The Forge [3E] StarWars: Jedi Scholar, Guardian, and Healer

Postby HustlerOne » Mon Sep 26, 2011 1:07 pm

Welcome to my 3E builds! My designs tend to focus on Devices, Creatures, Constructs, Headquarters, Minions, and Vehicles. I love science fiction. So my builds are mostly from that genre. Some of my builds are still under construction.

Note that I have a house rule of using the rules for the Impervious extra from 2E. The Impervious extra is not cut in half.

I also have some 2E builds. So come check them out as well. Here's the link.

I also have to thank all the various Wiki's on the internet that provided the info and pics for my builds.

Jaffa Guard

PL: 5

Abilities: Str: 1/3, Sta: 2/3, Agl: 1, Dex: 1, Fgt: 2, Int: 0, Awe: 0, Pre: 0

Powers: Symbiote Benefits:

Enhanced Str 2 (4),

Enhanced Sta 1 (2),

Feature 1 (Longevity)(1),

Immunity 3 (Disease, Need for sleep, Radiation)(3),

Regenerates: Regeneration 1 (1)

Advantages: Close Attack 3, Equipment 5, Trance

Equipment: Ma'tok Staff Weapon: Ranged Damage 8 (Flat: Diminished Range 1)

Alternate Effect: Damage 2 (Bludgeoning)(16ep),

Jaffa Armor: Protection 5 (5ep)

4 equipment points for other equipment

Skills: Athletics 4 (+5), Expertise: Soldier 4 (+4), Expertise: Tactics 2 (+2),

Intimidation 4 (+4), Perception 2 (+2), Vehicles 2 (+2)

Offense: Initiative: +1, Unarmed: +5 (Damage 3), Staff: +1 (Damage 8 )

Defense: Dodge: 2, Parry: 2, Fortitude: 5, Toughness: 3/8 (with armor), Will: 2

Abilities: 14, Powers: 11, Advantages: 9, Skills: 9, Defense: 5 = Total: 48

Complications: Addiction: Symbiote Dependency, -1 Sta loss per day without it.

Powerloss: Kel no reen, Trance for 1 hour required or immunity to sleep
and regeneration lost.

Notes: The Jaffa are the stormtroopers of the parasitic alien Goa'uld. They
are the red shirts of the stargate universe. They are powerful and tough.
Their unwieldy staff weapon makes them poor marksmen. Also their bulky armor
lowers their ability to dodge.

The Jaffa use brute force and intimidation to sow fear amongst primitive
cultures. They are unaccustomed to more modern soldiers such as SGC marines.
The tactics of the Jaffa are rather simple and consists of wave attacks.
This leads to vast amounts of casualties for them.

The Jaffa can make use of other equipment such as Zat guns and shock
grenades. The Jaffa armor might have the Flaw: Limited protection
against ballistic weapons. This could simulate how SG-1 are able to mow down
mobs of Jaffa.

Some free Jaffa later become allies of Earth (such as Teal'c and Bratac).
They come in handy as red shirts showing how dangerous a new bigger enemy
can be (such as the Kull Super Soldiers). The Jaffa go on to form their
own Free Jaffa nation free of the Goa'uld once and for all.

Name: Death Glider, Strength: 8(0), Speed: 12(24), Defense: 6(10),

Toughness: 10(1), Size: Huge(2), Cost: 74, Features: None

Powers: Communicator: Communications 3 (Radio, Flat: Subtle 1)(13),

Scanner: Senses 3 (Accurate, Extended 1 radio [radar])(3)

Weapons: Staff Cannons: Ranged Damage 10 (Feature: Detachable)(21),

Notes: The Death Glider is the primary starfighter of the Goa'uld. It is
equivalent to a modern day fighter jet. This is because the Goa'uld rarely
take on civilizations with any semblance of a air force.

It can fly in space and even underwater. Swimming underwater is really
a power stunt. The Death Glider was not built for long periods underwater.

The Staff Cannons are detachable. They can be used by infantry as a heavy
weapon.

Captured Death Gliders will form the basis for Earth's own space fighter:
The F302 Fighter Interceptor. This eventually helps even the odds for
earth's fight against the Goa'uld.

Name: Tel'tak Transport, Size: Gargantuan(3), Strength: 11(-1), Speed: 8(16),

Defense: 4(10), Toughness: 11(0), Cost: 93, Features: None

Powers: Cloaking Device: Concealment 5 (All visual senses, radar)(10),

Communicator: Communications 4 (Radio, Flat: Subtle 1)(17),

Hyperdrive: Movement 2 (Space Travel)(4),

Scanner: Senses 4 (Accurate Extended 2 radio [radar])(4),

Transportation Rings: Teleport 15 (Extras: Extended, Flaws: Medium)(30)

Weapons: None

Notes: The Tel'tak is a goa'uld shuttle used to transport cargo and people.
It is unarmed since it is a civilian ship. It is so ubiquitous that numerous
groups use it. It is most often used by the alien Tok'ra who are distant
cousins of the Goa'uld. The Tok'ra (and later earth) use it to insert spies
and for reconnaissance purposes.

Later versions carry energy shields. See the Alkesh bomber entry for an example.

Carries 25 passengers and 35 tons of cargo.

Complications: Addiction: Symbiote Dependency, -1 Sta loss per day without it.

Notes: Ashrak is the Goa'uld word for hunter. They are highly skilled jaffa trained
for infiltration and assassination. They specialize in subterfuge and close quarter
combat. They also heal their wounds slightly faster than normal.

Teal'c once mentioned their frightening capabilities from a legend. Supposedly a
intentionally collapsed mine filled with a Jaffa squad became trapped with an Ashrak.
When the mine was reopened there was only one survivor. That survivor was later found
out to be an Ashrak. The Ashrak came to be feared amongst the Free Jaffa, Torkra, and
other enemies of the Goa'uld.

They were created specifically to annihilate the enemies of Anubis. They act as
shocktroopers and kill anyone in its path. They were bred to be the ultimate soldier.
They can destroy whole armies of Jaffa and even take on the modern SGC soldiers of
earth!

They are not regular minions since one Kull SuperSoldier can even take on the heroes
of the Stargate Universe. A freaking Missile was launched at one at point blank range.
The Kull super soldier that it hit was able to survive and continue on it's merry way.

It is built like a tank with modern Kevlar armor. Their energy shields do not have
the usual weakness of allowing slow projectiles and melee weapons to get through.
The plasma repeater combines the best of both worlds of the weaponry of the Goa'uld
and Earth. It has nearly the same firepower of a staff weapon with the firing rate
of a ballistic machine gun!

Thankfully they do have a few weaknesses. First they are single minded and will stop
at nothing to complete a mission. It will not engage unless it is attacked or somebody
gets in the way. Anubis also did not want a soldier that could think too much on its own.
Anubis grew distrustful of even his own Jaffa and decided to almost completely replace
them with Kulls.

Name: Ha'tak Mothership, Size: Awesome(5), Strength: 23(3), Speed: 5(10),

Defense: 0(10), Toughness: 15(0)/ 18(Impervious 15 with shields), Cost: 184,

Features: Hangar, Holding Cells, Living Space, Personnel, Power System

Powers: Communicator: Communications 5 (Radio, Extras: Area, Selective,

Flat: Subtle 1)(31),

Hyperdrive: Movement 2 (Space Travel)(4),

Powerful Energy Shields: Sustained Protection 3 (Extras: Impervious 15)(18)

Scanner: Senses 8 (Detect Ships exiting Hyperspace 2, Accurate Extended 4 radio [radar])(8),

Transportation Rings: Teleport 15 (Extras: Extended, Flaws: Medium)(30)

Weapons: Naquaddah Bombs: Burst Area Damage 15(30),

High Powered Staff Cannons: Ranged Damage 15(30)

Notes: The Ha'tak is the principal warship in use among the Goa'uld. It is a combination
of a battleship, carrier, and troop transport. It is used when a advanced civilization
needs to be destroyed instead of conquered. Earth's civilization in one alternate
universe was destroyed just by two of these ships. Sometimes orbital bombardment is used
to merely frighten the planet's inhabitants of more primitive civilizations.

A Ha'taks firepower is enough to penetrate the defenses of the SGC Cheyenne mountain
complex. Powerful energy shields can protect the Ha'tak from even Nuclear Missiles.
Use the Submarine's ballistic missile stats from the M&M handbook for Nukes. It can
also fly in the atmosphere to act as a aerial carrier.

Goa'uld invasion plans are pretty straightforward and direct. The Goa'uld simply
parks in high orbit above the planet. Then proceeds to bombard the planet until
all traces of opposition is crushed. Death Gliders and Alkesh Bombers are sent to further
soften up defenses. Only when it is deemed safe enough will the Ha'tak itself land on
the planet to act as a headquarters for a ground invasion to mop up any stragglers.

Some Ha'tak's later fall into the hands of the Free Jaffa. The free jaffa nation
goes on to use the Ha'tak mothership for their own fleet.

The Ha'tak mothership can carry 2,000+ Jaffa Troopers and 200,000 tons of cargo.
It's hangars can carry 12 wings of Deathgliders and 3 wings of Alkesh Bombers.
A wing consists of three vehicles.

Out of curiosity would the ship in the original Stargate movie be an Alkesh?

That ship was the personal flagship of Ra. I believe it was an older class of the Ha'tak mothership.
It looks like the more modern Ha'tak has a upgraded structure around the original pyramid ship that Ra used.

I'm going to take a break from the Stargate setting for awhile. I want to try some other settings for a change.

I'll get back to it when I become interested in it again. Still if anyone is interested I'll finish up what I started.

Complications: Enemy: "El Blanco" Graboid

Notes: Burt Gummer is one of the main heroes of the Tremors movies and TV Series.
He was described as a crazed paranoid rightwinger redneck psycho. That pretty much
describes him. He is a firearms and survivalist enthusiast. He soon becomes adept at
hunting down the gargantuan underground creatures known as Graboids.

Burt has access to every legal firearm since he has a gun wall collection in his basement.
It's actually ironic that most of his guns are in fact useless when it comes to graboids.
How do you shoot through dirt? This forces Burt to rely less on his guns and use creative
ways to lure Graboids out of the ground. He soon comes up against other monsters in later
Tremors movies and the TV series.

He has a particular albino graboid named "El Blanco" as a nemesis. Think of El Blanco as
the Moby dick of the Graboids.
