the 5 of you sneak through the tunnels, eventually coming onto a massive audience chamber, its floor almost carpeted by the crowds of crab people as they bask in the mjesty of their queen, who is guarded by those larger, black crabs

and, at the centre of the chamber, there's the machine, which in defiance of even basic engineering and physics seems to be partly made of black, metallic mud, globbed on by some of the attendant crabs

"Soon," the Queen crab gloats, "soon it will be ready, and the pathetic unshelled vermin above will know the cold, comforting embrace of the carapace..."

"Uh yes," a distinctly human voice pipes up from by the machine, belonging to the marlon brando lookalike, who for whatever reason is being forced to wear an unconvincing crab people costume, "look, are you sure you don't want your people to have multiple asses? because I know a lot more about that than turning humans into your kind..."

"SILENCE SCUM!" the queen roars, "You are only here because YOU have the knowledge of the inferior human genome, and will do as we command. If not, then your companion shall PERISH!"

at this, two of the big black crabs push around some weird... litlle monkey-guy in a hawaiian shirt, and the old man gets back to work without hesitation

Rachel shurgs and then casts an illusion at the Crab people.

and the arena floor erupts into chaos, as the crab people start fighting each other thinking them the illusory squid people
