I'm afraid that I have yet to do so and will probably wait until it's released on DVD. I prefer to watch Horror in the comfort of my own home, where I can keep the lights on and my eyes peeled for any monsters which may be attracted by the ambience . . .

I know these aren't exactly superhero drawings, but I thought you might like to see them anyway... I'm putting together some packages to send to different rpg publishers, and these are a few of the fantasy character illustrations I included:

Also a cowboy drawing, just for fun. It's a bounty hunter character from a cartoonist friend's comic book, Kochka, published over here in France by Paquet éditions.

Cheers,
Dan

A book I worked on a few months ago for Hero Games, Hero System Martial Arts, just hit stores, so I thought I'd post some of the illustrations I did for it:

Manga-style fighter (a first for me)
Image Gun-fu practitioners

Why one should never bother a Shaolin monk who is holding a big stick

The images here look sort of fuzzy (and cropped), so feel free to check out my blog for un-cropped versions of the drawings

More superhero drawings to come soon!

Here's a Batman sketch I finished last night for the Think Tank's March Art Challenge:

I don't think you should EVER have to apologize for resharing art. That's a VERY 1939 Batman. I love the Allred-style you use, able to make textures without doing any "scratchy" work. Plus, your mastery of gray scale is just a delight. Very clean, beautiful stuff.

Plus - big black werewolf packin' heat John Woo style - that's a win of the internets ANY time.

Been away for awhile but I thought I'd post a couple Green Lantern pics:

Although I'm not a huge DC fan, I've always thought the Green Lanterns were the coolest. The drawing of Alan Scott was done a few years ago (pencils and color by me, inks by Calamity Jon Morris), but I drew the Hal Jordan pic in my sketchbook yesterday and decided to post 'em both.

Thanks for looking!

Dan

As a long-time GL fan, it's nice to see your take on them. Love your young Alan Scott with the billowing cape.

I like the Hal Jordan as well. Made me think: wouldn't it be cool to see some of the recent GL battle scenes (with the scores of alien Lanterns from the various Corps rendered in this kind of classic style? Not that I'd ever ask you to work that hard (I imagine those multi-figure set piece battles are murder to draw) - just thinking out loud...

dirkgentry2000- thank you, Mike. I haven't followed the new Green Lantern books with the Black Lanterns and huge space battles, but if I had the time, I'd definitely be tempted to draw a huge splash page-style GL fight. In my book, the concept of the Green Lanterns/GL Corps etc is among the most interesting and innovative ideas to ever grace the DC Universe. Who knows, maybe if I can clear off my plate a little bit...

A few days ago I bought a Kuretake brush pen and decided to fill up a couple of pages in my sketchbook with it. Here are a couple pulp character sketches I came up with (The characters are from a new comic book project I'm getting ready to pitch):

Nice work, Dan.

I'm curious about what's going on with the arm on the guy with the suit -- guessing that's one of the plot points in the project? :)

Dan
you live in Tucson? You know Charlie at Charlie's Comics? What a small world! That's where I used to buy my books in the Old Pueblo. How's Charlie doing? :)
