Yeah I'm a big fan of the Knockback as Complication idea from the 3E GM's Guide. Do what sounds good narratively and give a HP if it causes a problem.

Be perfectly honest ive almost defaulted to that idea myself in HU. its sometimes easier to just cinematicaly describe the effect and then let the characters react.

I agree. Cinemantic Knockback works best, unless you map out everything. I get that there are some powers where Knockback is appropriate, and if somebody paid points for it, they should get a reasonable effect; however, like Champions, knockback is uaully an after thought for me.

Welcome back CelticREI! Glad that you are alright.

OK Doctor Shock is starting to make me nervous now.

Actually, I was nervous before but now it's getting worse.

I'm pretty sure it's a Standard action to start a grapple even if the target is helpless. Then another standard to throw him.

Nominaly yes Id agree. but in this case the "object" is bound and helpless and stunned and unable to defend itself.

in that case its not really a grapple Id argue.

Also in this case the entire move is pick up, then fly up, then fly down and let go in one shot.

that said I could throw a grpaple check on there if needed. Id simply argue in this case that im effectively picking up a large heavy lump of meat.

If he werent stunned there would be ample argument that he would resist the attempt making him an unbalanced load and definately in need of a grapple for the shifting load.

I'm inclined to agree with catsi on this one.

With Mammuthus suffering from being Stunned, Bound & Helpless he's going to offer little in the way of resistance to Vindicator's grabbing him up and taking him for a ride. In the past I've ruled that a Stunned character automatically fails a grapple attack done on them so I'm ok with her doing all that in one action, though I will say that she has to Surge to do it.

I have to admit that that was one of the more difficult posts I've had to write in a while. I've got a feeling I'll have another coming soon though.

Double post, ack...

Was just rereading some of TM's 3e thread and the timeline, it's weird how some of the stuff is happening in the future compared to other games (and likewise some in the past compared to others) like Force Ops is currently Oct 31st, where as it isn't until Nov 10th that Susan pays the little vigilantes in Freedom's Knights a visit, and thus it isn't until after the 17th that Freedom League is over it's current story and Stryke can join because all the stuff in the epilogue of Freedom Knights... It's like TM is building a time paradox. ;p

It almost seems like I know what I'm doing here doesn't it?

Post coming.....to be honest I'm not sure how it's going to go over. A little nervous here, especially with me writing for K-9. I wish HH could have been here for this, it was all his idea.
