Need help...well more a reference really.

Postby mortambo » Wed May 15, 2013 8:34 am

So, I am attempting to make a Doctor Who-ish character, and he needs a pretty tricked out headquarters.

Now the problem is that I know I've read more advanced rules on HQ creation, but for the life of me can't find them after poring over my books.

Can someone point me to the right book?

The Book of Magic has a few headquarter features you might be interested in. The main such being Dual Size; where basically you buy the interior size as normal, then add a feature point for each size category the exterior is smaller than the interior.

This supplement:

Had buried inside the book a headquarters called "Null Point" which "exists outside of the timestream proper." The HQ entry is complete with artwork and maps.

Also, the book "Better Mousetrap" (MIS5004) has "revised and expanded headquarters rules".

Not exactly. It only has a few new HQ features suitable for building a school.

What it does have is a section under vehicles, that suggests that a "Magic House" --an ambulatory domicile-- could be treated as a game master's plot generator rather than a character's equipment; if it's more the source of the adventure of the week than a convenient means of transport.

That would work for a TARDIS which delivers its doctor to where he needs to go, rather than where he wants to go.
