Re: [2E] Gulf Coast Guardians [OOC - closed]
If we had time, I would have tried to whip up a pschyic jammer to block telepathic messages. Just in case Psion went active and informed on us during the meet.
Maybe Victoria will be able to act as an early warning system and give us a heads up, and potentially a chance to knock him out, if he's about to be activated.

Waiting to see how Graft and Wraith respond.
As for Victoria giving an early warning signal, she can give you a 1 round warning.

You know, these are the times I really love being a GM. We are so "off script" right now, I actually get a chance to really explore NPCs and their motivations. Sometimes, NPCs are just throw away characters, but then players surprise me and I really have to dig into the characters and motivations to see how they will react to the new twists.
Awesome work, guys.

Sometimes surprising the GM can be a positive thing, sometimes it leads to head-scratching and looks of bewilderment
I'll be out of town Saturday and Sunday.

Re: [2E] Gulf Coast Guardians [OOC - closed]
That is a good question. How do you fake a mass prison break? Some ideas:
1.) Illusions would be one method.
2.) Contacting the prison and AGEIS, then rigging and elaborate mass impersonation scheme is another; wherein AGEIS agents and/or guards take the place of the various criminals.
3.) Again, work with the prison officials and AGEIS, but this time have them implant some kind of delayed knock out pill in prisoners. So when they get out, once the Grue are on their way the capulse/device/whatever can be activated and puts out the villains so they can be rounded up. Not even sure if that kind of gear is avaible though.
4.) Once more, contact AGEIS and prison officials. However, this time around its to see if they can recruit the villains to our cause. Tell the prisoners about the Grue invasion, and offer them some kind of deal. If they help fight the Grue and Omega they get time off their sentances or the like.
THough the more people involved, the more likely a Grue infiltrator would find out. So those last three probably aren't that great.

The team waiting in hiding for the Grue to leave once they've made the breakout and then working to contain it comes to mind, although there's a lot that could go wrong with that. Involving more people does present the problem you mentioned.

Since McGuffin is out for the weekend, everyone can assume he reports these actions back to the team over the commlink. You can make some plans and preparations based on the times I gave you.

Will be moving on tonight. Just need to know how you plan to approach the prison, and whether you will tyr to get there before or after the Grue.

I assumed in the post that the team picked up Graft on the way after the Marvel-Grues.

If both your characters have their hearts set on ghosting the Grue, you two can hash it out. Otherwise, and if time becomes an issue, Wraith can be our default.

No issue with it OOC either way. In character Tension feels frustrated.

Not really sure what you are missing either.
The Marvel-Grues goal is to cause a mass prison break. They want to cause as much chaos as possible prior to their invasion, and probably keep the superhuman population distracted, unorganized, and weakend.
They are impersonating AEGIS operatives to infiltrate the prison. Why not go as their hero identities?
The warden and staff of the prison are expecting their arrival. If the prison was infiltrated already, would they need to dress as AEGIS operatives - or even go there at all?

The warden is expecting them. Or AGEIS Agents. Curiosity beckons with "why?". It may suggest how they plan to kick off the prison break, and we could potentially take measures to minimize it. That's what I was thinking about.
