Extra Effort: Force Field, Extra: Range - Touch?

Post by Vortex » Fri Nov 04, 2005 3:08 am

In my last game session (I'm the GM), a player came up with the idea to use her Force Field on one of her teammates, using Extra Effort to raise the range to "touch". I found it an innovative idea (I'm encouraging the players quite some time to use more Extra Efforts) and allowed it on the fly but now I would like to hear some opinions:

a) is this legal?
b) does she have to constantly touch her friend or just to initiate the FF?
c) will it stop working like this after one round? (the normal duration of EE)
d) does the FF drop if SHE is stunned or if the protected comrade is stunned? (I think the former, since it's still HER power.)
e) while she uses her FF on others like this, can she still protect herself with it?

Thanks for any advice

a) Yep.
b) I would say yes.
c) It stays on so long as contact is held and the power is sustained.
d) If the character who is sustaning the power is stuned then it drops.
e) Yep.
I sometimes wonder if I've ever made a smart decision.
