girl with mystical powers, Matsugi used to use her powers to cheat on tests, but then she stumbled upon a realm known as Second Earth, a seemingly idyllic world which slowly corrupts anyone who stays there to beings of evil. There Matsugi met a dark lord who tutored her in mystic arts as she grew more and more wicked. Matsugi lacks a great deal of offensive magic, instead possessing powers of astral projection, Telepathy, healing and protection, which she uses for blackmail, identity theft, and fraud. She also plans to bring heroes to Second Earth to corrupt them to evil.

Riku: A powerful Android designed by Omnitech Steele with aide of Lawrence Reinhardt, Riku is a female shaped super robot who was stolen by the Foundry and reprogrammed for evil. She now fights against the Tokyo Defense League.

Tanken: Masamaki Shin was a scientist working for Raven International who stole Proto 18, a super powerful mech suit so he could use it to commit robberies to pay off his gambling debts. He doesn't like being a criminal, but is afraid to stop.

Sonya: Sonya was such an evil little girl that when she died at the age of twelve, she went immediately to Hell, where she became Mr. Hoppy's apprentice and quickly rose from the rank of dammed soul to demon lord. One century later, Hoppy sent Sonya back to Earth to capture errant demons and dammed souls who have escaped Hell. While lacking powers on Earth, Sonya has with her Abberris, a powerful demon with a death touch.

Sparky the Robot Boy: When Astro Boy left Earth following the slaughter of the previous iteration of the Tokyo Defense League, the Japanese Government created another boy robot to replace the small robot hero. Sparky served dutifully till one day he was struck by "Anti Lightning", from a storm that passed through a dimensional vortex from Anti Earth. The bolt turned Sparky evil, and he has been a foe to the Tokyo Defense League ever since.

Agent Stone: Ishii Ryoko grew up using violence and blackmail to get her way. Surprisingly, she decided to become a cop, but was regulated to being a meter maid. Eventually she was recruited by the Labyrinth, molded and brainwashed into a super deadly assassin.

Takumi: Yoshihada Tamuki's entire family was wiped out by Ninja's when she was young. Seeking revenge, she enrolled in the Secret Japanese Ninja Academy to become the greatest ninja of all time. She was eventually expelled for picking fights at school and fell in with the Yakuza as an assassin. Takumi is a master of ninja magic and a deadly hand to hand fighter.

Tetsuo/Hitomi: Kodashi Tetsuo was an overweight, lonely high school student who was one night approached by a myserious woman who said she could make him thin and popular. In truth it was Mister Infamy, who gave Tetsuo a super powered evil side: A beautiful and super strong woman named Hitomi. While Tetsuo is shy and kind, Hitomi is wild and vicious. While incredibly strong and durable, Hitomi is blind as a bat without her glasses. Tetsuo changes back from Hitomi by consuming a depressant (Usually alcohol), and Tetsuo changes into Hitomi by consuming a stimulant (Usually sugar of caffeine.)

Daibalak: Hatamashi Ryoga was an overweight Otaku until one day an experimental Reach weapon bonded with him, turning him into a muscular hunk who could turn into an armored monster. The device has tainted Ryoga's mind, turning him cruel and violent, and he has gone on a crime spree across Japan and South Korea.

Tadashi: Okihino Tadashi was always beaten up in school until he discovered a mysterious cube containing a tiny monster called Tygar. This opened him up to an underground world of young children having battles with genetically engineered monsters sealed in special cubes. Soon Tadashi began collecting more monsters, and soon he had a full team of six. While not technically evil, Tadashi and the other critter fighters are committing animal abuse with their monster fighting, and are considered outlaws. Despite this, the monster hunters often fight against SHADOW and PHANTOM.

The truth is even worse: The monsters are the creation of Mr. Matthews, created en masse, sealed inside the cubes, and scattered across Japan. The monsters are programmed to love fighting and to never use lethal force fighting each other, but they will eventually snap and go berserk, seeking out and killing Japan's super heroes and devastating everything in their path.

Tadashi's monsters are:
Tygar: A tiny Tiger like creature with a unicorn like horn. He is Tadashi's first monster.
Rocknar: A golem like rock monster who can fire energy blasts. Rocknar is Tadashi's second monster
Agiullon: A tiny parrot like creature that can generate sonic blasts.
Drakon: A four legged dragon who breathes fire.
Grizzlar: A huge grizzly bear who can generate electric blasts (Obviously, this one is Mr. Matthews personal favorite)
Wolfax: An ice wolf capable of generating intense cold.

Harumi: Mifune Harumi is the daughter of a human woman and a Cat Man from the Hybreed Society, as a result, Harumi is a catgirl with ears, claws and a tail. Harumi was constantly teased by her classmates until she ran away and joined a gang of delinquents. Now she lives on the street as a criminal.

Korusu: Ichigo Shinji comes from a long line of mystics who banish demons and destroy evil. One fateful day during his training Shinji miscast an astral projection spell which allowed a demon to take over his body. Korusu now uses his binding and banishment spells on mortal heroes rather than demons. Korusu is incredibly vain and will go berserk if anyone touches his face.

Yori: A cyborg assassin designed by SHADOW, Yori was left behind when Charli teleported Niffelheim into deep space. Found by a science station, she was taken to South America and then to Japan, where she promptly went berserk and went on a rampage before being captured by the Committee. She escaped in about an hour and is still at large. Yori is an incredibly strong and durable psychopath, but can be friendly and charming when she wants something.

I would like to say that when I post brief writeups of characters from other rpg settings, I mean no intent of copyright infringement. I post this stuff because I love it, and I encourage anyone who reads my thread to go out and buy these books, if they can track them down.

I don't imagine this is any closer to copyright infringement than fanfiction or any of the thousands of builds of copyrighted characters in Roll Call.

It is however, pretty awesome.

When I do eventually run my Vanguard game, I might have to set an episode in Japan to feature some of these Great Bridge guys. Although I did laugh at the name Ichigo Shinji. I thought Isaac Clarke was bad.

Mercenaries

Alexander VI: Lex Saint Anders was an up and coming AEGIS agent who lost his hand to a car bomb and got stuck behind a desk. Frustrated and unhinged, Lex became obsessed with emulating Alexander the Great, buying a artificial cybernetic hand and sky cycle from the foundry, and using his AEGIS access to find potential customers, Lex became the costumed Mercenary Alexander VI. Lex still works at AEGIS, and sells classified info to the highest bidder.

Hurtsickle: Hiltrude Schmidt Herder was a young girl playing on her family farm in Germany she stumbled on an abandoned Nazi lab underground. A former workshop of Doctor Destroyer himself, she was exposed to a super soldier serum by accident when she accidentally tripped the security system. The serum granted her super strength and durability, but causes her body and bodily fluids to faintly glow with bioluminescence, She still lives on the farm, but occasionally uses her super strength as the mercenary Hurtsickle (Named for a type of weed that grows on her family farm).

Magpie: Mindy Pollins was a young researcher and scientist with a love of birds and Gliders, approached by the Foundry, she was given an opportunity to build a high tech glider cloak and a face mask that allows her to control birds. Initially a super thief, Mindy found it not to her liking and instead became a part time heroine and hired gun.

Overload: Oscar Leland was a mailman who had the misfortune of delivering a package to the lair of a Pact mage at the exact moment a lightning elemental broke free from the wizards control and went on a rampage. Somehow Oscar and the elemental merged, granting Oscar its lightning manipulating powers. He has since become the costumed adventurer Overload to earn his fortune.

Painted Lady: Rebecca Lane was a college scientist studying the metamorphosis of Butterflies when some mutated spores from a competing scientist caused her to mutate into a beautiful, simple minded buttterfly like humanoid. Dubbed the Painted Lady by her assistant Betty, Rebecca does mercenary work to pay for her therapy and fund research to make her normal again. In addition to super strength and durability, Rebecca can fly and cocoon herself to rapidly heal from injury.

Ronin: Paul C. Harrette was a Japanese American boy who always loved stories of the Samurai. Unfortunately her mother had earned some debts in the Japanese Underworld and the entire family was abducted by the Black Hand. To save his family, Paul agreed to become a modern day Samurai on their behalf. Eventually Paul, with the help of his brother Sam (Who became a Ninja), rescued their mother and younger brother and escaped back to America. Now they live on the run from the Black hand, doing mercenary work to make ends meet.

Silencer: Eli Smith is a professional slacker and music afficianafo who was devastated to learn his favorite musician could no longer get work because he was a metaman with a devastating sonic voice. Determined to find a cure for him, He studied his singing to learn how he could control his sonic powers. When he presented the singer this info, he still refused to go back to singing. In a rage, Eli developed his own sonic powers, and killed his idol, becoming the sound manipulating assassin The Silencer.

Solo: John Wayne Prescott was raised from childhood for a military life, Eventually he left the conventional army and became a high ranking member of Foregone Conclusions. While lacking powers, he possessed Foundry designed tech including a plasma rifle and a special protective suit.

Troll: An actual, factual Troll, Clayton Rold was summoned as a child from the Imageria to the wilds of Canada by a young Pact mage by mistake. Raised by Television, he eventually made his way to Valleywood where he became a horror movie star. He now goes by the name Troll, and occasionally does muscle work for super villains. He is almost as strong as the Sentinels Troll, and the pair have duked it out on occasion.

White Knight: James White always loved super hero, so when his Family's salvage company was commissioned by AEGIS to destroy some of their old supermax armors, James was able to glean enough from the armors to build his own (paying for it by mortgaging his home). Initially a hero, he became a mercenary to make ends meet, but still wants to good. (Also: Little hint, don't even think about comparing him to the other White Knight. He hates that guy.)

Auger: The head of Germany's Foundry branch, Adrian Uger is a survivor of cold war era Berlin who was spirited away from his family by the Soviets due to his brilliance. Escaping, he was offered safety by Talos, and became one of his best inventors. While not overly malicious like some other Foundry agents, Auger believes his intellect puts him above the law and he will invent for anyone who meets his price. He also uses a powerful suit of power armor and is fond of android doubles.

Crackerjack: jack Crosby is a devil may care British Mercenary and minor sorcerer who specializes in spells that let him break into and out of places. He specializes in getting in or out of any situation.

Crash: Eddie Aday was dragged to a John Smith Society exhibition by his girlfriend when he ended up as part of the experiment. Eddie wasn't sure what went down, but when he woke up everyone else was dead and he was immortal. Becoming the legendary wheelman Crash, Eddie is known for doing and surviving near suicidal driving stunts. Crash is a part time member of the Hard Traveling heroes.

Express: Shantal Spicer is a single mother and a metaman with super speed and the unique ability to copy a "Package" of memories from one person and transport it to another. An Agent of the Silber Agency, express is the ultimate courier, and a good friend of Johnny Rocket.

Hound: Harry Dumont Jr. Was the youngest member of a family of cannibalistic slashers who preyed on hitchhikers entering their territory. Not a slasher himself, Harry still helped chase down trespassers until one day he got hit by a truck while chasing a hitchhiker and was taken into town, which clued the VASCU into his family. Put into protective custody, Harry was never adopted, and eventually grew up to become a bounty hunter. Harry is smarter than he lets on, and has enhanced senses which make him a great hunter.

Mindsweeper: Judith Sutter is a metaman telepath whose powers first manifested when she saw the ghost of her Grandmother and helped reconcile between her and her still living Grandfather. Growing up, Judith decided to use her powers to help solve Paranormal problems. Mindsweeper can detect and nullify virtually any form of mental influence, making her ideal when dealing with ghosts, demons, vampires and so forth.

Rad: Ivan Zhadovich is a metaman by way of his parents being exposed to Chernobyll who possesses enhanced strength and the ability to absorb energy and release it as a blinding flash. Forced to live in the outskirts of Chernobyl with his mother, he eventually became the leader of a street gang known as the Fallouts.

Weaver: Vea Tolok is a member of a genetically engineered race created by the Reach who escaped to New Amsterdam during the Invasion. Weaver has a very unique power: She can create a symbiotic life form which she then form into a super suit for a willing customer. She now makes symbiotic costumes for whoever pays her while she learns more about her new home.

Smoke & Mirror Inc.: A pair of heroes who work as private detectives, bodyguards, and other such work. They generally go out of their way to avoid working for more shady clientele.

-Smoke: Steve Ashberry was a College student visiting Tibet when he was saved from a mugging by a White Lotus warrior named Steam. Steam led Steve to the Shambala vale where she trained him in martial arts. In addition to his fighting skills, Steve can assume a form of smoke and ash and become intangible.

-Mirror: Mary Goldridge was an Omnitech Steele researcher who developed illusion and mirror based devices to become a crime fighter. After a fight with Orion damaged her tech, she decided she needed more on the offense, and teamed up with Smoke.

The Alternates: A team of A Team style mercenaries, the Alternates are four siblings who exist as soldiers of fortune. In truth their parents were a pair of inventors who developed sophisticated android technology based on androids they found in an abandoned Foundry lab. When the boys were killed in a dump truck accident, the kids had their memories transferred into android bodies and spent years in stasis watching reruns of the A team, when they woke up, they had forgotten their old lives and became a mercenary quartet.

-Griffin: The Hannibal of the team, Mick Madison has super intelligence.

-Grumpy: The BA of the team, Rick Madison has super strength.

-Grace: The only girl on the team, Grace is the face of the team with appearance altering powers and teleporting powers.

-Gridlock: The Murdock of the team, Nick is an electricity manipulator.

The Rangers: A European based Vanguard team, the Rangers only had a few mission before they ended up being benched following a disastrous battle with Eurostar. Embittered, the team broke from the Vanguard and became mercenaries.

-Auto-Da-Fe': Amaranto Salazar was a self centered Spanish till he received a handful of religious Artifacts from his late Grandfather, a former member of the Celestial Chorus. A changed man, Amaranto joined the Vanguard on urging from the Chrous to act as their spy in the organization.

-Claymore: Alasdair McKee grew up in an old Scottish castle his father ran as a tourist destination. One day, he discovered an old tome of Magic which imbued him with the power to summon a sword of energy. As Claymore, Alasdair eventually joined the Vanguard. He is also a latent mage who has been unconsciously performing minor cantrips.

-Flechette: Monique Fournier was a French runaway who joined the circus as a tightrope walker. When she was kidnapped by two criminals, she manifested her metaman power to generate energy darts. Eventually she went from the Circus to the Vanguard and then the Rangers.

-Heatseeker: Maria Gates is a second generation super hero, the daughter of Two British heroes who were rocked by scandal. Seeking to redeem her parents, Maria developed a suit of armor with flight and cold manipulating powers and joined the Vanguard. The Battle with Eurotstar and subsequent disgrace left her bitter, and now she blames her parents for their downfall.

-Powerplay:Johann Bloch was an Austrian Student looking to get in on a Hockey Scholarship when he discovered he was a metaman with telekinetic and power suppressing powers, which led him to the Vanguard. Powerplay is the biggest jerk of the team, and loves using his powers to mess with other supers.

-Spartan: The Team leader, Ambrose Carellash was a Greek Soldier who was installed as the trainer and leader of the Rangers. During a battle with Eurostar, Ambrose was badly mauled by the monstrous Pantera, and had to be rebuilt as a Cyborg. He has a rivalry with the Vanguard member Prophet, who was an advisor on the team up until their fateful mission.
