Re: Greek God Game (OOC)

Postby Spam » Wed Jul 31, 2013 11:33 am

Just tossing out my rolls here while I think of a post. What kind of difficulties am I looking at?

Dodge
1d20+13=19

Toughness
1d20+12=16

Toughness with Hero Point
1d20+12=30

Oh, and my suggestion would be to toss out a few stats for the creature, and let us beat on it for a few rounds untill you get back to post again. Just lay out a basic strategy of who or what it would hit, and one of us could roll for it.

PL12

Dodge/Parry 8, Toughness 16. Will 8, Fortitude 16

Maddening visage (helps it not be seen clearly by mortal eyes, including half mortals ;) and produces other creepy things like actively scaring people. DCs are 22)

Unarmed +8, DC 31. Area attacks enough to crush buildings, this would be Dodge 22/toughness 27.

Growth 16

Speed 8 (meaning mach one speed)

Swimming (enough to move the plot along :P)

Insubstantial 1

"sees" and "hears" with acute accurate ranged radius tremorsense

Immunities to survive the deepness of the bottom of the sea.

Complications: As you've noticed, its just spawned and while its a fish indeed, it's not understanding anything human and barely anything fish related. Also it seems bent on destruction. If it moves beyond this area it will mobilize the army of other deep denizen spawns.

Missed the dodge, then, but made the Toughness after a Hero Point.

All Out/ Power Attack +5/-5
1d20+9=28

Have Improved Crit (Unarmed), so a 19 is a crit. With power attack, if I'm right it should come out to +21 for a DC of 36.

Let me know if anything in my post doesn't seem right. I know a building isn't really an unarmed attack, but it seemed like a cool way to deal a critical hit to a big monster.

Technically to use a building as an unarmed attack you'd need the Improvised Weapon advantage, but it's the GMs call if he wants to allow it for "flavor" purposes.

That's what I thought, too. Otherwise, I can do a boring old jump up and punch it in the head. But the building is cooler.

Maybe i should have given it some agility? Too late now, but i believe it could be more graceful and seaborn creatures are somewhat wiggly :P

Bending Equalist wrote:Now my problem is, having a grand battle royale with Cthuzillafield is pretty much moot on my computer time. I mean we could try it, but I think that would pretty much drag on forever until disinterested parties leave. So, yeah, now I'll start with the questions both past and present. Maybe you could lob suggestions on what you think should happen?

The primary problem I see is that if you don't feel you have time for THIS fight, will there be time for any? Or will this game be taking on a more freeform/noncombat bend?

@mrbassman, Did you remember to add +3 to your attack roll from Pacifica's Inspire? I think you should have a hit if you do.

I didn't either! And after I specifically reminded myself to do so before writing my post. Come on Weyrd, you're better than that.

Technically anyone who goes after 16 gets the +3 bonus, unless I'm missing something here?
