I'm not sure why, but I thought we were using 3E Impervious. Huh. Might have to rethink some things about how I allocate Tony's Variable in the future.

T-man always uses 2e Impervious and Penetrating, so somebody can't build a character with 1 rank of penetrating and force a Superman level paragon to make a resistance check...no matter how unlikely failure would be.

IC seems awfully happy that you're now getting Temblor's name right ;}

At this point starting to wonder if the gods of rng just don't like us or if we're horribly outclassed.. of course the gods of rng could be there too ;)

Anything from the perception check?

What exactly is she trying to perceive? From the fluff text, what it sounded like to me was an Insight check, trying to determine an opponent's weaknesses (if any). It's almost as if Sally is trying to make an Assessment roll, but unless she has the advantage, she's kind of sol.

I'm curious what the Perception check was for? Was it in response to the one I asked the other group for? Because that was for just them as it was part of their situation.

I was thinking in terms of noticing that they all seem to have special pointy hats (some of them more obvious from the picture than others) and being able to start wondering what that might mean.

Of course, this might just be interpreted in that Salvage needs a special pointy hat too.. a handful of screws might work.

Ok, I can go along with that. Since it's pretty obvious the majority of the Crowns are wearing crown, the only one that it isn't is Temblor but that check is more than enough for his crown to be noticed.

TM- would you consider it within the realm of Salvage's variable to either:
a. 'own' the concrete around Gravitar and keeping him within her?
b. flow through the manmade environent after him?

Either way, I'm willing to spend inspiration to be able to get that idea.

Those two ideas don't really stay within Salvage's "recycled avatar" theme IMO.
However using an HP for inspiration I could see Salvage whipping out a few old beaten and battered looking shovel heads that are attached to an old car engine and drive belt to make a tunneling tool so that she could try and follow after Temblor. Basically using the variable to come up with Burrowing.

Happy Birthday CD (I know, you're probably tired of hearing it by now & I'm a day late - in this thread) but still I do owe you a present so have an HP.

Also that old battle axe wouldn't happen to have ranks in penetrating would it?

I keep telling y'all, we're supposed to come up short on this one...otherwise the big team-up can't really happen or at least isn't necessary. Losing is just difficult to stomach for players, even if it's temporary. That's one of the differences between RPG's and comics.

There's a huge difference between coming up short and coming up pathetic lol. I don't mind being the Worf everyonce and a while though.
