I wonder what's up with the Guard? Jeran thinks.

Amadethyn
HP: 2

Something of a mental snarl crossed Amadethyn's mind. The prince was not himself indeed. She relayed all of this this to Ashurei. I will keep the controller distracted, she thought to Ashurei, The more distraction, the less control he has. She plunged into the prince's mind again to find it's controller. Her mental voice was stern, I am Amadethyn, counsel to Uthgar and his kingdom. Who are you and why are you here?

Amadethyn: "Ahhh yes! But of course. The king's elven "counselor". Mindspy would be more accurate, no? I give you high marks for bravado. I am sure a lesser man would have been instantly cowed by your impressive attempt, but I have been inspiring fear in men and women alike for well over three centuries. If my pets don't kill you, I look forward to personally instructing you and those you care for in the ways of fear. Perhaps even, you will join me."

OOC: Do I have initiatives from everyone yet? If not, you're going to need them. Amadethyn, you get the sense that there was something supernatural that allowed him to resist your Intimidate. (Immunity: fear). Stilll waiting on Ashurei's action before the initiative round starts.

Arawn
HP: 2

The red-haired cleric had to admit that hearing Amadaethyn's voice in his head startled him a bit. He took it as some kind of a mental sending spell, which meant she must have been talented in the supernatural ways. Indeed, the elven lady was not only beautiful, but also seemed to be a magician of some kind.

Arawn glanced at the royal guards escorting the prince to the king and queen. Not just with his eyes though, he followed their heartlines with his eyes - a divine gift from his patron goddess, Sune, an ability to sense and read emotions of others. Something was not right. The prince, third in the line of succession to the throne, was almost overwhelmed by a mixture of fear and... hatred? What was this? Such a celebration was taking place and yet he was in no way taking part in it. The guards' mood changed quickly too, from excitement to... annoyance. The question was 'why'?

The half-elf grasped the divine symbol worn on his neck and chanted a prayer in the language of the sylvan creatures for good luck. "Mother of All Beauty, grant me the beautiful shape of whoever is needed at this time; love me, Goddess as I love you!"He decided to act in some way, pushing his way through the crowd so as to get as close as possible to the prince and his entourage. His eyes were fixed on their hearts, looking into them, trying to analyse their feelings. "Your Highness," he addressed the prince when he was close enough that he was sure he would hear and see him, "it is a pleasure to see you at this celebration!" He wasn't Arawn anymore. He was whoever the prince desired to see most, or at least, was thinking about.

Initiative roll (d20+6)=25; Arawn's using Glamour Glamer to assume the shape of whomever the prince wishes to speak most, or at least, someone who he was thinking about[Psychic + Subtle 2; DC [Will] 14 - need one degree of success for anyone the Prince was thinking about, or at least two to pick someone from the prince's thoughts and desires]

Ashurei Silverchord
(HP: 2)

Ashurei's gray eyes narrow slightly. He felt something was amiss here. Why would the prince be here, and why with men in royal escort livery when they were not men of the royal guard as he had ever known them. Even ahd they been recently promoted, he'd have known them from the regular guard. He'd never seen these men before, aside from the prince, and something seemed off with him as well.

Amadethyn's warning in his mind was the clincher and he knew something we wrong. The situation was delicate. Regardless of influence and not knowing the guards with the prince, there COULD be an explanation, and to anyone else, it would look as though he were attacking royalty.

The primal song strummed his inspiration like a finely crafted lyre and a song filled the air, the intent to shine primal light and reveal the true nature of things.

Power stuuuuuuunt!

Song of Shining Truth: Linked powers (26 points available for stunt)
[16] Mind Reading 8, Area:Perception(Auditory), Cumulative, Selective, Close Range, Limited to determining true nature
[ 8] Illusion (Visual/Auditory) 8, Independent, Limited to true nature of subjects of Mind Reading(-2)

Creates an overlay illusion over each person he selects to affect in the area, the illusion is a reflect of the true nature of the subject. The illusion is more just for a display factor than making it believable, but I figure it might spook some people to sudden see something unexpectedly terrifying.

The DC is 18 dodge for half rank, otherwise DC18 Will for both effects. The Mind Control is only going to affect the fake royal guards and the prince, everyone will be able to see the illusions generated if any

Veshani
HP: 2
Condition: Ready to rumble

As the festivities went on there were cordial greeting all around. Two elf ladies, two half elf men and human male. All of them very pleasing to the eye. Veshani likened it to the most awesome adventuring crew ever if they got the chance. Then again, if he got the chance, he'd like to know each of them a little more personally before traveling with them. He seemed dazed with all the prettiness around. Though that had to end with something sinister. It always did. Prince comes up in here like he owns the joint! Well, he kinda did. Still, something raised Veshani's hackles. Then the light show started. "Alright, Silver Bard, what's up with this scene?"

Everyone: The prince and the guards have stopped in their tracks in the middle of the common room of the Drowsy Dragon Inn. Apparently, the orchestrator of this plot was not planning on having you at the party. However, he is not entirely unprepared. Unfortunately for him, two have been able to beat him to the first punch. Amadethyn was able to determine that the prince is under some sort of mind control and was able to mentally communicate with both Ashurei and Tania Glimmerwing. Ashurei starts singing a song, and suddenly images form around the four guards and the prince. The four guards' images look like giant bipedal wolves, whilst the prince's image at first remains cloudy. However, in a burst of energy at seeing all of you heroes present at the party, the prince's will is able to push through and an image of a man dressed in black surrounds the prince. He is also able to speak one word before he is suppressed again: "VAMPYR!"

Obviously this turn of events is upsetting to the patrons in the Inn and there is a mass exodus towards the exit. The prince is one of the ones heading towards the exit. The guards, however, appear to be transforming into their respective images, as clothing tears and rips as muscles expand outward to reveal four furry beasts that all of you recognize as werewolves!

Arawn: 25
Amadethyn: 22
Tania Glimmerwing: 22
Ashurei: 22
Jeran: 22
Veshani: 20
Werewolves: 14
Prince: 9
Syrinx Nightbreeze: 5

OOC: Jeran, I do not have an initiative for you unless I missed it. Please post and/or let me know where it is.

As the werewolves transform and all around the crowd is losing their minds with panic and fear, Arawn Redwynn stands like a bastion of calm. Grasping his Sunite holy symbol, the priest concentrates for a moment and suddenly his already attractive features seem to become supernaturally attractive.

OOC: Dodge Checks: (1d20+4=20, 1d20+4=15, 1d20+4=24, 1d20+4=24) Holy crap! The werewolves are supernaturally agile. One fails his dodge check (barely), and the other three make it. Now for the prince Dodge Check: (1d20+4=24) Oh my goodness. 3 of my first five rolls against you guys have been natural 20's. Now why won't Invisible Castle do this for me when I am a player? Fortunately for you guys, I do not give the bad guys special results for good rolls. It's a karmic benefit/penalty of being on the side of good/evil. Fortitude saves: (1d20+8=20, 1d20+8=22, 1d20+8=21, 1d20+8=15) OK one of the werewolves is dazed. The others are fine. Fortitude Save: (1d20+6=23) The prince is unaffected.

Tania Glimmerwing
HP3

Tania watches the chaos erupting below her with alarm. Humans were not supposed to be quite that hairy.

She took off for the back room where the king and the royal family awaited, they must be warned.

She ducks under the guard's pikes (if any) but stops half a room length away from King Uthgar.

"Your highness, this building is not safe please, you must fly to safety."

"I'll try to buy you time."

Out of sight, in the back room, Tania concentrates and illusory duplicates of the king and his family come into being.

She'll explain as briefly as possible if pressed to but is focused on getting them moving.

Jeran
HP: 1 (one is being used here) Condition: Time to dance

Using a Hero Point to alter the scene because, largely due to my recent D&D games being either low level or 4e, I didn't think about monsters who you needed magical or nonstandard weapons to hit, so I'm going to justify this in-character, and do something about it...

Great. Werewolves and a vampire. In a few seconds Kistellan would probably be in here, with her blessed sword in hand, but right now he was, with plain steel. Nine times out of ten, when he drew a blade he was fighting an ordinary mortal. And he knew all to well how easy it was to disarm someone, or steal them. So he usually thought it was best not to get too attached to any specific weapon, and enchanted blades tended to make you think otherwise. But right now, he needed an enchanted sword and dagger set. He scanned the crowd... he'd thought Duke Santrell would be here. Prized his family heirloom blades that held a bit of magic, wore them to every occasion he could get away with, but wasn't much of a swordsman. Perfect. He casually walked by the Duke and relieved him of his heirlooms (routine Slight of Hand beats DC 20). "I need to borrow these for a few minutes." He said, then moved to engage the werewolves.

OOC: Jeran, take a HP for a creative solution to your lack of magical/silver weaponry. I apologize for sticking so much to D and D sensibilities for an MnM game. I might have to rethink that. By the way, the blades you have procured are the Duke's ceremonial weapons and happen to be coated in silver.
