So, I'm trying to build Kirby's inhale ability in the editor, but I'm having trouble getting the power to read out as a cone. I know I could just add the cone extra, but I'd rather have the area be native to the power. And in fact I've tried using the Eval Scripts from the Cone extra, but I can't get the syntax right.

I just now noticed this one. I'll try to remember to take a look at this tonight. You want the cone to show up in the attack description, right? If you get to this before I do, look for powers with built-in areas like Gravity Control and Obscure.

And indeed, if you look at the first Eval Script for Gravity Control, they're setting it up as a burst, but it's easy to pull the code out and modify it to instead display text for a cone.

Code: Select all
      ~ Calculate our total area
      var v_minarea as number
      var v_maxarea as number
      var v_mult as number
      var v_areatext as string
      var val as number
      val = field[pwRanks].value * 10
      v_minarea = val
      v_maxarea = val
      v_mult = 10
      call AreaCalc
      field[pwInfo].text = v_areatext & " ft. cone"
