Possible cheatytricks?

Postby Umbral Reaver » Mon Jun 25, 2012 9:39 pm

Would you consider it fair to use demoralise as a move action (possibly with the challenge feat to remove the -5 penalty) and then an attack as a standard action to effectively have a +2 DC with no significant cost? It seems to be built into the system as demoralise is a standard debuff, but applying the penalty reliably seems far too easy.

Well what do you consider "no signifigant cost?" Demoralize is a resisted check, so its not like it is an automatic +2. And this isn't that different from allowing Imroved Taunt or Improved Feint.

Yeah, I think the same thing. It's little different from feinting or taunting, which can give a +2 or often more, to attack, but with a resisting roll, and even as a move action, it's still fairly balance, especially if you're a melee type.
