Grrr....still not happy with the style.
I think I figured out what it is.... with Juggernaut I went alot from memory with Powergirl and Omega I used reference pix. I think I'll tear them both apart sometime this week(end) and redo them but for now see...

You've defintely recaptured the depth that made Juggernaut pop. I think you're right about not using a reference though. The human brain theoretically remembers features based on their extremes rather than their nuances that's the theory for why people recognize caricatures more easily than photographs. I think if you try to draw from memory you'll capture more of the "toon" elements.

Oh, and by the way, I don't use drawbacks in my game, just complications.

hehe... thanks. I'm still getting my style down to what I like alot.

I really like Juggy, Doc Metro is my 2nd fav, the other couple aren't the same quality yet. I'm narrowing in.

I may do more of the FL, I end up getting a wild hair now and then which leads to these things. :)

thanks for the thoughts though.

I posted this in another thread but it's some fun stuff I'm working on. Again, I'm more of a designer so it's my take on a cover for an upcoming game using some modified art mixed with my original stuff...

I'm a longtime Bruce Timm figure maker. I don't consider it illustration as much as constuction from alot of bits and parts I've made long ago as a toolbox. Then again the logos and such are always new.

This is my Timm style version of "the Magister" from the M&M Golden Ages. It rocked because one of my favorite forum artists DMAC used it to make his verision in his thread: http://www.atomicthinktank.com/viewtopi ... &start=345

Talon is my character from the exceptionally fun V&V campaign our Seattle gang is playing using M&M2e...
He's one part Nightwing, one part old man vulture.
This is him at current (age 64), out of costume and back in his costume as a kid sidekick to the Great Owl (who's behind him in the middle...

I did this for the game that I LOVED that didn't last because of player and group problems...
It was taking Savage World's "Necessary Evil" campaign idea and translating it to FREEDOM CITY. It's an awesome idea and you can see some of my initial work on our old wiki here: http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/NECESSARY ... EEDOM_CITY

Here's two of my favorite pix from my American Gods campaign...
They're both mock-advertisements for the game.

This is a photo of some props I made for our V&V game when I ran DAWN OF DNA, I changed the adventure a little making the original Pills into Bottled Water...
the name Clean Sweep bottled water was an idea of a forum member.
