Blast 8, Area Burst 60 ft, selective (only damages denizens of Dark Zone), limited (must be used by both Cures together, only when in Cure form), Flaw – activation (Move action)

These builds are for Cures around the middle of the first season. With Rainbow Bracelets, they are probably boosted to PL10, with increases in STR, STA, AGI and FGT, and Rainbow Storm added to the array. Storm I'm seeing as the Penetrating Line Blast 10 (not once was it dodged or resisted, only occasionally countered by Belzei and Juna)

“I’ll show you,” Kate said, and began removing things from the bucket. First came a Swiss Army knife, a flashlight, a pen light, and a bottle of extra-strength glue, which Kate examined to be sure its lid was tightly closed. Then she produced a bag of marbles, a slingshot, a spool of clear fishing twine, one pencil and one eraser, a kaleidoscope, and a horseshoe magnet, which she yanked with some effort from the metal bucket. “I’ve been through dozens of these,” she said, holding the magnet up for them to admire. “This is the strongest I’ve found.” Finally she showed them a length of slender nylon rope coiled around the bottom and sides of the bucket.

Duty - No matter which grave danger faces Camelot, Lady Ellara's bath must be ready at exactly 7 o'clock, or else.

Background

There was a young lady in Camelot, by the name of Ellara. Regrettably, not much can be said of her - Ellara was good-natured, true, and rather jolly a person, but quite shallow and not particularly bright, unfortunately. Indeed, her personality made her prone to being tricked, cheated and swindled - and she would probably lost her fortune and her reputation both many times by now, if not for a certain servant who tended to the lady since they both were young children, a maid named Candice. For her skill and diligence, Candice was often praised and rewarded by her lady - but for her level-headedness and composure, she got rewarded hundredfold by the powers that be, as she was granted the mantle of the maiden of Temperance. Undoubtedly, should Ellara, who is fascinated by the deeds of the Maidens of Camelot and dreams of being chosen as one herself, learn of that, she won't take it lightly...

Nothing wrong with the math.
One way to solve your problem, is add a Senses 4 (Penetrates Visual Concealment) linked with the effect. Making it one Power.

You could make your Immunity to Will saves a 1/2 save flaw, freeing up some points to add that in. And add some other things to it.

Your DEX is really high, which isn't a problem in itself, but the only thing DEX is doing for you is adding to your Ranged Attack, which you could just buy directly as the Ranged Attack Advantage for half the cost of DEX. Alternatively, you could give the character some DEX-based skills to make it worth it. On the other side, you could buy more ranks of AGI and get a higher initiative effectively for free.

As for shooting around corners, as JD pointed out you can't target something you can't see (or perceive with an Accurate sense), so having a sense that Penetrates Concealment is for that, possibly with a Limit on it since you may not be able to get as much visual information as if you could actually see through walls. That and one rank of Indirect should be sufficient to shoot around one corner. Of course, you could just make True Shot a Perception Ranged effect, so that combined with the Pentrates Sense you could just hit the target around a corner without even rolling, but then you'd be limited to PL and couldn't use tradeoff maneuvers like Power Attack.

Piercing the Shadow as written should be DC20, so I assume you had a different rank for it at some point.

And I agree with the half-save for Will. Resisting half the effect is pretty powerful, and the more powerful the attack, the more effective it is. Another inexpensive way to be resistant to particular Will-based attacks would be Second Chance: define an attack (eg Emotional Control attacks) and for 1p you can get a second roll against it and take the better of the two results.
Sorry, I can't hear your argument for realism over the sound of my eye beams. :P

Thanks Joshua, thanks JDRook!
Yep, Piercing was upped at the last moment; also, you're right, Dex should be definitely traded for Ranged Attack... She's no use for Sleight of Hand, nor Vehicles... the latter being not really appropriate in medieval setting :-)
As for half-immunity thing, I'm not sure... sure, it frees 15 points (is it works like that? Since Immunity is 1/rank, and Half-effect is -1/rank, does it become 1/2 ranks?), but then I'll have to boost Will to compensate...
And I definitely need to think about ways of seeing the targets, you're completely right... (I considered a Perception damage for True shot, but, yeah, without power attacking isn't really worth it. By the way, can I combine Power and All-out in one attack, effectively trading defence for effect?

Not necessarily. Driving wagons or chariots and piloting boats or ships would be governed by Vehicles, I think.

I've also seen that as the way to handle various riding type skills.

Vehicles seems to be used, as far I've seen at least, as the catchall, controlling moving things that aren't part of your body. Wow, that sounds generic ;)

Yeah, that's how it would work, so it really is half cost in this case.

jamieth wrote:but then I'll have to boost Will to compensate...

Not necessarily, but you could. Your high AWE gives you Will 5, and in a PL10 setting your average opponent-of-consequence will have rank 10 attacks. So half the effect on a Will-resisted attack would be equal to 5 ranks and you would fully resist that with 5 Will about half the time.* Buying up your Will to even 8 ranks would give you better than average successes against even the most powerful attacks one should expect in a PL10 setting.

*That would be for non-Damage Will-based attacks, which would be DC10+effect rank.

That's a pretty common move, although I'm not sure if there's an official ruling on that. Most GMs seem to be cool with it. Of course, a crafty GM with cunning opponents for you will wait until you pull attacks like that and hit you when you're wide open. In fact, if they don't, they're doing it wrong.

Take out the word "moving", and that's actually my working definition of Dexterity.
Sorry, I can't hear your argument for realism over the sound of my eye beams. :P

Hm, no matter how I think of it, that half-immunity seems kinda pointless... with typical attack on PL 10 being effect 10, it saves you 5 points of save DC, effectively the same as +5 Will. Except +5 Will is 5 points, not 15... it's hardly worth it...
