How to make a zombie plague?

Animate Object 3/r
Touch Range -1/r
Independent +0
Total Fade +1/r
Contagious +1/r
Slow Fade for however long the zombies need to last. +x
Triggered (trigger on subject death) +1

Total: 4/r +x +1

Target infected, upon death, rises as an uncontrolled zombie. Anyone the zombie hits gets infected (on a failed save) and upon death rises as a zombie. And so on. :D

Does this work?

or Transform one thing into another thing Person into zombie. 3pp/r extra:duration2 -continuous. extra:contagious, flaw:range=touch 5pp/rank

Here is ProdigyDuck's solution, which I thought was really good.

Drain Constitution 5 (“necromantic infection” Power Feats: Incurable, Slow Fade 6 [1 day], Extra: Disease [+2], Linked – to bite [+0], Flaw: Requires Grapple [-1]) (17pp)
Linked – Regeneration 6 (Resurrection 6 [5 minutes]; Extra: Action – Reaction upon being Drained to 0 Constitution [+0], Affects Others [other only; +0], Linked [+0], Flaw: Uncontrolled Reincarnation [as infected zombie; -1]) (3pp)

I'd go with a Con Drain linked to a Triggered Summon.

I would link it to Transform instead.
It nice clean and to the point.
But ProdigyDuck's version is really more accurate and you can fine-tune it for speed of infection.

I would make it a package as I am planning for a Gamma World game (post-apocalypse mutant rpg)

The Zombie container is:
Immunity (disease, aging, poison, suffocation)
With Transform [mind] (raging desire to devour the living)
Extra feat; Rage x4
Poison (see below) [uncontrolled, touch]

Poison drains CON and INT (first ed)
Triggers the container upon reaching 0.

My personal game's tweak is that zombies are living nerve cells in a controlled but unnecessary flesh body that need to consume nerve cells to keep alive.
..so they go for the most obvious massive nerve lumps they can find. ;p

They are living and can run like in 28Days. But killing the body does not stop them. And the infection is treated like an poison ability.

I like the transform mind added on... otherwise the zombies will just stand there. Good old gamma world. Have fun with your mutant freaks :D
