Firekin

Firekin flies forward toward the vault where the civilians are being kept. She targets what she hopes is an outside wall with a jet of fire.

If she's able, she'll act as a barrier between the civilians and the baddies.

Full Power Attack against the wall for Damage +17 (Take that, wall!)

A wall, covered in ice, melts and crumbles before the power of Firekin's flames. A few cowering civilians run away, but most it seems, might be in the vault-from her new vantage point, Firekin can tell its closed. Probably locked too.

Running up the stairs first out of the vault is a handsome, athletic South American man, wearing a wide hat. He's dressed like a super out of the Wild West. He has a woman with him-not a super, she's dressed like a lounge singer. He's holding her by the upper arm.

The Bola twirled his name-sake weapon. "Hola, chica. I am Las Boleadoras!" He sketched a little bow. "My friends and I will be leaving now, I think. Although I wish you could join me and my lovely new mamacita here." For her part the woman looks both afraid and kind of charmed by him.

"But you might be tied up, as you say." The bolo in his hand suddenly ceases its swirls, flying straight at Firekin and wrapping around her tight. The balls are heavy, but the wires themselves feel to be made out of some strong, flexible metal.

Bola is limited to non-harmful methods against a lady like Firekin, but that's not limiting enough for a Villain Point, given his array of attacks.
He makes an attack on Firekin, and gets a 19, which is a critical. DC 25 Dodge check, fail and be hindered/vulnerable, two fails is defenseless and immobolized.
Warp is up.

Warp
Condition: Normal / HP: 2

Warp flexed her knees and leapt; two inches off the ground, she vanished in a flash and reappeared right in front of Weather Mistress, smashing both her booted feet into the villain's face. Warp somersaulted backwards with the momentum and teleported back, landing with a splash on the drenched floor. "Hurry up and lose, will you? I'm on a tight schedule here." She levels a finger at Weather Mistress and flashes her a jaunty grin. "Lemme tell you what. You tell me who's behind the rain, I'll go beat them up instead. Deal?"

Free action: speaking

Move action: none

Standard action: Use Blast 5 (STR-based, Indirect 2, resisted by Dodge) on Weather Mistress
Attack Roll vs Weather Mistress (power attack +2) (1d20+12=24)
DC 23 Dodge save vs Damage if it hits

Firekin

Las Boleadoras' bolo wrapped itself around Firekin as she floated in mid-air. Not the most effective attack against someone wreathed in flames. She smiled patiently.

Dodge check (DC 25) (1d20+8=16) just missed two degrees....

How does Firekin overcome the Affliction? How does the Crit affect that DC?

Meh, I figure Crits don't apply to ongoing effects.
As for getting out of the snare, you use damage or Sleight of Hand against DC 20.

Weather Mistress flew backwards from the kick, the impact just sending her spinning once in the air. She righted herself easily enough.

"Rain is the least of what I'm going to do for you for that, you bitch!"

A man in a red costume came flying up out of the vault area with a jetpack on his back and flamethrowers on his wrists. He remained floating in the air, literally goggling at Firekin.

"Dear god," He whispers. "She's beautiful."

Warp's attack hit, but WM rolls Dodge and gets a result of 30.
Firebug is up next, he flies up to just beneath the ceiling, he takes the Defend action this round. Congrats Firekin, you've got a super stalker!

Rescue
HP: 1, Condition: Normal

"First thing's first!" Danielle briefly hoped the young woman flying off ahead could take care of herself, but focused on the immediate problem. She wound up for a haymaker and took a shot as Weather Mistress recovered from Warp's attack.

Power Attack for the first swing of a campaign!
Punch (1d20+5=20)

Weather Mistress flew out of the way, rain droplets flying from the end of her hair in pattern that was almost artistic.

"Who are you people? The Freedom League's rejects?"

That's a miss. Fletch is up!

Warp
Condition: Normal / HP: 2

As Rescue went charging by on the attack, Warp rolled her eyes at Weather Mistress. "Waiting on you," she taunted in a singsong as rain splattered on her; the raindrops seemed to accelerate thousandfold a fraction of a second before touching her skin. "Seriously, you have the lamest power ever: the ability to ruin overpriced upholstery. Someone with diarrhea could do that."

The dart strikes Weather Mistress' boot at an angle, bouncing off and taking a hunk of some faux-leather with it.

She points at Warp. "You just got nominated to be a lightning rod, skank."

She rolls a 21 on the dot.
Also, Omega Girl, I forgot that she's vulnerable, meaning your attack should have hit. Take a Hero Point for that, my bad.

Polymath

Matt's ears perked up at the threat of lightning. He wasn't sure how he, or Athena, would be affected by that if they were hit, and there was enough water flying around that if anyone was in danger, then everyone was. Grateful that he'd chosen concentrated photon emission instead for his own weapon, he aimed at Weather Mistress and fired.

Legacy
Hero Points: One.
Condition: Regretful.

A sensation similar to the Lor-Van transport technology, then he felt the rain whip against his skin as the woman used her abilities to generate the system of low air pressure accompanied by rain and a rapidly dropping temperature.

"Truly, I regret that this is our only recourse, but I cannot allow your actions to threaten the other thought patterns within this structure."

With that Kaldor raised his hand, a focused wave of psionic energy slipping through her surface thoughts like pure white noise, burrowing into her psyche and then assaulting the foundations of her self image. Striding forward Kaldor moved towards her, ready to catch her in the event of her collapse.

OOC: Psionic Assault: Blast 10 (DC 25; Alternate Resistance: Will, Increased Range: perception, Reversible, Subtle: subtle); Move Action to move adjacent to W.M.

Weather Mistress clutched her head, moaning feebly. "Stop...it." She mutters before her eyes roll back and she falls from the air. She doesn't so much get caught by Legacy as she knocks into him, falling to the floor.

As she falls, the rain suddenly stops. The inside of the casino is still for a moment-although the walls are still coated in ice and the furniture is soaked.

Coming up from a stairwell leading to the vault is a figure clad in a costume with the colors red and white-like the Canadian flag. On his chest is the maple leaf and is hand is some kind of strange device, covered in frost and glowing with blue energy.

His feet are covered in ice skates-not metal skates meant for use on the ice, but actual skates made out of ice. He moves through the area gracefully, stopping as he sees Legacy standing over the unconscious Weather Mistress.

"Foul alien! Though America cooperates even with things such as you, you will never manage to stop free Canada!" Legacy knows without a doubt that this is the truly insane mind he detected earlier.

The white-haired man points his staff and blasts the alien with a jet of frigid air, trying to freeze the life out of him.

The next strange sight you see is a man in a purple suit and domino mask come bounding up into scene on a pogo-stick, equipped with rockets. On his back are slung two big black bags-probably full of cash. He looks to Firekin.

"Hello, ma'am. I can see you're in fine form, as you superladies often are. But did you know that seven out of ten men prefer the slim woman? Here, try a free sample of my Johnny Supermodel weight loss tonic. Don't worry about drinking it, it works through your skin on contact! Isn't that amazing, folks?" By his tone, you'd think he was on TV doing an informercial.

He throws a small glass bottle at Firekin, it bursts against her form, unleashing some terrible, foul substance that seems to be literally eating the fat, and other tissues, away from the inside of her body.

"Careful, you idiot!" Firebug rages. "She must live-to be my bride!"

Speaking of brides, the woman that comes flying up out of the vault is one that most of the men present wouldn't mind taking as a wife-she is exquisitely gorgeous. From holsters near her shoulders she produces two small pistols and snorts before firing. "As if anyone wants to marry you, hothead." Despite her enmity for her teammate, she aims at Fletch, and her blasts of concentrated light strike him square in the temple and eyes.

She gets a result of 9 total, so she's out.
Next, its the Maple's turn, he heads up into the main floor and blasts Legacy with his Ice Staff. He hits with a 27 total, and its DC 25 Fortitude Damage.
Huckster goes next, he also heads into the main floor via his Leaping power. He then attacks Firekin and just barely hits. Luckily, he gets the full 10 ranks of effect because she's vulnerable. Its a DC 25 Damage effect, linked to a DC 20 Weaken Toughness, resisted by Fortitude. Any points of toughness you lose won't count against this damage, badpenny.
Weather Mistress would go, but she's out.
Looking Glass is up, and she takes a shot at Fletch. She rolls a natural 20, so that's a critical. Damage DC 28.
After that, its Gladius' turn.
