I'm confused as hell, but since you didn't roll me, I hardly care. :P

Sweet! Ralph is about to discover that the suit also makes him immortal. Oh crap! Now he's going to have to worry about Connor taking his head. "Look at what's happened to me! I can't believe it myself! Here we are! We're the princes of the Universe!"

Connor: So, Ralph, you're an Immortal like me. There's something I should tell you about us Immortals...

...there can be only One!

Now... ... does your suit come with a sword?

It doesn't? That's very convenient.

Everyone should have a PM regarding their introduction into the game. I hope to have the IC thread up later tonight.

Happy gaming!

Are we meant to respond to the PM or wait for the thread?

If there is something wrong re: your PM... absolutely respond to it, ASAP, to correct the error. This would be a background related issue, eg: You receive a parcel at your Grandmother's house, and you damn well don't have a grandma.

Otherwise, be patient for threads.

The whole part with Silent Bob was really funny.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothes. But the half-wit remains a half-wit and the emperor remains an emperor.

Awesome opening post, Roguescribner and Lord Fell. You've really got the feel of the LoEG. Plus we get to work with Scully and Doc Brown. How cool is that? 8)

I'm still making a few tweaks to character sheets...

His sheet hasn't been adjusted yet, but The Greatest American Hero is going to have the Cypher advantage, and he also has a secret identity. He's not in costume... I'd say the DC to recognize an "unassuming school teacher" who is not local to your own location is about a 45.

Which is to say, you have no idea who he is.

On a similar topic, The Greatest American Hero is quite unwieldy to type, and it's not so much his identity as it is a title. He did call himself Captain Gonzo once, when he had to... but I think Gonzo means something very different in 2001 than it did in 1981. I'm not sure what his teammates would call him in play... I suppose he could still throw out "Captain Gonzo" innocently unaware of its seedier, modern connotations.

Thank you, Fell.

You reminded me the other reason why I wanted to play Jareth.

Namely that Jennifer Connelly is still smoking hot.

...just if you're wondering.

Those of you at the HQ...
Post.

Seriously. If you don't specifically have a question for Agent Scully, you might have a question for Sugar Ray or The Amazing Randi. Maybe you have a question for one of the other players. Perhaps you want to know where the washroom is. Perhaps your character wants to express shock and dismay that Hulk Hogan made the Portrait Wall. Maybe you'd like to dig into the files and maps.

On your marks, get set...

I will have access to a computer tonight so I will be posting then, when I am not limited to 512 characters. I worked all day yesterday (14 hours) and am working 6 hours today. I want to post something substantive.

Like what you did with Randi. Was all ready to challenge his beliefs and everything but this take makes a heck of a lot more sense in this game context.

Tweaked Ralph once again, as per Lord Fell. I took away the Uncontrolled Variable. Added more skill points, and a couple of advantages. Fixed the math on a few powers. I took the combat feats away from the suit and I gave Ralph some skill in unarmed combat, as he has been working with the FBI for 20 years. Chances are that Bill would have gotten him some kind of training in that time. He still isn't very good at it without the suit, but still, it's there.

As for the name, The Greatest American Hero, being unwieldy for typing, since, as Agent Scully put it, Ralph is a bonafide superhero, we could just give him the codename, The Cape. Whaddya all think? Oh yeah the link to the revised build is here.
