Our Justice League game has been pretty awesome overall, but one of my favorite episodes occurred when my friend was visiting from Japan and we gave him Booster Gold as a character so he could join the fun. My brother played Skeets, hilarity ensued.

One of my favorite recent moments is when my brother was coming back from a visit to the kitchen to grab a soda. He walked back into the room just in time to hear "Superman is knocked out." He stopped, and made us repeat it to make sure he'd heard it right. :)

(To be fair, it's a PL 11 version of Superman that my friend is playing, but he still is the heavy-hitter hero in our DC Universe).

In one particular game, my character used Starfire as a club to beat Robin to death. That was fun!

I use DCA, unless I state otherwise, all my posts are for DCA. I assume that 3ed is the same, but might be wrong in specific areas.

I based a whole adventure off the "Solomon Grundy want pants too!" bit from back in the day.
That was fun, had the bonus of a very real threat screaming silly things.

He reappeared later but got tied to a rock and shot into space. I believe he'll be back some day, in space pants.
Someone told me to write a blog about movies and RPGs...So here it is

I think I might have mentioned this before, but here we go again since my group laughed like fools for awhile because of it:

Aquaman showed up in my group's city because he needed help from a mystical, water themed member of my group to help heal an ancient sea creature who has fallen mysteriously ill. They met up with Aquaman at the docks to head out and the conversation went like this:

Aquaman: Ok, are you all prepared to undertake this mission?

Group: Yes.

Aquaman: We need to get to these following coordinates, so I will....

Player 1 : You gonna summon giant sea horses for us to ride there ?

Player 2 : Maybe a large sea turtle will carry us on it's back ?

Player 3 : Belly of a whale, has to be right ?

Aquaman stares at the group and raises his hand to his ear and taps his JLA communication device.

Aquaman : Watchtower this is Aquaman, 4 to transport to the following coordinates....

Group : Oooooooo

lol . those are some pretty funny stuff. we actually got to play last saturday. my friends ( the start of the 'knockoffs' group cause they are knockoffs of famous superheroes) fought a brainiac controlled Blue beetle. so far the group is a green lantern with a limited ring and a static shock kinda character . the GL maxed out his flight and crashed into the blue beetle thats 32,000 MPH he did the math and rolled the dice. annilated. however, the suit grew back from without the brainiac virus.

and then there was the slingshot. the static shock knockoff took two turns to supercharge himself as human lightning bolt at a giant robot attacking metropolis with the GL making a slingshot he propelled the human lightning bolt character into the central power battery of the robot rolled high enough to destroy him. excited for this saturday for them to continue their fight with Amazo.

My groups often turn out to be hijinks.
My favorite thing so far was when Bruce Wayne came to talk to my groups billionaire scientist. A character read his mind and rolled well enough to find out he was bat man. He said (What was that about Batman). The prankster of the group used his illusion power to have an illusionary Bat Man go past the window to confuse the Mind Reader. Soon illusionary Bat Men of all sorts where running about the house fighting each other. Later while batman and other members of the group where dealing with Grundey who had befriended the Demon Brute of the group who had taken him to a chilli tasting church function. The Prankster turned into a fake Bat Man and stole the Bat Mobile. Driving around town until Bat Man was forced to turn it off. Then he got out of the car and used his Morph, Growth, and Varible one to become a 60s looking bat mobile and continued to drive around town causing mayhem. The group was laughing throughout the entire session.

We were running DC Showcase mini-adventures with one GM and two PCs (Green Arrow and Hawkman). We ended up fighting Gentleman Ghost and Deadshot as they were trying to rob a bank. Hawkman focused on GG so Arrow got to deal with Deadshot.

A few rounds in, hero point to pull out an Nth metal arrow and hit GG square in the chest. Commence Hawk beatdown.

Deadshot had both his wrist guns disarmed in two consecutive rounds by GA. He eventually resorted to throwing random things from a hot dog cart at us (and failing miserably). Mace to the face from Hawk (which smashed his goggles) followed up by a flare arrow to the chest left him in pretty poor shape.

As Deadshot stumbled down the alley, he though it would be a good idea to escape upwards. As he was climbing, he got a rope arrow around the ankle and yanked down from about 20'. After unceremoniously crashing to the pavement, he took a big mace hit to the chest which put him down for the count.

High-fiving and carousing commenced.

LOL.

I feel like you gotta embrace the silly stuff because its.. well.. funny..

I had my brother and a friend play Green Arrow and Aquaman and confront a bunch of nazis.

End result was Aquaman tossing a tank full of Nazi's into the sea to be eaten by sharks, and the two of them giggling like school girls.
For a healthy dose of stupid, @Railbended

haha that's awesome! not necessary in Orin's character to do something like that but that's the fun of RPG you can change it if you want cause it's all about having fun.

Like for instance I talked a female friend into playing and she wanted to be a genie. after much debate I the GM gave in and ok'd it but had to restrict her genie a bunch to make him balanced for the party. In the end all she wanted to do was shapeshift a lot like into a spear and plunge herself through Amazo's crotch. lol. oh women *sigh*

I had a friend play Batman, and I put him up against Riddler. The clue was a Queen chess piece with a hair draped around it. He spent the whole game focused on the Queen's Jeweled Hairpiece that was on display, forgeting about the Prince who escorted the Jewel Hairpiece. I finally had to get Alfred to walk in a say "Sir, the Queen's heir has been reported missing", and the look on his face when he finally figured out the riddle was just priceless. He found and saved the prince, but he has always been reminded that Alfred is the TRUE detective.

It is not from a game, but I read a story once that proposed that if you use a lazurus pit to restore Alfred to youth, he would end up taking over the world. After all, a good leader must first know how to follow, and the touch of megalomania the pit would cause, would give him the ambition to go for it.

Alfred for President!

Shhhhhhh, keep you voice down... Dan Didio may be listening & thats exactly the crap he keeps on trying with the NU52.

Hmmmmmm, funny stories

Falcon Girl (after seeing one of the bizzarely clad Aquatic Knights): So is there like some sort of ancient civilisation of aquatic aliens living in the magical under water city of atlantis or something?
Captain Thunder: Of course not. What do you think this is some sort of comic book universe where ancient aliens hide behind every corner? Of course not, that'd be silly.
Falcon Girl : Says the guy who was empowered by a strange quantum alien device that fell from the sky.
Captain Thunder: Touche.
Captain Thunders Player: Oh god, we finally found a world where the History channel is right. (referencing Ancient Aliens)
“Anti-Intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge’.”
