Power Profiles in HeroLab

Postby Nekros22 » Thu Jan 16, 2014 1:54 am

How would you go about creating some of the Descriptor powers in HeroLab? I'm looking mostly at the Talent Power Profile; Flurry, Hurt Anything, etc.

Honestly? They're largely a matter of building the power (probably as a Feature) and then naming it "Flurry, Hurt Anything, etc". The results won't be reflected on the Special tab, but it's adequate.

For a slightly more fancy version, create a power that's a "Naked Extra" power that has two ranks, Narrow and Broad (I made a version that copies the Insubstantial power with its "Eval Script" to change the description to either "narrow" or "broad") and then lets you add on Extras, flat and ranked. I have posted a DropBox link to my version of that if you'd like. It's far from perfect, but it does the trick. Hero Lab isn't really built to create a power in the editor that assigns powers and Extras, but there are workarounds.

"Naked Extra" .user file.
