On Pgs. 33 and 36 "make due" should be "make do".

Don't have the real one yet. It'll probably have to wait until after I've done the dishes.. but a quick glance at the masked adventurer:

- Charisma skills using +3 for ability bonuses rather than the +2 for Charisma.
- Initiative is +8 instead of +4 (Improved Init) and +3 Dexterity.

I'm assuming someone played with the ability scores after the fact.

p6: "National Comics bought the rights to Superman
from Siegel and Shuster for the princely sum of $130."

That's DC Comics take on the subject. But not the opinion of either Siegel or Shuster, or any member or advocate of the CBLDF.

Comics seems to be the only medium wherein the publishing company somehow purchases the rights to all characters, ideas, and stories contained within a script/strip when they lay down the cash. Any other medium and it's 'first time serial rights, and first electronic rights' that the publishing magazine purchases, not rights in perpetuity.

The author digs into the Captain Marvel litigation, but throws a quick line closing the case on Superman.

Point being it's a loaded sentence which represents a single side of a still contested issue. It should either be omitted, or altered to neutrality, or to equally represent both sides.

Yes, superheroes should be played like paladins in capes.

p6: "The success of New Fun Comics led its publisher (now known as
National Comics) to try its hand at another anthology title in 1937
entitled Detective Comics."

Should read... "its publisher (then known as National Comics)..."

p7: "While everyday criminals never totally went of style during the Golden
Age, their monopoly on comic-book villainy was eventually broken."

Should read... "never totally went out of style..."

p7: "Fawcett’s best-selling Marvel Family met its matches in the evil Marvel
Black Adam, as well as Doctor Thaddeus Bodog Sivana and the sinister
Sivana Family."

Should read... "Marvel Family met its match..." Some might think it should be... "Marvel Family met their match..." but no, grammar is a fickle fiend.[/i]

Folks are most certainly entitled to their opinions, but please limit this thread to actual typos, gramatical errors, or mistakes in game stats, not editorials; content is not going to be changed at this point.

p79: Centurion has Arrow's stat block.

p98: "He adopted the name ironic name Schlasbringer, “Sleep-bringer.”"

Should read... "He adopted the ironic name Schlasbringer..."

p66: "Reminding players just how far cultural attitudes
have progressed in the intervening decades is a good and healthy thing,
and it can fun for them to confront and triumph over racism, sexism, and
homophobia."

Should read... "and it can be fun for them to..."
Yes, superheroes should be played like paladins in capes.

Here's a small one I caught(I'll post more as I find 'em):

page 119, in the sidebar

"The system is necessarily abstract, boiling down several rounds of normal combat into longer battle rounds that resolve many different exchanges of
attacks and maneuvers one or two die rolls."

I believe you want an 'in' between 'maneuvers' and 'one or two die rolls.'

p 121 sample conflict -- Troops stats does not include Force modifier on Morale (should be +6). Their morale roll in the example should also therefore be lower in order to fail. Also they are Disrupted so they have another -1 on their morale check.

p 120-121 Shaken is used as a damage result and as a morale result but the definitions are different. Morale shaken lasts until a morale check succeeds but does not lose a round (apparently), Damage shaken only lasts a round but includes losing a round (Stunned).

page 117: "A force has a modifier to its morale checks based on troop quality, unmodified by unit size."

Force modifiers don't apply to morale.

Page 7, 2nd column, 3rd paragraph: Indeed, it was Dr. Sivana who became know...

Should be "became known."

Thanks, keep up the great work!
