Moebius nods in agreement with the general sentiment of the room. "It's possible this is just the final beachead of a failed invasion, manned by those too proud to retreat. It's also possible, even likely, that there is more to it than it seems, an attempt to consolidate a number of superhumans in one spot for execution or capture. In either case, it doesn't change that we have to go down there and take care of the last bit of this invasion, however obvious or concealed the danger may be."

He turns to the rest of the room. "What I do know is that we have all served honorably and bravely in the defense of this planet, even those of us for whom this is not their native land or time. While we must not become overconfident, I feel certain that this last obstacle will ultimately be no different than the other challenges we have faced and overcome, so long as we act as we have. Moebius notes Xiao seems to be uncomfortable in some way, and gives him a once over with his enhanced senses to see if anything is wrong.

In a flash, you arrive in the outback.

All around you are the debris of war. Fallen alien warships, the remnants of droids and Sharkticons, vehicles both human and alien alike.

Eventually you find your way to the rest of the heroes. They are all busy, dressing up wounds, getting their weapons ready, going over strategy. Daedalus is working on some large device that looks like a bomb, Raven and Blackwing are pouring over a map.

Off nearby, Divinos is busy making graves for the felled aliens.

"Looks like the gangs all here." You turn to see Hardcore, leader of the New York Sentinels and son of Doc Steele step up to you, "You guys ready to end this?"

Daedalus ignore you at first, then looks up. "Oh? Sorry Troy, I was in the zone there for a second. This is an EMP bomb, it will hopefully disable the droids for us. As they are now the bulk of the Invaders fighting force since your friends took out the Sontatan Factories."

It was the least he can do for those who shared the fate he'd expected to have prior to exaltation, to fall far and away from home, to be buried by ones enemies in a land where the names f your people would be forever cursed
