Don't worry White Howler, getting the ideas worked into actual text is always the trickiest part of the creation process. We can wait.

But not for too long. . .

In Loving Memory of Beth (White Howler)

Postby Lyger III » Tue May 27, 2008 4:07 am

Dear Drunk Driver
by Andrianna Holt

How can you get behind
The wheel and drink and drive
With all the innocent people
In this world trying to survive?

How can you justify
Taken another life
Someone's brother
Sister or wife?

How do you look
In their parents' eyes
And say I took
Your only child's life?

How do you look
At yourself in the mirror
And realize you killed someone
After only drinking one beer?

Do you ever ask yourself
WHY?
You had to be so stupid
And drink and drive

Or do you even care
You took a life
Because you will only
Get one to five?

While the innocent victim
Pays with their life.

In Loving Memory of Beth (White Howler)

My sister Beth was killed due the negligence of a drunk driver who had no value for her life or anyone's life. I want to tell you all just what has been taken all too soon from this world, and just what type of person my sister was, I want you all to know her! Beth loved everyone so much and would only see the good in everyone. She truly believed that every person had good qualities and that they had much to offer this world. Not many people I know would seek out only the good qualities in a person the way Beth did. Beth had so many talents that brightened the day's of our lives.

Beth was such a sweet person, she had a very tender heart and would do anything she could to ensure those around her were happy. Her tender heart caused her great pain also as she would allow herself to be the one hurt to spare other's pain and hurt. Beth never drank, smoked, or abused any of our household rules. She truly enjoyed life and brought happiness to me and others around her. I miss her laughter so much, knowing I'll never hear her voice, or see her again is too much pain to bear. I miss the talks I had with her, the jokes we use to share, the shoulders we gave each other to cry on when we were hurt. Beth and I often talked about how she wanted to have children and all she would do with her children and husband when she would marry and have children, now she'll never be able to accomplish her dream. We use to go to the mall and shop and have lunch together, we did so much together now I do things alone, with just the memory of my sister.

I am sorry for your loss, she will be sorely missed around here.
:(

She was one of those bright lights on this board, and i'm sure many would agree with that statement. Mnay of us got to see just a small glimmer of her creativity, and kindness when it came to many of her posts on the forums. And even though she is gone now, her bright light has not dimmed. Because that bright light, has moved up into the heavens for everyone to see.

Oh God...

Howler was always dear to me, regardless of what had happened between us. When we first started talking she had already been a pleasent presence on my old thread. She PMed me a question and I told her that it'd take me a while to answer it because I wasn't feeling well (my Cancer drama having just started then). She took the time, instant messaged me, and we talked to one another. We then proceeded to talk to each other online every day for nearly a year. I don't really know what I can say that would really express how I feel about her. The best I can manage is that in the absence of her joy for life, wildly creative nature, and just plain goodness these boards, and to a large extent the entire world, is a darker place for having lost her.

You'll be missed dearly Beth.

-Andy
