Improved Critical Feat and Devices.

Post by Styrix » Wed May 21, 2008 12:34 pm

Can you use the points from a device to give that device improved critical? For example, if I have a device, magic trident, can I spend 1 of the device's power-points on the feat improved critical feat, usable only with that device?

That's a corner-case issue; since Improved Critical is, by definition, limited to a particular attack or weapon, it would have to be limited to that device anyway, so you're effectively getting the Device discount for nothing (since you couldn't use the feat without the device regardless).

So I'd say the GM would be quite nice to allow you to spend the device's power points for Improved Critical, and well within rights to ask you not to do so.
