The group seems to come to an agreement about remaining friends after the club is closed. Alister continued to treat it more like a business arrangement, but some of the others were more keen on simply remaining friends. Hiro, Ryoko, Yukari, Terry, and Kaoru all agreed to the group’s decision. It was long after that the entire good went to bed. It had been a long day and for most of them, they were out like lights very quickly.

All players earn 2 Hero Points for the completion of the day. The reward for the competition is a +4 Bonus to Wilderness Survival Expertise. All human players earn 2 PP.

Gastly earn +2 PP
Cubone earned +2 PP
Sandshrew earned +1 PP
It has been stated Pikachu is not being kept, so he does not earn any PP's
Eevee earned +2 PP
Hoot hoot and Murkrow each earned +1 PP

You all know which pokemon you earned. I hope to see your profiles updated soon.

The next day, Hiro, Ryoko, and Yukari were all up early and showing off their newest pokemon, Ryhorn, Scyther, and Caterpie. Terry and Kaoru both looked depressed as they were the only ones not to catch a new Pokemon. Meanwhile Terry’s pidgey was giving Caterpie some unwanted gazes, while Growlithe simply wanted to play with the new Pokemon, and ran around pestering them all equally.

Reika and Jiyuu both seemed noticeably glum and hung out off to the side, whispering to one another.

When everyone was up, Ms Itou gathered the group and announced after lunch they would begin their trek home.

She continued to tell the group she was going to teach them all grooming techniques, which made several of the boys groan in complaint. Yet before she could start, the ground shook.

At first it was just a light tremor, and stopped for a moment before shaking again, this time more violently. It continued to grow until suddenly… A diglet popped it’s tiny little head out of the ground. “Dig!” It shouted.

(Insight DC 15, the Diglet is in distress.)

Henry felt the quake and realized the diglett was in distress but what else he meant he didn't have a clue. Could this little creature be the one causing this quake? He reached for his belongings and unknowingly shuffled everything around. He grabbed what he thought was Cubone's Pokeball, when what he really wanted was his Pokedex, not realizing he was holding Barboach.

Alister tried to brace himself as the ground began to shake. Looking around he saw lots of trees that could fall on him. if the quake got bad. While he was looking for a reasonably safe place to relocate to, in such an event, a Diglet popped up and called out. Looking to the pokemon he narrowed his eyes. One Diglet couldn't do all this, could it? Alister could tell it was in distress though. Maybe it was running from the source of the quake.

The sudden earthquake knocked Reuben off his feet. Caught off guard by the tremors, he couldn't think of much more to do than summon his Koffing and Eevee to watch the sky and forest respectively.

Insight=6 Still working on psyduck, should be done soon.

Sara grasps for the pokeballs at her belt when the ground begins to tremor, seriously hopeing the Onyx from the cave had not found their location. She stumbles a bit when the diglet pops up and says "Is that our grooming test?" She leans in towards it "I always wondered if that was fur or if it was actually made of dirt." She had been excited about learning grooming techniques, but it seemed those might have to wait.

She releases the grip on her pokeballs and steps closer "Hey little guy, what are you doing here?"

The ground rocked once more, and the diglett popped back under ground just in time for the ground to erupt, tossing rocks, ground, and sod everywhere. Emerging from the ground was exactly what Sara had feared.

The Onyx roared with anger as it rose from the ground. It glared and eyed the group, sizing up those in front of him. Henry instantly spotted the scar on his eye, and knew this was the same one.

But why was it attacking?

Mr. Saotome smiled a little as he saw the beast attack, he motioned to Ms. Itou, Reika, and Jiyuu to back off. He then motioned to his students, "Handle the situation." He announced in a calm tone.

Alister passed the insight, so he knew something was wrong. The moment the Onyx appeared he instantly summoned the pokemon. Which ever pokemon he chooses may attack right now. Roll initative for next round.

The rest of the players, this round is for summoning your pokemon of choice, and rolling initiative. Please, one pokemon per trainer. The NPC's will back off.

On reflex Alister had drawn one of the pokeball off of his belt and sent it flying in front of him. With a flash of light a Machop popped out of the device. He was wearing a little belt that Alister had fashioned for him the previous night, and on the belt was a shiny buckle that he wore with a measure of pride. Land in front of Alister the two foot tall Machop stood between him and the Onyx that rose out of the ground, his fists rising into a fighting stance.

Alister glared at the Onyx without having to look up at the large pokemon. There was something about the kid that made him seem bigger than he was. Hearing the teacher behind him, he gave a glance over his shoulder, then looked at those of his fellows that were standing in front of the Onyx.

"I think Onyx wants to test our mettle before we leave guys. Lets show him what we're made of."

Then, looking ahead once more he pointed up at the scarred Onyx.

"Smash him into pebbles Champ!"

Hearing Alister the Machop's leg bent to a half crouch, then his feet pushed off the ground sending him onto the Onyx's back. There he bunched up a fist and tried to slam it down onto the segmented rock serpent before he could get shaken off.

"Ma-CHOOOP!"

EDIT:

"Keep at him Champ. Chip away that stony hide."

Champ stayed on the Onyx's back after his initial punch. While the other pokemon started to spring into action the Machop was still pounding on the rock snake. His left fist had pulled back, and descended on Onyx's back as he tried to slam home a second Rock Smash before his oppenent could react.

"Cubone!" Henry announced as the wrong Pokemon exploded from the ball.

"Barboach!" said the fish, in return.

Henry glanced at his bag for only a second before he realized he could use this to his advantage. He had, after all, caught Barboach with the intention of using him agains Onix in the fist place. Not losing ground he shouted, "We got this, everyone! And we're going to do great, Barboach! Let's start with a Water Gun!" The young, class politician's words found resonance in his allies hearts.

"Bar-Booooach!" gurgled the new ally, blasting water from it's whiskered mouth.

Initiative (1d20+5=8)

Henry will use Inspire 3 to give all his allies a +3 circumstance bonus this round, which includes Barboach. This uses 1 hero point to activate and can only be used once per scene. (This will effect Champ's attacks NEXT round, before my turn begins. )

Barboach will use a power attack of 2, moving two of his bonus points from attack to damage. The attack is also doubled because it is super effective, so that's a +7 water gun, DC 27
Watergun (1d20+7=10)...
glad to see everything is right with the world...
Hero Point...
Water gun (1d20+7=16) which is a 26 with +10 to hit.

Her new psyduck had the advantage over the onyx but she felt that Night would appreciate a chance to try to redeem himself after the Scyther incident. "Night, I know you can do this" she yells as she releases the Hoot Hoot. "Hoooot" he cries as he circles the rock snake. "I know we don't do so well against rock types but weaken it with Growl." The little owl nods and growls right in the larger pokemons ear.

Reuben seems to be MIA at the moment. I will be setting the Onyx at PL 10 to start since its 3(4 if Reuben returns) on 1, and most of you have pokemon that are strong against Onyx. If it proves to be to high of a pl, I can either mid-battle adjust it, or come up with something else.

Init order is:
Hoot Hoot
Machop
Barboach
Onyx, DC 16 to hit. High Fort, Low Will, High Toughness, Low Dodge/Parry.

Suprise Round!

Alister's Intimidate of 20 vs Onyx's will power: 1d20+6=18 Failure by 1 degree

Machop swung a powerful fist as he lept at the giant rock snake, yet his powerful fist seemed bounce of the hardened shell of the rock pokemon.

With Weakness, DC is 24. Toughness check: 1d20+14=28, Then minus 2 for Demoralized. Toughness check is 26

Normal Round

Night rushes into action and growl's with all it's might at the might rock snake, yet the Onyx seems unaffected. The Machop takes another swing, but great rock pokemon shifts, knocking the pokemon off it's back, and forcing it to miss. The fighting pokemon however wastes little effort, easily catching itself and landing with grace. Next the newest edition to the Soil group launches it's attack. A powerful water gun! Finally a strike catches the Onyx dead in the face, knocking it back. The snake pokemon glares at the water pokemon, and roars with anger!

Hoot Hoot's Growl DG 16vs Onyx's Will 1d20+6=10, Sara gains a hero point as I am rerolling. A -6 to strength would pretty much destroy this fight. 1d20+6=25 Pass.

Machop misses.

Barboach hits, DC toughness 24: 1d20+14=22 Bruised, Toughness is at 13 now.

Onyx uses roar: DC 16 Will, Mind Control, Burst area, Limited to Entranced, Compelled, only. Limited to "Target runs away from the user"

Trying to shake off the shock of the Onix's sudden arrival, Reuben warily directs his Eevee to attack. He realizes after the fact that his Krabby might be better but Banquet had handled himself so well recently that it seemed like things would work out. That was until the Onix let out a mighty roar. Reuben started to reach for the pokeball to swap pokemon but the furry little pokemon held strong.

"Well, you seem to made of some strong stuff. Banquet, get ready to help the Barbroach!" The Eevee ran to the fish's side ready for whatever would be next.

OOC wrote:Sorry for the slow reply, been fighting my internet all day today.

Banquet (Initiative): 1d20+4=18
Banquet (Will): 1d20+4=17

Delaying attack until Henry's turn. If the roar is resisted, Eevee will use a Team Check to assist with the next attack. If the roar works on Barbroach then Eevee will just use Mudslap and attempt the Team Check later. I'll roll as appropriate as the turn wraps back around.

In the face of Onyx's mighty roar, the two foot tall Machop clenched his fists and raised them defiantly. Opening his mouth wide Champ hollared back at the Onyx to show that he could be loud too.

"M-a-a-c-h-o-o-p!"

Out of the corner of his eye Alister saw chef kid get into the mix, teaming up with Henry. That seemed like a good idea, given that the Onyx was so durable. Raising a hand he waved over at Sarah.

"Let's double up on him."

Meanwhile, Champ was looking pretty amped by Barbaroach's actually hurting the Onyx. Deciding that he should lead the charge, if HootHoot decided to team up with him, the Machop pulled back a fist and leaped at Onyx letting out a battle cry as he swung for the fences.

"That's right, don't listen to that, Barboach! Give him another blast of Water Gun!" Henry called encouragingly.

The fish Pokemon continued to pump water at the large rock snake, but then slipped deeper into the mud and disappeared from sight. The water seemed to have lost some of it's edge as it dampened the side of the Onix more like a spring rain on a boulder than a wave crashing through sand.

"Barboach?" Henry asked to the air, not knowing himself where his partner had gone.

"Alright, help out Machop!"

"Hooooot Hoooot" Night cries as he flies towards the fighting pokemon. He catches him in the air and pushes, increasing his speed and, hopefully, the damage it will do to the big rock.

Attack roll= 16 I think that raises Machops toughness DC by 2 right? Don't know much about team attacks.

Init order is:
Hoot Hoot
Machop

Barboach
Onyx, DC 16 to hit. High Fort, Low Will, High Toughness, Low Dodge/Parry.

No one runs in fear.

Machop's attack is 23, with weakness, it becomes 27.

Eevee and Hoot Hoot assist Machop each adding 2 to the toughness. new DC 31.

Onyx Toughness Roll: 1d20+14=21-1 for Bruised for a total of 20. 3 degrees of failure. So Staggered, and now Bruised -2.

Water Gun Misses

Onyx performs Rock Throw: Cone Damage 10 aimed at Machop, Eevee, Hoot Hoot

I suck at the moment, and dont want to describe the battle unfolding. -_- I can't wait to get you back to the school where I can just relax with story for a while, and not battle for a bit!
