Fading

Postby BlackDragon1200 » Sun Apr 06, 2008 4:42 pm

What was the rational behind making Fades a -1 Flaw and Total Fade a +1 extra considering if the two are combined they essentially create a +0 Flaw?

If a player wanted a character with an effect which disappeared after Xpp rounds shouldn't they get some kind of points break for that?

Thanks.

If you feel a cost-break is deserved, by all means grant one. However, generally speaking, the combination of Fades and Total Fade is +0 because it allows for self-sustaining effects that typically last for an entire combat encounter (e.g., Boost 10 that last for 10 rounds at full strength), a potentially cheap form of Continuous. Adjust to suit your own taste and game, however.
