Perhaps a Crossover with The New Watch as NPCs?

Rev, you have my sympathies. I just hope Mancer publishes that New Watch sourcebook he keeps talking about. . .

Hey guys, I'm back :)

Yep, I've moved cities, and started a new life in sunny Sydney. The Watch campaign is on a bit of a hold, but I do hope to finish the Out of Time scenario with the players by year's end. Not all the players will be interested in playing, but if I can get a core group going, I'll be happy.

As for my art, it's a bit slow at the moment. Other things have been taking priority (moving, relationships, bills, paying gigs, etc), but I hope to get back on board soon enough. If I can get an M&M game up and running here in Syd, then all the better, as I'll have new characters to draw.

I'm not sure if my new game wll be set in Federation City. My first instinct is to of course use my favourite location, but perhaps not use the players as members of the Watch. Perhaps a more street level game is what is called for. I'm also tempted to create another city, perhaps Emerald City or Paradise City to run the new games in.

Anyway, thanks for all the concern. I'm fine, and will hopefully be posting more often.

Cheers,

MANCERBEAR! It's good to see you back, old fellow. :D

(As to your dilemma regarding setting for new games, might I reccomend using one of the other Cities of the Watchworld? Federation has - understandably - been your focus, but since you yourself have moved, why not take the opportunity to move your focus to one of the less-developed Watchworld cities and expand upon it?)

Mancer, I'm sorry to bother you, but could I please ask for some clarification; Just what - and where - are Emerald City and Paradise City?

I understand that they're Australian Cities you've come up with, but just what are their major influences?

Not a bother at all, Libra.

As we all know, Metroplis was originally a metaphor for New York City, and using that convention, that's exactly what Federation City is for Melbourne, though located in a different spot.

Emerald City is a metaphor for Sydney. It is a darker city than Federation City, with more street level crime, drugs, gangs, and ghettos.

Paradise City is a metaphor for Brisbane and the Gold Coast. A glitzy tourist destiantion, it is tropical, bright, and loud, with many Japanese concerns, casinos, and holiday resorts.

Cheers,

So how's it rolling with "Age of Wonders"?

Having fun with it or busy with life?

Emerald City is the girl you really love, because Emerald City has you by the heart and by the... cape. She'll betray you, she'll have her own way and you'll spend the best years of your life trying to tame her, but you never can. She's unpredictable and you'll love her until she uses you all up.
