Concept: Shifter-theif.
Wally Iverson is not sure how he shifts like he does. Maybe he was born on a ley line dedicated for that sort of thing. He’d heard a mage talking ‘bout that sort o’ stuff but didn’t pay it no mind. The fact that he’d been tryin’ to pick the mage’s pocket had something to do with his not listening.
Wally was always getting in to trouble, an expert thief, but a horrible gambler he always frequented the ‘wrong’ sorts of gambling dens. He was easy to ply with drink and a flirtatious dealer staying far too long, getting deeper and deeper into debt. The gambling den owners exploited this.
They’ve made Wally do things for them to work off his debt. He hasn’t wanted to but he’s in too deep.
Eventually he took a job with the town of Lazlo in order to pay off his debts, or maybe they bought out his indentured servitude, Wally’s not entirely sure, alls he knows is he works for them now.
