Permanent Growth on animal Archetypes

Postby Crissa » Wed Jul 02, 2008 3:51 am

Permanent is usually a 0 Flaw on Sustained abilities.

Growth is a Sustained ability.

Is Permanent on Growth worth -1 or 0? Strength and Grapple only works when awake, you can't go through doors and into sewers and you still get your - to defense... But you also get Con cheaper.

I tried to figure it out with the animals in the M&M book, but it stumped me.

Permanent on Growth is effectively a +0 modifier (as the power has to be Continuous first, a +1 modifier to balance out Permanent's –1).

While there are advantages to being permanently big, there are also drawbacks (not fitting through doors or into vehicles not being the least of them). Overall, we figure they zero-out, thus the +0 modifier for Permanent Growth.
