maybe not one of the Arcane then. Playing the one good guy of an evil group is too played out for me. I think I'll go for an absorbing type.

D'oh! So it is - my bad. Hokay... withdrawn. (Sticks D.B. in his back pocket for later... :) )

Oooo, oooo, Crionverse game: I want in!

I've got two ideas:
Ser the Ancient: The only nice Serpent Man to come out of the lot, Ser (that's not his original name, he got given that by some people who once lived in the Caucuses) got out of there as fast as he could and has since been wandering the multiverse, occasionally returning to Earth to see what's up. Apparently he's immortal. He's seen it all.
Powers: Immortality is only in the form of Immunity (aging) and possibly some other similar stuff, no Regen. He's got a bit of magic, but the rest is badass normal skills, the most badass of which is knowing about stuff from all over the place that might be useful.
Personality: The old mentor type who's not a crotchety old fart or even out of touch.

Omni: AI is a Crapshoot. Fortunately for the Lor designers of this anti-Grue -- the Omega N-1, OmN1 -- the roll happened to be "teenager". Okay, maybe that's still bad. Standard story from there: robot/teen decides it doesn't want to be controlled, runs away pursued by government agents determined to get her back, and ends up on Earths at a convenient location where she can run into some good-guys. Fortunately the Lor are okay guys, so after the inevitable battle they were persuaded that she should do the hero thing and go to Claremont to give her time to "grow out of it".
That.........didn't happen.
Powers: Designed to counter what the Grue could do, Omni obviously has shapechanging powers, though limited to humanoid disguises and machine-type powers.
Personality: Teen girl. Hopefully she just needs more time to "experiment". And boy, does she ever.

I'm interested to get involved into this game, as I'm hoping to test out some builds I have created.

1. Adrenaline based Swordsman. His Adrenaline gives him enhanced strength, defense and agility and allows him to do ballsy things. However he has to keep the Adrenaline rush going, otherwise his powers will diminish.

More to come!!!

Ser is more of a "knowledge skill badass", but probably a good idea for other reasons.

Also she'll be funner to play.

On the other hand, the other allows for:

Ser: This reminds me of the Shrike-bats of Dromadon IX.

Charlie: Oooo! What happened there!?!

Ser: I'm having trouble remembering, there were a lot of causulties that day.

:)

Yeah, that's almost exactly what he's like.

But he's actually too difficult to do justice to with only 150 pp.

I'm having that odd idea time...
Captain Marvel style teen/Adult superhero character, except gaining his powers from the Egyptian Cat goddess Bast.
I think I know what I'm doing tonight ;~)

Sounds like we got a lot of great entries so far. From here on its first come first serve: Kreuz already has his character, As does Enigmatic one, and Yeoman has a space reserved (Plus he already has a character ready from a previous campaign). So the next three guys who get their stats up are in.

Background: Troy grew up in a little town on Texas. He worked nights and weekends at his father's store. His father shunned hi tech gadgets, saying pen and paper was the only way. Troy probably never would have learned about his abilities if it hadn't been for that shipment of computers by accident. Rather then have them shipped back, the company donated the discontinued model to the local school. Troy was tasked with delivering them.
As he unloaded the last of the boxes, some of the teachers had already begun setting them up, and there in that room, it was as if Troy had first opened his eyes and been allowed to see. He knew this was what he wanted.
Of course, he had to want it without letting his father know. He snuck around after school, using the computer labs as much as possible. His crowning achievement was winning a full scholarship for college. His father didn't approve, but Troy's mother convinced him it was for the best.
In college, Troy witnessed his first super-hero battle. Hundred of aliens in battle armor were attacking the city. It was awesome. During the cleanup, Troy managed to squirrel away pieces of the alien's armor. He quickly figured out how it worked and how to fix it. He put together his own shiny suit of armor to become the hero Technus.

Good reason I suppose.

Still, you can pick up PDF's of 2e on Drivethru rpg dirt cheap. The 2e core rules are only 10 bucks.
