I think that's pretty much all we need to know. Who's behind the attack? Who was the target? And why? Of course, odds are, even if it was a diversion, these guys don't know that. The most important question is the first one.

Honestly, even though it's been a problem, I don't mind splitting the party. Having 6 characters asking questions of the same person starts to feel really busy.

Exactly. This is an example of when it's okay to do a short party split for a specific task. Val and possibly one other pop away, ask some questions, pop back and not waste too much time trying to grill them too hard.

Trissa should go with Val for some good cop bad cop.
