'ello folks!

Wee bit new to the place and I'm gonna be putting up some builds that are rolling around in my head.

This thread will likely be a slow one, with periods of insanity being thrown to a wall (otherwise known as insomnia kicking in and I build like 10 characters in a single night).

I tend to make PL10 characters when I'm just making a character for fun so expect many of the characters on here to be PL10. I'll note what PL they are next to their link to make it easy on folks as well.

Behind the Character
A re-write on Trish, taking her from a skin-changer with the ability to mimic powers into something more like Beast Boy from Teen Titans. She is able to morph into just about any shape, from animal to machine to human to objects like chairs. The only thing is she always has a red coloring to her (in the form of hair, fur, scales, or in the case of objects normally the whole thing is red) and if she has eyes they are deep dark jade green. The Shapeshift 1 is mainly so she can gain powers that fit her form, flying for birds, swimming for fish, climbing for apes/large spiders/her turning into spider-man, that kind of thing ;) Her Regeneration is to show that her body is always making new cells and healing its self, even to the point of bringing her back from the dead! Her Quick Change as a Power means that much like Morph and Mystique from Marvel, her clothing, outfits, anything she 'wears' is actually her forming her 'skin' into the cloth. At first she had trouble making her 'clothing' anything not red or green but after a lot of practice she can copy just about any color now.
She has a wig and colored contacts collection that allows her to slightly beat her disability to change her hair and eye color though it requires some forethought on her part to have the right stuff with her. She normally has a shoulder-length Blonde wig and set of blue contacts on her in her purse for emergencies.

Background:
Jeska was a normal (well normal for a pagan who was not quite in reality all the time) young adult going to the Colorado School of Mines (Applied Science and Mathematics) until that fateful day that the Wildcard virus was unleashed. She was on 16th Street Mall when the plane crashed and nearly crushed by some falling debris had it not been for her power kicking in at that moment and floating the rocks and stone down to the ground, she promptly fainted moments later. When she woke up she found out all about Ace's and Joker's and the Wildcard virus from her doctor; who by the way was telling her that she tested positive for WC, Please sign these forms so we can be protected should you flip out and kill someone.
Life wasn't as normal since then, everywhere she went people would stare, even more so then before (she has always been a 'loud' dresser). She was forced to quit the Mines; stating that WC's couldn't attend classes even if they were an Ace and not a Joker, her boyfriend broke up with her; stating she was a freak now and he couldn't deal with a 'real' freak (instead of the 'freaks', as in goth/punk/etc, they used to call themselves), even her mother and father weren't returning her calls... After losing her apartment (again, WC's weren't welcome) she had enough...
Jeska checked into a Red Lion Hotel near DIA and planned to kill herself that night. A simple razor and two slashes on the wrist later and Jeska is rethinking this plan... but so much blood already lost... she cried out in anger, pain and frustration and that is when the roof came down, Literally. The weight of her pain forced her powers to evolve a bit more and with that spike of power she was able to increase the gravity of the top 3 floors (she was on the top floor) by 500%. She slowly was able to float out the window and to the ground before paramedics were able to reach the half collapsed building, they took her in and were able to save her life, but at what cost... hundreds injured an estimated 75 dead...
It was while she was in the hospital that someone from Killenbrooke International approached her. He told her that it would be easy for the police to put Jeska with her abilities (which were on file, by the way) and the Red Lion collapse together eventually. The organization he represented could help her, not only with her powers, but also with a job of sorts and they could make sure she didn't get the blame for the hotel.
Taking her own codename of Raven (as she can do some of the stuff the Comic Book character can do, and it sounds cool), Jeska started working freelance for Killenbrooke International.
Behind the Character: wrote: Jeska I made to be a fun way to look at Space powers, mainly Gravity with a bit of spacial movement (Teleport and Dimensional Pocket) mixed in. Her Flight attack (What Goes Up...) I made to simulate her not only releasing Gravity on someone but throwing negative gravity on to them as to shoot them into the sky. How they get back down is normally not pretty.
Her Emotion Control is something that will get more interesting as time goes on. First it is this odd fascination that folks have with her, wanting to "stare at the abyss" is what I was going for, and later on she is going to get a Fear or Madness type effect tacked on to it (Doctor Who fans will know what I am talking about, just remember Satan Pit hehe).
Her Teleport was a tricky one for me, I want her to be able to -really- move acting as a form of transport for the team, but not in a "*poof* we're now anywhere in the world in only 3 seconds." If the range is a bit far I'll edit it to a lower range. I also made sure it takes her a while to do it, taking 5 minutes to 'port means no quick getaways. Her lower Teleport is Personal only and won't get any bigger then maybe one more rank.
Rabbit out of a Hat is a fun one, she can access her personal 100 lbs space from any pocket, backpack, fanny-pack, etc. But the thing is she can't turn it off... If she reaches into any pocket/backpack/etc she is reaching into her space and not the pocket/backpack/etc. To help with that I put the limited flaw that no Animate things, only inanimate objects

Background
Lyn was born to no one special, worked in one of many plants when she was old enough to work and had drinks after work with the guys. Pretty normal life. She has no memories of the last few years, either because they were stolen, or she was too drunk to remember them.

(Thus leaving the GM with all the sneaky plot holes he spoke, I mean... wants/needs)
Behind the Character:
I made Lyn about a year or so ago for a Final Fantasy RPG game (she was a Monk) and then started to transfer her to 2E for a fantasy-type game (on RPG.net) which I never got to join.
In this version she is a Semi-failed Super-Soldier, the process working except something in her body didn't take so her enhanced abilities are not always active. How she is able to activate them is via drinking, the alcohol triggering the Serum to not only work, but run on near overdrive (by it boosting her physical traits to nearly High Superhuman)
One of her original inspirations was watching Jackie Chan in Legend of the Drunken Master. The second being me learning the Drunken Immortals forms in Shao-Lin.

Er, unless I'm missing something I think some of your numbers there might be a little off.

Fighting 12 + Close Attack 8 = Attack Bonus 20
Strength 12 + Chain 10 = Damage 22
That's a PL 21 attack.
Also, that's a pretty powerful piece of equipment. And it'll break the first time she uses it (Strength-based melee equipment breaks if the wielder's Strength exceeds its Toughness--7 or 8 for a metal weapon).

Fighting 12 + Enhanced Parry 5 = Parry +17
Agility 12 = Dodge +12
Stamina 12 = Toughness +12
That's PL 15 defensively.

I made the chain for when she doesn't have her Enhanced powers (ie when not drunk) though I didn't know about the breaking bit. Maybe I'll just remove the Str based mod.

Same for the Defenses, they go over when she's drunk, but they fall back down to PL 10 or below when she's sober.

Thanks for the catch about the chain breaking! I totally spaced that one heh *goes to reread the book a bit*

Quick Edit: I should probably make notes of that in her sheet... lol about how she is when not under the influence.
Edit2: And there we go, updated her to show how she is when not drunk. The Fighting Chain really is just a way she has decent stats fighting Supers until she can get some booze heh

Jeska has been very "lucky", born on a bad omen (to some, to some a great omen) day (Friday the 13th) under an inauspicious star she didn't seem to have a very good start. To make matters more interesting she was born a known metahuman; her eyes are black globes with speck's of white dotted within, if one looks close enough and long enough they will notice it is a galaxy seen from afar kept inside those peepers. (While both eyes show the same galaxy, the galaxy shown has changed from time to time.)
Her parents tried their best to raise her as a normal child, though some times when all the objects in her room were floating as if in zero gravity... it was difficult. As such she was a sheltered child, Jeska was kept under lock and key in her room and given books to learn the world, mainly history books. Jeska learned English and Japanese from her parents as well as the phonic books she was given, she learned mathematics and basic algebra from counting the stars she saw from her room window through the security bars. Physics she took to without really reading about it, it just felt...right. She kept this existence until she was 16 years old; that's when the Displacement first happened... Gazing up at the stars on her 16th birthday Jeska wished she could go out there and touch them, she closed her eyes and wished very hard... to open them and find she was outside somewhere she didn't know.
At first she was scared, she had never been outside before! What about wars and diseases and plagues and all the other stuff she read about? Then again... what about all the good and cool things she read about?... Jeska said a quick prayer to her parents and ancestors, hoping they would forgive her and then she started walking. (Her parents debated for months about what to do, but they did not know Jeska was even alive, much less outside, thus they were thankful to not have the weirdness in their life anymore.)
Exploring the outside world was very fascinating to Jeska, she knew not of this thing that people seemed obsessed over, this "money" or how to gain some. She slowly learned that if she did tasks and helped others they would give her money, then she would go to a "store" or a "restaurant", give them the money and they would give her food. She also could use the money to gain new things to wear and to stay on a bed. She wondered if her parents had to do this...
One day, about a year after she left her parents, while she was helping out a store clerk for some food *skipping the money and doing work for food, why hadn't she thought of this before?* a man came into the store and was pointing a gray object at the clerk, yelling for him to give him money... Why would he have to yell? He could just help a bit then the clerk would give him some money, maybe this person was like her and he didn't know how to do the whole help for money thing... She walked toward him and started to explain when the man turned quickly to her and the object he was holding made a loud sound. Jeska was scared by the loud sound and ducked down, the man holding the loud object was holding his neck now... and there was this red stuff, was that blood? He had been hurt! She rushed to get some bandages, she knew they needed them for injuries but not how to use them. There was also a woman in the back of the store, her arm had blood coming from it... (OOC for players/GM: She redirect/ported the bullet, it winged the gunman's neck and embedded in the woman's arm) After being told by the clerk to not come around anymore Jeska left.
It was another year when she started learning not everyone could move things by concentrating on them, or make large movements in the blink of an eye. She started to learn how to control her odd abilities, going to a place that many people went to sleep a... hotel, yes hotel was the word. She knew she could make things float and sink also move toward her and away from her. She started practicing moving things toward and away, up and down, toward-away, up-down, away-toward, down-up until she was nearly exhausted. Wondering how much she could push down she got out one of those boards that tell an objects weight... a scale, yes Scale... like a fish but not. She started pushing on the scale, quickly having it loop once then twice and then... the ceiling fell in... In her panic Jeska moved-quickly to a few miles away from the hotel. Hope they didn't mind the ceiling... (In reality she collapsed not only her room but those above her for 3 floors and a few near them)
Jeska began to practice outside now in the woods, not wanting to hurt another ceiling or floor, she would lift rocks, large and small and move them also she would move-quickly from place to place. Once she felt she knew enough about her abilities she came to the nearest city, a place called Freedom. She thought it appropriate as she was completely Free. The places to eat, however, were not free. She went back to helping... working is what people called it, for money for food and for things to wear... clothing. She didn't have to have a place to stay as while she was out in the woods she found she could move-quickly to a place that had a nice bed and it was well lit. Its ceiling also had stars for her to count...
Another year had passed, she was working for a store to get money and they told her she could keep her money in a bank, they would hold it for safe-keeping. While at the bank another man with a gray object... gun they were called, came in and demanded money. This time he had friends, five men each with guns. Jeska told the men they would have to work for it, that is how things worked. The man then tried to hit her with his fist and was surprised when it disappeared a few inches from her body and reappeared on the side of his face, hitting himself in the jaw. As that man fell to the ground his five friends yelled at her and started firing their guns, but she had practiced that too while outside, using rocks and pine cones. Their bullets disappeared just inches from her and reappeared high in the air, shooting into a large wooden sign so no one would be hurt by a bullet. Once they were out of bullets she raised her hands, not in surrender but in joy and the five men floated into the air until they hit the ceiling. Shortly after the people in blue... police, showed up along with someone in a fancy outfit, his name was Thunder... or Lightning... she didn't catch it but she did hear him say they were looking for people like her to help protect the city.

Story (For Freedom League)
Trish was born into a normal childhood, a good student, a good daughter, cute to some but nothing striking about her to warrant a second look. That all changed on her 16th birthday.
She woke up to find she looked like a supermodel she idealized so much, a birthday dream come true! She flipped her high school days right around after that day, becoming one of the popular cheerleader type girls though she often had to run off for periods of time because she didn't know how to control her abilities yet and sometimes she would start morphing into her old self, a random kid around her, or sometimes even an animal!
She learned of Clairemont High about halfway through her Freshman year and in her Sophomore year she 'transferred' after applying and showing what she could do (very messily I might add, she had nearly no idea how to actively change, she just went with her emotions that day) through CHS she learned to use her morphing abilities better to the point where she could copy nearly anyone just by looking at them or a picture though she could never get her hair or eye color to change... it was some sort of mental block that even a cute Irish mentalist she dated named Sl1ce or was it Hack?... couldn't get through. She learned to live with it and from time to time would try using wigs to change her hair color instead or colored contacts to change her eye color.
During her Senior year at CHS her parents found out she 'quit' high school, as they didn't know about CHS, and kicked her out for deceiving them for nearly 3 years. She stayed at a few friends houses for a month or two then had the idea to use her abilities for personal gain. Not going as far as to become a super villain, what she did was changed herself so no one would recognize her and got a job at a "Gentleman's Club" named "The Paper Tiger" to pay her own bills and get her own apartment. She balanced things pretty well too, not having to sleep very long has the advantage of having a job and school and still the time to focus on both. At first she did the job for the money as it was quick and very easy for one that could adjust her looks to be any image of beauty she wished, but after a while she started to like the attention she got from it. She never slipped into the other 'practices' that some of her fellow workers did, staying on the clean and narrow and following the rules, so some began to caller her the "Saint of Strip Clubs".
Coming out of CHS with good grades and a recommendation to join a few hero teams, most of them were slightly shady and in different countries but one she really liked, Freedom City.

Notes: Her Variable is mainly to give her access to stuff for her Animal/Insect forms, things like Flight when she is a bird, Swimming when she is a Fish, that kind of thing. I keep it lower level so she doesn't have access to too much and thus can't be a 'swiss army knife' character, she is more of a Spork ;p. She does do some cool effects with it from time to time, giving herself red-feathered Angel wings while still human being one of them also it helps her hit a cap if she needs to (though only one at a time, she could go to 12 Toughness or 13 Dodge or 13 Parry but none of them at the same time)
Her costume and all clothing she wears is part of her shapeshifting power (much like Mystique or Morph from X-Men) thus if her abilities are nullified there is sure to be an interesting moment for those around that are shy/faint of heart. Her Attractive is likewise part of it, she isn't bad looking normally but it's her power that makes her drop-dead gorgeous, and finally her Diehard is also her power. (A fun note: Even her three-leaf clover tattoo is her power. She is slightly afraid of needles, though not enough to be a complication)

Design Notes
Neki is a poor mans Spider-Man with a twist! (/M.Knight) she is a Telekinetic, using 'TK' ropes to webswing as well as blast people, make mental TK 'Daggers', create a forcefield and normal telekinesis. She isn't very good at her TK abilities though and needs to wear these gauntlets to help her focus (on the plus side she can focus much better with them on, allowing her to power up some things; ie. The Variable power on it)
