That doesn't seem right. Since it didn't have a turn during the surprise round, it's not actually losing anything due to the stun.

If the Steel Serpent went before you did, it would lose an action. The fact that you got a surprise round gave you the free action that it didn't get.

Sometimes a high initiative is a disadvantage.

I am going to recommend we all spend 1pp after this adventure is over for a mystical "commlink" so we don't run into communication problems.

Kris will suggest he build something in character, so we can avoid having discussion in the open and also let us plan more directly.

I have no problem doing that. Doesn't the base have a commlink setup? Or are you talking about a backup to that?

the base and by proxy all characters does have a secure comm set u-p you guys can hear each other and speak quite nicely pretty well anywhere on the planet including atlantis and if you were there on the moon

the mystic set up would only be needed if you were sure youre comms were compromised

though kris could set it up with a ritual and Id just add it to the bases abiltiies.

Don't forget the base is moddable through Kris's magic and Hornets tech skills

So I could add Mental Link component to the existing comm system?

I think that would be good for combat situations. Maybe only short range, like within a few hundred yards of each other.

the base comm has not been compromised in the sense of Viper is listening to your every word, Aya made sure of that by triple deep encryptions. Add in that Delphi threw a few of her own inovations into the mix.

However because Aya had to effectrively shut it down to keep Viper from messing with it Comms are spotty.

And yes with a proper ritual you could add as a feature mental link via a magic such and such to the comm system, its basic technomancy which kris is aware of. Even if kris didn't he could find a technomage he trusted via the magical community to help him.
