Kerberos, aka Mark Hale, is the only surviving member of the Guardians, due to not being present when Destroyer struck. Counted as the second most intelligent man in the world, he owns several corporations and is an accomplished crimefighter, using powered armor and a variety of gadgets as well as good old martial arts. After the battle of Manhattan, however, he...simply snapped. After leaving a message saying that the death of all his friends was a direct result of superheroes showing too much mercy, he went to every single prison within LA holding supervillains and killed them. Only Hyena, one of his archvillains, escaped due to not being killable.

Question, in the above statement, I bolded the section that was kind of odd. Has Kerberos been cleared of the above charges, are the authorities not willing to bring him in, did he get amnesty because of his relationship to the Guardians, why is a mass murderer at large?

Because they cannot get him. The man is basically Iron Man/Batman combined. The police has tried to bring him in numerous times and they always failed. Plus, his alter ego, Mark Hale, has left. And then there are those who are not completely unsympathetic to what he did...many people in LA did at one point or the other, lose people dear to them because of supercriminals.

So if the police have 'tried' to bring him in, then there is an outstanding warrant for his arrest?

I get that being the only surviving Guardian the man is a living legend, but he has gone off the rails by murdering a dozen, probably more, people. Even if those people were super-villains, they were imprisoned legally. As his actions allowed Hyena to escape, and Hyena was part of an assassination attempt against the President of the United States and Dracula, a foreign dignitary. Therefore he is at least culpable to the attack in Washington DC.

Just curious if we have a mandate from Mayweather on how to handle him ...

Also, on another note, would Apex' communicator survive the Metamorph process? Not that he'd have hugely strategic, or well thought out comments just curious.

Yes, there is an outstanding warrant. Legend or not, at least on paper, his actions cannot be condoned. Reality, however, is a bit different. Some people have expressed their agreement with his new, radical position and while none of them held any office, it is very possible that a) the police have not been doing their job as they should have and b) even if they brought him in, a few judges would probably be very sympathetic...

If you could bring him in it would probably give you bonus points but there are no clear orders to that effect.

And yes, the communicator survives the transformation since it fits into Jack's ear in human form and Apex' ears are larger, not smaller
