Bobby
Alanis grinned at Bobby as if she was enjoying the light bulb slowly coming on over his head. "What do you think? Why do you think that Bruce went after him?
" She looked around to make sure that the other boy wasn't within earshot and asked, "Why do you think Bruce concentrate that kind of resources after Shelby if he hadn't been changed. That whole raid on the elementary school was aimed at punishing Shelby for not joining forces with him to take over the town. Our quiet friend paid an high price for choosing you and Sebastian over Bruce."

Sebastian

As the last robber fell, the other guy turned to face Sebastian. His eyes seemed to glow an electric blue in the darkness when he said, "Yeah, but this way, fewer cops get shot." Looking around and then back to Sebastian he asked, "I take it you're not with them?" His eyes fell on the backpack Sebastian was carrying.

Jaymie, Steve, and Mark
The waitress winked at Jaymie as she walked away. She knew when a girl was defending her territory. A thought occurred to the young teens. There was of course the comet display at the museum. It was a little unusual that the museum got such a display up so quickly, but the papers said it was very good.

"VERY perceptive." Sebastian replied "No, I am playing Robin Hood to your Clark Kent... from season nine of Smallville."

He pulled out a bundle of cash from a pocket and held it up for him to see.

"This one's going to the orphanage."

At the same time he was making quips, Sebastian's brain was furiously going into overdrive, trying to find some connections between black flying things and this guy, while also trying to figure out what to do if this conversation went sour...

"Oh," Bobby mumbled staring at his glass of water.

And there it was again. The elephant in the room. The very thing he'd been trying to steer the conversation away from.

To be honest he never bothered to think to hard about what Bruce was doing. The guy was a psycho. Who was to say he hadn't simply had an issue with Shelby and decided to get revenge after...

After he murdered Raven. They probably hadn't been all that far from where he and Alanis had spent their last day on earth. And then later he'd tried to kill Bobby right outside the elementary school. If he'd had a better handle on his powers, if he hadn't been so sure he'd gone insane, or if he'd just tried harder to stop Bruce this could have all over.

Maybe Shelby's parents would still be alive.

Maybe if he'd been less selfish and spent the apocolypse with his friend maybe Raven would still be alive.

He shifted the glass idly trying to come up with a way to change the topic. This one was just too depressing.

SEBASTIAN
As Sebastian's brain was working overtime to try and make a connection between the shadow faeries and the stranger, one flew down from upstairs and flash INTO the other boy. A light of recognition seemed to come on in the raven haired youth's eyes and he said, "Just go. The police will be here soon." Then in a flash of shadows he disappeared and the darkness began to crumble to a thin layer of dust around the room, some of it falling as a fine powder into the creases of Sebastian's back pack.

BOBBY

Alanis reached out with her hand and put it on Bobby's shoulders. "There's no need to beat yourself up over what could've been or maybes, Tiger." With a smile she said in a voice that seemed somewhat older, "You can't do it all. You're not Superman, you know."

STEVE, MARK, AND JAYMIE
Waiting on the others to make suggestions on where to go and what to do.

"Yeah, you're probably right," Bobby reached up and gave Alanis' hand a squeeze, "My parents are far more likely to be aliens than I am... which makes no sense now that I've said it out loud."

He shrugged, forcing a little grin as he flipped open the menu again, "Huh... faux grass. Is this a vegan place?"

Seb wasted no time, he had become accustomed to weird, unexplainable stuff like faeries and shadow people, but now he needed to collect a sample of this stuff for further analyses.

As he finished that he heard the sirens closing in on the garage.

"You just had to cause all this commotion while I was here, didn't you?" he sighed as he snuck off the grounds. Now all Seb had to do was actually find a donation box to dump all this money in...

SEBASTIAN
Sebastian was able to grab the specimens and get out of the scene before the police arrived. He managed to get back home with the unadulterated (He hoped) samples. Now just to figure out what to do with them. As he slid them under his desk in his room. Looking over, he saw an unfamiliar flash drive lying on his desk. Was his window open when he left?

BOBBY
Alanis nodded at Bobby's comment. When he asked about the restaurant, she smiled openly and playfully shoved his arm. "No silly. That means fat liver. I can't imagine you ordering giblets."

"Ewww, gibblets?" Bobby holds the menu like it's betrayed him, "Lets not and say we didn't, hmm?"

He pages through the menu. Onions, no thanks. Mushrooms, no thanks. Not entirely sure what that is, no thanks. Completely sure I don't know what that is, no thanks.

He flipped back to the start of the menu and started reading through it again. Seriously, what ever happened to steak and potatoes?

He glanced at his phone again to check the time then, put it back in his pocket, "So, excited about the comet exhibit?"

Seb grabbed a nearby cloth and held the device underneath his lamp. He didn't see any fingerprints, which disappointed him. Deciding that there was only one thing to really do, he plugged the flash drive into his laptop and hoped that it wasn't a bomb or something left by angry Russians.

Jaymie smiled a little smile to the lady as she walked away, content on her 'victory' and waited for her to be out of earshot. "Didn't know they had a fan club about us... that's kind of odd and cool at the same time..." she said with a smile. She turned to Steven "Hey Steven, I'm gonna borrow Mark a sec, something we need to talk about... Isn't that comet thingy up near here? We can meet up there."

Mark gives Steven a nod, and follows Jaymie where ever she leads. "Whats up, Hun?" He asks, praying he didn't screw something up.

Really sorry for small post, no ideas on how to beef this up at the moment

Steven Mason
HP: 2
Cnd: Healthy
Loc: Millenium Mall

Steven looked between the two love bird and nodded slowly. That was boyfriend-girlfriend talk for 'get out of here so we can suck neck' or maybe 'I need to chew this moron out'. Hopefully, for Mark's sake, it was the neck sucking. But he accepted the dismissal with his own brand of charm and grace as he snagged his basket of chili cheese friend and the soda he'd purchased earlier.

"Sounds like a plan. See you guys later."

After scooting his chair back to get some room Steven stood up and nudged the chair back under the table. Then he was off, meandering through the mall until he had finished off his fries. By the time he was discarding the basket they came in, into a designated trash recepticle of course, he walked to the museum. Museums and libraries weren't Steven's thing. They were too boring. But he was curious to see what kind of thing they for the cometeers. Hard to imagine it could be all that much. They hadn't been around very long.

BOBBY
Alanis nodded her head as she popped an appetizer in her mouth. Chewing, for a few moments, she swallowed and said, "I'm excited. Probably not as excited as you, and definitely not as excited as Shelby is."

"Shelby is excited about what?" the other boy asked as he took his seat, startling the young lovers.

SEBASTIAN
As soon as the flash drive was inserted, it began to automatically download onto Sebastian's computer. In a matter of seconds, a screen appeared showing a double helix rotating there. Several strings of DNA were highlighted and blinking. The computer sounded as if something serious was running in the back ground. The light on his desk dimmed slightly for a few seconds.

STEVEN
There was a slight line to get into the museum but not much of one. The exhibit WAS after all rather popular. The signs outside the museum showed the comet strike. It showed the small black form racing toward it, and then the explosion afterwards. There were images of various cometeers in Liberty City and Victory City. There was a small inset video of the Battle at Bales' Point. It looked like the video was taken from the helicopter that was closing with the fight.

Leaving Mark and Jaymie's conversation to them.

"Sweet mother of...!" Bobby nearly jumps clean out of his chair then gives Shelby a wide eyed look, "I'm going to put a bell on you. So you don't give me a heart attack. You bloody ninja!"

Bobby lets out a long breath as he get his heart rate back under control, "Alanis was just saying you were excited about seeing the comet exhibit."

He took a sip of his water and couldn't help but wonder if Alanis was just going to it because she thought he wanted to see it. Of course he'd been going in part because he though she wanted to see it. He was only really interested in learning more about the cause of the cooling affecting the world, and that he could have got off the internet.

There was a chance the exhibit wouldn't even touch on it.

Of course there was also the much bigger chance that they were both just really going because Shelby wanted to go.

Either way it was all good. Got him away from his folks, away from any odd jobs somebody had dug up for him, and it was something new. It was nice to be out of Viking Bay for a change.

Well, it was nice to be out of Viking Bay as himself, for a change.

"Curious." Sebastian said flatly.

After a moment he gave a small smirk at the concurrence of events before himself. The strings of the deoxyribose nucleic acids were natures very own coding program, much like the program that was running on the computer at this very moment.

"I'm such a nerd."

He started going to work on the keyboard, trying to get a better analysis of the DNA structures.
