Problems with making a returning spear.

I'm playing a PL9 game. And my main power I currently have is a spear/lance. What I have so far is...

Lance of Longinus (Device, Hard to Lose, Restricted X2) 18PP
Strike 5
Penetration 9
Power Feats
Thrown, Indestructible, Extended Reach, Affects Insubstantial, Mighty, Improved Range

The problem I'm having is making it a thrown weapon that will return to the user without bloating the cost much. I've tried to make an array of it but that didn't seem to work. Adding blast to it made it to costly. Would doing and alternate power work some how?

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I'm stumped.

Quite honestly, the ability to throw the spear and have it come back to your hand is indeed Blast, although you can AP it with the striking. Incidentally, Indestructible would go on the outside of the Device.

Lance of Longinus (Device, Hard to Lose, Restricted X2, Indestructible)
Melee Strike [17 pp]:
--Strike 5 (Extended Reach, Affects Insubstantial, Mighty, Penetration 9)
AP: Thrown Strike
--Blast 5 (Mighty 4, Affects Insubstantial, Penetration 2)

Will cost you 16 [4 ranks of Hard to Lose Device at 4 pp each] + 3 pp (3 Device feats) for a total of 19 pp. At that, you still have another 2 pp you can spend on the inside of the Device.

I'll re-read the information over Alternate Powers, for some reason I didn't think that would work.
