James Dawsey's Art Board

We have a lot of talented artists who frequent these forums. This is the place for them to show off their stuff.

The Colors and original concept for the design are mine (from a character concept by Jack Norris). The Inks are by Jesse Justice, and the original pencils are Denise Jones.

This is the first time I think I've worked with this many people to bring a character to life. Exciting!!

I love this guy's look. It reminds me of the old Manhunter series DC put out in the late 80's.

There was a conscious effort to emulate Marc Shaw's look, so good on you for seeing the homage! :)

I'm a big fan of that Manhunter, the art from that series really popped for me.

Alex Williamson and I team up yet again for Lockleann Sheeramanneth, from the upcoming Black Chapter!

Alex did the inks and pencils this time, I just colored. It came out with a very "80's" vibe, I think:

Because I cannot sleep, here's a piece from our upcoming "Challengers" project, which is actually a lead-in to a larger supplement.

This is Dreamweaver, a Playable character, written by Jack Norris.

Lines by Alex Williamson, colors by myself.

The final Challengers art is done and uploaded!

Safeguard, the Firefighter superhero! :)

Again, Line art by Alex Williamson, colors by yours truly. I had a lot of fun doing the Challengers, but for now it's time to pass that project along to layout and finish up more artwork before Gen Con. I'll try and post more Black Chapter art before the weekend hits...

I love this pic. :)

I love the character in the seat reading... you really don't see many who are wearing Spats anymore! I love that touch.
