Oh, I think after what Red just learned, the first chat between her and Bedros is going to be... Interesting.

I added the Magic Wars entry to the settings thread which includes some of the details you may not have been exposed to, including Edrich's plan.

This is actually an idea I had for a separate game in the same world. I may start it up later, my SA Avengers game is not as appealing to me as I had hoped.

I would like to have the Interludes wrapped up by Wednesday so I can begin the next story.

The Council wanted a puppet Master Mage? Sounds silly. I can understand the reasoning though.

Well this was a once in en eternity opportunity. A new Master Mage who hadn't been trained or prepared by the incumbent. They figured this was there one shot to get control of the situation, and once they had control, they could keep it forever.

Now, even if they survived, the plan would have failed. Wraith would never led them control him; all the years of antagonism left him with an automatic distrust.

Yep...that is Wraith in a nutshell. He is a paranoid who thinks that everyone and everything is trying to control him. They couldn't have picked a worse candidate for the new Master Mage for their plans. That being said, once Stephyn relates to you and you become part of his "family"....there is no force in the universe that could prevent him from protecting them.

Yeah, that's one of the things about dealing with arrogant people; it's pretty easy to manipulate. Because even when they realize you are lying, a lot of the time they are to arrogant to think that they can't foil any plan you have cooked up. You let them THINK they are right, THINK they are winning, and even let them take credit for your ideas; and more often than not, you will get what you want and come out on top.

Fontaine essentially sacrificed all of his extra power because Red Hat hit him with Emotion Control to up his over-confidence. That's why he was surprised when he resumed human form. He thought he had limitless power only to quickly realize he was wrong. Sadly for him, his arrogance made him stay and fight rather than run away, like Anthy did.

Out of curiosity, would 'finding out what Medusa would actually want' be something that Ayshee could get Wraith to help her find out? (As a medium-term plot thing?) (asking both Wraith's player and the GM)

As for "what Medusa wants," I would let you decide what that is.

Actually getting that information involves the current ruler of Tartarus, Taurus. He's not what you would consider friendly, even to his children who just helped him fend off an invasion by Hela.

Mhe Bedros would be more apt to kick down the doors, pet Cerberus on the head, and then just march down to Medusas soul and drag it out.

mythic hero and all that.

Yeah, I think after Hela, the defenses have been beefed up. Even the four siblings would be horribly taxed to break in.

And as soon as he realized the goal, you would never find her.
